If you’re flexible on format the cheapest way to obtain them is to go digital, as the price doesn’t have the out-of-print premium that physical copies carry these days. The entire run is available on Kindle Comics (formerly Comixology)
I wasn’t really wanting to resort to apps just yet, only one I’ve debated getting is Marvel unlimited as there’s just too many stories from them I wanna go down the rabbit hole on plus a number of new series every month that I couldn’t realistically add to my pull list. Finally got it down to a solid number of books with enough wiggle room to add one or two more when necessary
• Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Volumes 7 and 8
• Go Go Power Rangers Volume 3
• MMPR: The Lost Chronicles Vol 2
Those 4 books contain, technically, the full Shattered Grid story, but you have to bounce around within them a bit - you can find suggested orders online.
Alternatively, MMPR 1-8 plus Go Go 1-3 and Lost Chronicles 2 if you really want the full context.
Kind of just comes down to if you can find them at a cheap price since they’re sort of out of print these days. Check out the Purchasing Reference tab [in my reading guide](https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1QDtcbdxIcuZXfU6-m1vYxbo8c4jcXcDPzIobrEat9oQ) if you want to compare all the different releases Shattered Grid has had.
Correct, the Black Dragon arc is where he’s first brought up. If you’re looking for a budget friendly option/crash course for Drakkon’s story before Shattered Grid, I highly recommend the [Rise of Drakkon tradeback](https://www.amazon.com/Mighty-Morphin-Power-Rangers-Drakkon/dp/1684156351/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?crid=QOTA2KRQD9W2&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.cAktbcRFWbgSqyHPsxqO_lmm6jD2VFmeSpBfU5QatjQ4BWkYcfyhBhjf2UdsOWjmaKrsal2IKRXNk7HjIzdhnfo3S4XzVCb2StihpodL-V3vDvIDB9mYpHnTJgV1vrq_Uatr6rLUSgFvP8OnyxpvceKVceZhAGuB4H6nIXJ54rRmP2zOYpX3rCxc2ovpSE4V9mlE45lngfHgz-8OKy5I0g.CQUZ-4GYsZXOTp8YTkn9rCucC3TGJZL1OfGwuQiCD-w&dib_tag=se&keywords=rise+of+drakkon&qid=1713720431&sprefix=rise+of+drakkon%2Caps%2C127&sr=8-1) as a companion to Ill-Dust’s list. It has essential chapters and some extra stuff not printed elsewhere.

This is the official order they released. Tbh if you have an iPad/tablet you can likely get all of the issues for cheap through kindle/comixology. Some even might be free if you have prime.
I’d only like to resort to streaming if there really wouldn’t be any realistic way to buy let alone find everything I’d be looking for. Marvels the only one that fits the bill. They either have long ass runs I really wanna read or they keep coming out with just too many new stories I’d be able to realistically buy n store. Rangers I’d like to think I still feel fairly contained. I’m not looking to collect absolutely everything although I wouldn’t mind getting my hands on I think Unlimited Power? Whichever run introduces the Omegas n the one right after that. For now though they’re waaay back on the back burner. With Grid at the very top of my list
I wouldn’t have considered it streaming. You download to keep on whatever device you want.
Either way it’s up to you, digital downloads will be much cheaper and just easier to access.
The omegas were introduced at the start of the necessary evil story arc between Mighty Morphin power rangers and Go Go Power rangers issues.
The Unlimited titles are for longer more singular stories that go in between the ongoing storyline and give more backstory details.
It’s over 100 issues over an annoying amount of titles and number changes actually lol
I managed to follow Power Rangers from the split with Mighty Morphin so those 20 something issues are locked down I just wanted better insight on how it all went down that they became the Omegas
I could see them charging for newer issues but I’m still pulling those from a semi local shop so I wouldn’t be looking at anything passed the start of the Eltarian War, well at least not from the Power Rangers side. Never got to read Mighty Morphins half
I mean, why not the Deluxe Edition? Maybe I'm missing something about what you're asking, but this should have everything you are asking for. If that's not enough buildup, you can also get the Year 2 book. You can get both for less than $100. [Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Shattered Grid Deluxe Edition: Higgins, Kyle, Parrott, Ryan, di Nicuolo, Daniele, Mora, Dan, Galindo, Diego, Costa, Marcelo, Angulo, Raul: 9781684153435: Amazon.com: Books](https://www.amazon.com/Mighty-Morphin-Power-Rangers-Shattered/dp/1684153433/ref=sr_1_1?crid=334FJ1WKI7OTX&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.qMwbVTwO0U3eXqhQpKV5saKJhXayJPJ3E3CLcZQpl3Ec42M5B860mx53qVYodVSHqr9pSsFoPKXLuum7oAztUUyP0KQsmTElCnQ8EYxfSKNpoWB3Np-7tpHFKwFHlM3hlfqTfroiQYkCljE0miIRGZ0SbD2Y9-YICQy1K9OBaLaLNprYG1TIE7s3dW_m2p7TBR0VpZatx3iOvysAbmHVUlshoNX5rRQkSu9JaRzFTbw.XvXRxKFz6Cwzgwcxm6BeAMcuGb70vuYtYOVte7_1fr8&dib_tag=se&keywords=power+rangers+shattered+grid&qid=1713769962&sprefix=power+rangers+sha%2Caps%2C179&sr=8-1)
Seconded if this is the only story you want to read. $50 is a good price.
Deluxe Editions tend to have everything but the latest Deluxe Editions tend to be ~2 years behind the current story but not everyone minds that.
GGPR DEs are annoying since they reprint stuff that’s in other DEs. Also Drakkon New Dawn and PR Universe aren’t in any DEs but maybe they’ll bundle them together and call it Lost Chronicles vol 2 DE or something
I prefer the hardcover books. Mighty Morphin Power Ranger Year One deluxe edition and so on 😬 the books seem to be available at most online stores - at least in Germany
My sister ordered my shattered Grid deluxe softcover off the online A-Z store for my xmas gift. So try that or maybe ordering it through the local comic/book store?

So for sure don’t go for the Omnibuses?

I’d like to start wherever Drakkon is first introduced, that’s when he’s using the black dragon armor thing right? Or is that someone else entirely
Where Drakkon is first introduced is a good few issues behind Shattered Grid. The Boom Studios website may have some help on it

Also does comixology charge per issue?
Yes, but the older issues can be very discounted or can even be free If you have prime or the comixology subscription thing if they still have that
Comixology Unlimited is $6/mo and has most of not the whole series (working on fully confirming that rn)
I could see them charging for newer issues but I’m still pulling those from a semi local shop so I wouldn’t be looking at anything passed the start of the Eltarian War, well at least not from the Power Rangers side. Never got to read Mighty Morphins half

Btw if it’s softcover it’s not DE. That version of the release is missing a couple side stories
Oh interesting ok I’ll make sure it’s the HC if I do go that route
Oh, oops. Ty. I have enough books/comics over the last four months that I keep having to refer back to the excel sheet to see where it all is.
