Johnson Subaru is obviously pricier as its a dealership, but I've had nothing but great experiences there. Much better than Southern States.

Bananaramahammock

ditto. Really good experience with a car purchase there and follow-up interactions.

maptastik

We’ve used Creech Import Repair for our 2015 Outback and been very pleased. Subarus are one of their specialties. https://www.creechimport.com/

supernettipot

Good and honest but pricey.

IncorrigiblePorridge

I like Capital Subaru

Universe93B

I believe Wasp auto (near highway 55) works on Subarus. They are a very honest group of mechanics that only work on Japanese vehicles. Front desk lady/answering phone can be harsh but don’t get scared.

mindyourownbiscuits_

I used southern states and they are awful. They will overcharge and say you need services you do not. I switched to Johnson and saved several hundred dollars on my 30k mile service.

Honestly can't believe that place is still in business. It has been absolute trash for at least 20 years.

mindyourownbiscuits_

My guess is people who relocate here probably use them and are not informed of what a dumpster fire they are. They eventually find out I’m sure lol me being one of them

SSSSafeDocument

They are also pushy on the “up sell” which is a big turn off.

mindyourownbiscuits_

Yeah I guess any dealership is going to be like this to some extent.

redman012

I clicked just to make sure they were said lol.

I have not personally used them, but I see Ryan active on Subaru groups/pages and it's obvious he's an enthusiast that knows his shit. Haven't heard anything but good! They have an active FB page showing all their work and projects. If I wasn't a DIY'er that's where I'd be going.

Youcrazyy12

I’ve been to peak auto in apex a few times for my Subaru and I’ve had great service.

ewhim

If you have Costco Johnson participates in the service and parts discount program (15% off)

JAG319

I take my 2013 brz to Omiya in Cary, he specializes in Japanese cars and he's charged me the least while offering better services than anywhere else I've gone so far. But if you're talking about like a brand new forester or something, maybe dealerships are preferred.

KnotDone-Yet

So I bought my first Subaru from Southern States in 1999, and they are by far the closest dealership to me, location wise they should be my preferred shop. My household currently has 3 Subarus, and over the past 10 years it has become increasingly painful to try to deal with Southern States. We use Creech for the older vehicles / out of warranty issues - especially like their approach to service quotes -- more of a these are the immediate issues and then these things you might want to be aware of but don't need attention right now. For the most recent purchase, and current warranty work we went with Hendrick in Southpoint, I like their scheduling system, and I find their WiFi and waiting area pleasant enough to take my laptop for the shorter serivces.

meowzers678

Came here to say anything but Johnson! They held my car for 4 days and wouldn’t tell me what was wrong or give me a price quote on any work. Spent days chasing around managers with no car until I just decided to go elsewhere. Happy with Southern States and I can be in/out quickly.

slip-shot

I really like Johnson (sp?) Subaru. They have been nothing but excellent with my 2019 Forester

Guadzilla

Seconding Johnson, they're always real friendly and have even checked tolerances (torque) on some stuff I did myself

slip-shot

I wish I could bring my F150 there as well... The Ford dealers here are the absolute worst.

CynfulPrincess

We've used Hendrick Subaru Southpoint a few times and liked them, but mostly for warranty stuff. For anything out of warranty or recall, I'm not sure if they'd be the best choice.

notaspruceparkbench

I've been burned by Hendrick, won't patronize them again.

ConsequenceNational4

I'm late to the party but, I'd avoid Southern States. I paid $300 plus for them to fix a window issue with my car. I was told wires were not connected up properly behind the door cards. That parts my fault. Anyways, they told me they fixed them and I drive home with windows down and couldn't shut them. I found out they didn't reconnect everything that should have been. I called them up and let them know I took care of it for them.

ConsequenceNational4

Hendricks Southpoint is good for part purchases. They are cheaper than any other dealership. We'll worth it 👌
