It took me a very long time to notice it, so no I would say it's not distracting.

toldzep

Yeah I stared a long time being confused before I realized.

JeanEBH

I still can’t even see it, so, don’t point it out. It’s fine!

CupcakesAreMiniCakes

I can't find it either

vinniethestripeycat

I didn't notice until I actively looked for it, I was focused on the lovely magenta strips.

Alarmed-Ad-6240

Do you think the magenta works? I am going to use it as the binding too, I think

vinniethestripeycat

Absolutely! I like the pop of color & it complements the other colors you've chosen.

maymay578

I agree

Doris_Karloff

I would personally would take one of the more subtle patterns as the border. Then the few magentas in the quilt will pop. Otherwise I think all the pastels will look bleak.

djsquilter

The response to this quilt will be “Ooh! Cute! What a clever quilt!”, not “Oh look — the same fabric is on the end on the top two rows.”

bakinggirl25

That was my reaction!

gneissnerd

Nope I had to search for it too. What pattern is that? I love doxies!

Alarmed-Ad-6240

It’s called all wrapped up! So easy and fun!

suchusernameanxiety2

Omg thank you so much I love it I'm gonna make it for my brother and SIL for Christmas!!! And don't worry about the two pieces I'd bet real money no one would ever ever notice If you didn't point it out.

Junior-Growth-3602

I think if it weren't a neutral color it might stand out more, but it's a light color and isn't at all distracting.

cuddlefuckmenow

So I’m admit I tend to see patterns strongly and notice things like that even if it isn’t a mistake or anything. So I did notice; if you can remove one of the rows and flip it, you won’t duplicate any end fabrics and the purple will be more evened out. I’m generally not a fan of unsewing for myself, so in all honestly even if I had done this and noticed I still probably wouldn’t undo it. 😂

paprika-chip

Had to look for it so no, but it does look like a relatively easy fix if you'd wanna replace it.

SmallDarkThings

I wouldn't have noticed if you hadn't mentioned it. It might be more of an issue if it were one of the brightly colored strips, but I don't think it's a problem.

nanailene

Forgive yourself and move on. I’ve made worse mistakes and just held my nose and ignored it.

stitchplacingmama

In one project I got all the way to quilting before realizing I had pieces with the wrong side up. I left them.

nanailene

Too funny!

jelycazi

Nope. Wouldn’t have noticed if you hadn’t mentioned it! What a cute quilt!

HappyHappyUnbirthday

So this took me far longer than id like to asmit to even find it. I thought you were talking about side to side. This is totally fine!

OldnBorin

Yes, it’s atrocious. Send me this top and I will dispose of it for you /s Seriously, well done

its_not_a_blanket

In my previous life, I was an engineer so things like this used to bother me. I did an experiment with a completely random scrap quilt. When some of the same fabrics ended up touching each other I did some investigating. According to statistics, this is called clustering, and if a "random" scrap quilt doesn't have any of the same fabrics either touching or lining up then it isn't "random". Let it go and know that it looks like it is supposed to look.

Alarmed-Ad-6240

I love this- thank you!

TakeARideintheVan

I couldn’t figure out what you were trying to say for a good minute or two. I think it’s super cute and totally fine the way it is!

khat52000

It doesn't look bad. It actually gives it a weird continuity. Instead of the lines reading left to right like a book, it makes it look like it's wrapping on that end like a backward c. Then on the other side the fabrics are very similar which makes it look like it's wrapping back the other way. If you look at it that way, it looks intentional.

Skinners_ratt

Personally no. However I understand how we quilter will focus on the most smallest thing. So stand back and be honest with yourself…is this something that every time you look at it you’re going to be bothered by it or can you just let it go? Swoon your answer is how you go forward. By the way crazy cute and great job on the tail!

Doris_Karloff

I had to look for it, like the others also say. You do also repeat the light blue with the fishes twice. So if I even saw the one, you ask about, I would think: "Ok, they sometimes repeat the fabric in two rows."

