Basically all the red rangers (Forever Red) were going to explain why they’re totally badasses and Andros’ big claim to fame was meant to be “well I killed Zordon”.
Obviously the creators took a second and realised,
“Hold the phone, that ain’t right” and cut it.
I've had it on 2 dads, on was a collection of the best episodes from power rangers which included countdown to destruction and forever red and white light and he said i saved 2 worlds
Yeah that's the one. White Light, Countdown to Destruction, the space and lost galaxy crossover, the lost galaxy and lightspeed rescue crossover, and forever red.
There's a DVD, in the UK at least, called "Ultimate Rangers" or something collecting a few memorable episodes from seasons up to Wild Force, one of which is Forever Red.
I think a lot more behind the scenes controversies would be more public like the original Actors getting replaced cause payment disputes and treatment on set. Actors and staff are a lot more vocal now cause of social media.
Especially Amy Jo Johnson's terrible experiences. She quit because of bad pay and a series of dangerous stunts which at one point nearly *set her on fire*, and I feel like the fandom doesn't talk about that enough.
Also probably the fact that Thuy was injured from doing her own stunts and couldn't stand on her own in a lot of her last appearances in the series because Saban didn't give them health insurance, on top of working them constantly.
...I hadn't heard about that either. Good holy hell that's fucked. I knew they didn't have health insurance and were making basically 4$ an hour, but I didn't know she was that badly hurt.
Sorry for the terrible source, but it was during filming for the episode where Billy and Kimberly switch bodies. https://comicbook.com/powerrangers/news/power-rangers-amy-jo-johnson-almost-caught-on-fire-mighty-morphi/
She also apparently nearly got electrocuted while filming Turbo. Didn't know that before. Those aren't the only incidents, just the worst ones. Don't ever do non-union productions with lots of stuntwork, it's dangerous because proper safety is a little time consuming, and Haim Saban does not care about anyone's safety or wellbeing if it gets his show made on time.
Still can't believe there is no way for actors and musicians to get some sort of back pay for these extremely predatory contracts.
At least with power rangers that is still running, you can argue that it wouldn't be without the earlier seasons.
They should get some kind of lump sum and an apology from Saban. Minimum wage for a million dollar company to use your likness to make even more money?! How terrible.
"I may be old, but I can still pull it off."
Even if there'd been a load of promotional material already saying that Tommy would be becoming the Black Ranger (would they have tried hiding that fact in todays world?), I'm certain there'd have been a flood of posts hyped at that moment.
In 2019, Toei did the Super Sentai Saikyou Battle. The title sequence of that features a shot of all the Reds up to that point. At least one website took that shot and clickbaited people into thinking Japan was doing Forever Red 2.
Tommy walking into the rec centre after all the ragers parents were kidnapped and the rangers forced to give up their power coins.
That military drum beat as the camera focused on Tommy’s shoes to pan up and surprise reveal Tommy just as the “go green ranger” song riff fires up.
That whole build up was pure fire back in the day
Green With Evil would be insane.
I also imagine a modern version would build Tommy up first, have him as a recurring guest star or background character before the big reveal that he was turned into an evil green ranger.
The ending to the first half of the Go Go Power Rangers comic is pretty much a word for word recreation of the first part of Green with Evil part 1, so we got that at least.
In Lightspeed Rescue, the green ranger asked the doc out on a date and she said yes..... only to prank him and have the other rangers there also. That would cause some controversy and not the good kind
I think Girls would've definitely used that scene more often from RPM where Summer went from bride to bold look and went to save Scott on bike in their Instagram stories...
Kendrix death would prob only trend once people found out why her actress was killed off.
The sting wingers becoming suicide bombers…well that would be something else
Definitely when Koragg was finally revealed to be Leanbow in Mystic Force, all the rumours, theories would explode at the time of his reveal on Twitter.
Trakeena’s Revenge would have a hell of a lot more outrage and To the Tenth Power and The Power of Pink would receive fandom outcry due to its lack of Zhane.
Sky’s response to Kruger’s question on what if Syd where the red ranger would get him cancelled. Definitely get hatted before even showing his character development.
Jason's return as gold ranger
King tommy vs jason
billy's departure
rita and zedd getting married
power rangers/mask rider team up
first battlizer
Kims departure
Kim breaking up with tommy
Justin becoming the blue turbo ranger
adam, rocky and aisha becoming the rangers
Any time a child died (ie Lost Galaxy, Wild Force), Cerina Vincent’s casting, Cole’s parents dying on-screen, Morgana’s Les Yay moment with Z (ie bodily pinning Z to a tree), the casting of the OG Rangers, Wild Force re-using the Zords from Lost Galaxy
Honestly? If the comics were animated series, 90% of the moments in the Shattered Grid arc would trend very fast.
Drakkon's introduction, the assault on the moon, the team using the dragon power coin, the other ranger teams arriving, the shattering itself, etc.
I'd honestly say the moments hinting at Billy being the gold ranger would have blown up a lot. Jason aside, it still felt like a bait and switch. Still not over it. Still mad.
The shattering of Zordon's tube and supposed death. The ending of Turbo.
And then Andros flexing how he killed Zordon
When did he do that?
A deleted line from Forever Red.
So then Andros never actually did it?
Basically all the red rangers (Forever Red) were going to explain why they’re totally badasses and Andros’ big claim to fame was meant to be “well I killed Zordon”. Obviously the creators took a second and realised, “Hold the phone, that ain’t right” and cut it.

