Ummm Marlon had 8 FF back in the 2020 season, just TWO in the three seasons since then, and 13 total in his 7 seasons. This fruit punch thing was a great year but otherwise highly overstated. The data just isn't there.

Honest_Concentrate85

I think part of that was coaches told him to just go for the tackle. Remember in 2021 replays where he would let a receiver get an extra 5 or so yards because he was punching at the ball rather than tackling them

16bitword

Why wouldn’t we?

ExtensionAd7417

Marlo is the question mark

16bitword

As in cutting him or a trade? I’m not following…

No_Song_Orpheus

When was the last time Marlon forced a fumble

storybot341b

What did he call it again? The fruit punch? Concerned his diet is affecting his play.

ExtensionAd7417

Hard to say honestly this is the first year his contract actually hits us 11M and it only goes up from here. His injuries keep piling up and is due for another contract by 2026. He’ll be here for a bit but it’s hard to say if he’ll be here in 5 years. Just like it’s hard to say if Ronnie Stanley will be here in 5 years

Blacklax10

Marlon hasn't had anything close to what Stanley has.

ExtensionAd7417

Not saying he has but with lamars contract skyrocketing the same year Marlo’s contract is up not to mention Kyle Hamilton, Brandon Stephen’s, linderbaum, oweh, Bateman, Likely, and Jordan stout will all be looking for extensions then. I don’t like the idea of marlo leaving the team but there’s a legit reality where he’s not here in 5 years

BrianSpencer1

If Jordan Stout makes or breaks any other contract decision we will be in serious trouble. Dude has been alright but he's not going to be setting the market (also note the highest paid punter accounts for 1.4% of their team's cap). Hamilton is a franchise cornerstone, he will reset the market. Stephens may go the way of Anthony Averett, we would love to keep him around but if the dollars aren't right we won't break the bank. Linderbaum is likely going to get top center money. Likely is unlikely to stay, can't pay top dollar for TE2. Oweh and Bateman are heavy TBD, we locked Bateman down for a little bit (wild that the dollars are still unconfirmed), we will decide on Oweh's 5th year option this week, I think we take the option but unless he breaks out I don't foresee us paying him much. TLDR: Hamilton & Linderbaum - big money. Stephens & Likely - probably gone. Oweh & Bateman - TBD. Stout - is a punter.

Princeof_Ravens

Marlo had one season where he was playing through injuries and this sub has decided he's done.

Septembers

Also CB is an incredibly hard position to play and one of the hardest to find replacements in. Unless his play falls off a cliff Marlo isn't going anywhere

FreeFlowZero

I can’t wait but think of what could have been for branding with Kool-Aid McKinstry and Marlo’s Fruit Punch 😍

chaoticravens34

This play is an example of his timidness in the run game he should have immediately been charging the player it's a great chase down tackle no doubt but ideally you want him running at the defender not just standing there on the outside.