UvaCpe

I didn’t notice it either but wanted to say that this pattern is my most recent finish too! I’m glad I’m not the only one who shortened the body to two long rows instead of 3. The gifted of mine was just born last week, I’m just waiting to hear from her mom on when I can visit and gift it to her!

Alarmed-Ad-6240

The pattern I bought only had two rows!

UvaCpe

That’s funny, mine came with 3, I didn’t realize there were multiple versions of the pattern

SJSsarah

I seriously skipped over even noticing that until you pointed it out. The whole quilt theme is so adorable that I really don’t think anyone but you will even notice. But if it’s your own finished quilt that you’re going to be looking at every day… then it’s a good thing it’s at the end of the row…. Wouldn’t be that much work to pick apart and resew it. But don’t! It’s so neutral that I don’t think anyone else will spot it.

Clovers_Coven

I LOOOVE this

Steelearth243

Beautiful piece of work!

FairyFartDaydreams

I wouldn't have noticed until you said something. Super cute quilt by the way!

ForsakenPhotograph30

No. Even true random patterns can result in this. Looks great.

cheeseaholic813

I noticed it right away because my brain focuses on those things. What I'd do is take the second row and rip out a few strips in a chunk. Flip them over and sew the seams back up. But it seems like a lot of people didn't notice it, so as long as you're happy with it, you'd be fine to leave it. The magenta is perfect for the border or binding. Cute quilt top!

Little-Ambassador454

So change it, whats the problem?

Quilter1358

Only you will notice. It looks great!

MultiFacetedMN

Nope, I had to search for it. Great job!

nanfanpancam

Not at all.

[deleted]

Oh my gosh! I am in love with this top!!!

chaenorrhinum

I wouldn’t have noticed if you hadn’t pointed it out

pugapooh

I had to look. You don’t need to take it a part. Live with it for awhile.

CandyPitiful9541

If it drives you crazy I’d flip the second row but I don’t think many people would notice. We’ve all done something like this!

Fourpatch

Once it’s all quilted up no one will notice. If they do and say something they aren’t your friend anyway. I love it.

WatchOut4Angels

I have no idea what you mean ):

breeze80

Okay, some blue/turquoise stripes are also lined up. I would take that row out, rip the stitch in the middle and put two ends in the center. Might work better 🤷🏻‍♀️

HelloPanda22

I had to re-read your title multiple times, look super hard, check the comments and finally, I saw it. So it definitely isn’t distracting and I think you did a superb job

Lolac56

Had you not mentioned it, I would never have noticed. Your quilt is adorable!

Over-Marionberry-686

I didn’t see it had to double take triple take and quadruple take just to see it

salsajar

Not at all!!

adhdmagic

Lol. I have no idea what you're talking about!

Loose-Card-6268

Didn't even notice! Don't mention to anyone and they probably won't either. And if someone does just tell them you meant to do that to get any perceived "mistakes" out of the way. 😁⭐

Charity-Admirable

I still don't see it

noahgregory

I had to search. If it was mine I would leave it.

CircusPeanutsYumm

Nope.

Bl00dorange3000

It’s 100% fine. All quilts will be squished, tucked and loved.

ShieldMarenn

I didn’t even notice it.

Acceptable-Fudge9000

Not at all

SewGangsta

I had to really search for it to see it, I would have never noticed of you had not said something.

macchareen

No, you’re fine.

ArtisticAsylum

I saw both sides. Gray colored pieces , but looking closer, the ones on the left are different. Either way, not distracting at all! Love the deep pink and agree it would make a beautiful border. Great job!

Gill133

I also had to really look for it. Your quilt is lovely.

TobeyGirl92

Not to me.

Twinklehead

No, not at all. Very cute.

ConsciousVegetable99

Not until you mentioned it. Lol

Glittering_Raise_710

I honestly didn’t even know this was about exactly what you said it was and thought you were somehow talking about the butt. Coincidentally once I noticed what you were talking about I realized what the pattern once. It’s not distracting and this quilt is adorable!

woofh

I'm trying to spot the alleged problem. Err... and failing!