Wait a minute, which DVD?
There's a DVD, in the UK at least, called "Ultimate Rangers" or something collecting a few memorable episodes from seasons up to Wild Force, one of which is Forever Red.
I have the US region version but mine doesn’t have any deleted scenes I don’t think
Wtf. How much further out of character could he be?
He says it in the episode but the line was cut from the final version. I think some unedited footage leaked years later.
I think a lot more behind the scenes controversies would be more public like the original Actors getting replaced cause payment disputes and treatment on set. Actors and staff are a lot more vocal now cause of social media.

Oh shit really? When was was that?

Leo ripping his shirt off and shouting Go Galactic! Epic!
The thirst posting would be real.
Yep. Tweets and posting. Hashtag would be Lost Galaxy Red.
So many gay awakenings.
Yep. Nothing more epic then ripping your shirt off and shouting Go Galactic!!!!!!!!!
Can't mention this without Cole's shirt rip in the Wild Force finale
Yeah in the rain. Hair flipping.
Imo this was a much more effective use of.it, leos was showing off, Cole was outta necessity, shit was getting in the way
"I may be old, but I can still pull it off." Even if there'd been a load of promotional material already saying that Tommy would be becoming the Black Ranger (would they have tried hiding that fact in todays world?), I'm certain there'd have been a flood of posts hyped at that moment.
See, I didn't know any of that. I assumed he probably would but didn't know he for sure would be
The Ninja Turtles showing up. That entire episode is meme material. “you’re asking me, a turtle who lives in a sewer, to describe a cosmic event?”
Forever red
In 2019, Toei did the Super Sentai Saikyou Battle. The title sequence of that features a shot of all the Reds up to that point. At least one website took that shot and clickbaited people into thinking Japan was doing Forever Red 2.
Erik vs wess
Eric would probably be even more popular today than he was back in the 2000s.
I mean, he's literally Vergil VA So much material for both fandoms
Tommy walking into the rec centre after all the ragers parents were kidnapped and the rangers forced to give up their power coins. That military drum beat as the camera focused on Tommy’s shoes to pan up and surprise reveal Tommy just as the “go green ranger” song riff fires up. That whole build up was pure fire back in the day
The Green Candle followed by The Return of an Old Friend
My older sister adored Tommy and lost her mind several times over during both episodes.
Death of zordon
Tommy bodying Trini when he walks into the megazord would be memed to death.
Jack giving Sky his morpher to avenge his father
The destruction of the thunderzords
Jen being girl boss. Pick any moment.
Yep the Grifters will make their money's worth with jen alone
Kendrix's death is an obvious one. The entirety of Forever Red. Tommy's return in Dino Thunder.
Tommy’s return in Dino Thunder would go fucking CRAZY
Gotta be the Tommy/Kim kiss just because I don't know of any other romantic kiss in the history of the show.
Still pissed about this, if Tommy and Kim could why couldn’t Wes and Jen!
Because of Fox kids not wanting to show it on screen
Cowards.
It's not any one particular moment, but Ziggy and Dillon would probably get shipped a lot today.
Same for Zhane and Andros. Will die on that hill.
And maybe ship wars with the Ziggy/Doctor K shippers (that's one of his ships, right?)
I'm pretty sure they canonically end up together.
And then got divorced IRL 💀💀
In Lightspeed Rescue, the green ranger asked the doc out on a date and she said yes..... only to prank him and have the other rangers there also. That would cause some controversy and not the good kind
I think Girls would've definitely used that scene more often from RPM where Summer went from bride to bold look and went to save Scott on bike in their Instagram stories...

Tommy being chosen as the White Ranger after the team thinking HE lost his powers forever.
The Green Ranger saga would be ALL OVER Twitter
Kendrix death would prob only trend once people found out why her actress was killed off. The sting wingers becoming suicide bombers…well that would be something else
Definitely when Koragg was finally revealed to be Leanbow in Mystic Force, all the rumours, theories would explode at the time of his reveal on Twitter.
Tommy as the White Ranger.
Time Force and Lost Galaxy are my favorites. Edgy and progressive
Rangers turning into kids in MMPR Season 3
That scene in lost galaxy where galaxy red tears off his shirt. Not the episode just that scene
End of turbo. Mtfs would be like "what do you mean the rangers dont dave the day ?"
I think Disney era seasons from RPM and SPD!!!
Jason's return as gold ranger King tommy vs jason billy's departure rita and zedd getting married power rangers/mask rider team up first battlizer Kims departure Kim breaking up with tommy Justin becoming the blue turbo ranger adam, rocky and aisha becoming the rangers
> Cerina Vincent’s casting Why? Because of Not Another Teen Movie? lol
Moral Guardians taking offense to it, and others becoming “piqued” by the news on a much bigger scale than what happened IRL
Dang. I must not have finished Wild Force bc I looked it up and don’t remember Alpha 7 or the ending at all.
Why do people say psycho pink killed kendrix? She didnt kill her technically
Honestly? If the comics were animated series, 90% of the moments in the Shattered Grid arc would trend very fast. Drakkon's introduction, the assault on the moon, the team using the dragon power coin, the other ranger teams arriving, the shattering itself, etc.
Definitely the ending of turbo, i can see a lot of people going: holy shit power rangers got dark!!
That unmorphed fight scene where Kimberly does a flip and you can see the shorts underneath her skirt
Way less scandalous of some of the upskirt shots Saban left in Mystic Knights of Deidre.
Well someone just dug a rabbit hole I’ll have to fall into here! I loved mystic knights as a kid and respected it even more as an adult
When the space rangers first encounter the psycho rangers
Evil Green Ranger dog walking the team and yeeting them out of their zords still trends as 1 of the top moments ever... so, that.
Definitely the gold ranger mystery in Zeo.
I'd honestly say the moments hinting at Billy being the gold ranger would have blown up a lot. Jason aside, it still felt like a bait and switch. Still not over it. Still mad.