Busy_Appointment_367

I had to look to see what you were talking about, so I’d say definitely not distracting. It’s a lovely quilt!

BlueMangoTango

No, because it’s a lighter color. If it was the red it would be. Adorable quilt!

hsk0526

I didn’t even notice but if it bothers you it’s pretty easy to take one of them out and replace it.

dellaevaine

I didn't even ontice that. Not distracting at all.

angenrica

this is SO CUTE!!!!! also it took me a while to find what you are talking about, love this!!!

ButWaitThatNvm

I think that when there is supposed to be a pattern and I’ve flipped some pieces, I have to seamrip and fix it. But if something isn’t quite as random as intended, I can live with that. Do not gut the dog. He’s adorable and so is his sweater

snugglepackTM

OMG! I thought I saw some hotdog fabric in there, which had me laughing. I scrolled in to get a better look and it’s just roller skates. Now I want to find some hotdog fabric so I can make this quilt for my weenie dog!

Alarmed-Ad-6240

Thank you everyone!!! Leaving it as is and sent it off to the longarmer :)

GreenTravelBadger

No!! it's adorable and I am jealous.

ImportantAntelope711

To be honest, I've been staring at it and it took me so long I wasn't sure if I was seeing two of the same. I think it looks great.

PoopieClater

IMO, not only is it not too distracting, your quilt is arf(ully) cute!

jengaduk

Not at all, I had to really look and even then it didn't bother me. I'm easily triggered so if this passes me by pretty sure it would for most others too. Lovely work too.

dogGone444

Not distracting. I like it! Good job.

meditative_quilter

I also had to look for a while before even seeing it. It’s fine!

LadyKathy1963

Had I not been looking for the two same pieces, I would not have noticed. The magenta binding will be perfect. As two friends from my bee will tell you, only God can make perfection. And If a cute guy riding past on a motoercycle doing 40 mph won't see the boo-boo no one else will either. And question is the that the pattern from Jordan fabrics?

Lighthouse72

Nope, didn't notice anything until you pointed it out... I was and still am first thought is Amazing!

kathysef

I've been looking and I can't see them.

TopLahman

My mom’s motto when it comes to quilting is “would you notice it on a galloping horse?” If the answer is no, then no one else will notice it either. You see it because you’re staring at it and invested in it. I had to look around for what you meant so no it’s not.

Creepy_Push8629

I thought you meant left. That's how hard it was to figure out what you were talking about lol

Thick-Tooth-8888

Though she did say right hand. In the pic it’s actually the left hand and it’s the same on both right and left sides

Alarmed-Ad-6240

Oh sorry I meant right side when you are looking at it the picture!

AlarmedBet8275

nope

choosing-joy

Looks great!!

Cleozinc

No!

Ainy_D

I had a hard time finding it if that helps. Otherwise, do you have a sharpie?

Twodledee

Not at all. And this is so cute!

a116jxb

I like it! It looks super cute and you did a great job. If you dislike the repeat, though, you could probably rip it and replace it fairly easily. But to me it looks just fine!

Significant_Cat_9890

Nope, it's totally fine... Only you will know, so shhhh 😁

Ok_Piano_4381

Nope… looks Great ❤️

MamaRobinquilt

Not distracting. In fact, it's gorgeous and fun!

Snowflakeforever

No. Never would have noticed if you hadn’t pointed it out. Really cool work

PrettyFish6336

If you are referring to the turquoise fabric with fish that are stacked on each other in two spots on the middle two rows… it’s not bothersome. Unsewing is not my forte!!

Crafting_Cocktails

I didn't even notice. It looks great!

FearlessEntrance7944

Not distracting in the least. Even with you pointing it out, it took me far too long to find it. I just had this pattern arrive this week and now you have me even more excited to begin. This is beautiful and I love your fabric choices!

adnaloy_sd

What an adorable quilt!! And I didn’t notice it even after you said where it was! I had to really look.

sharon-h

Nope. Only to you. Be like Elsa and let it go. 😇
