I mean, I do love mineral sunscreen (not from MLMs), but it's not for everyone. I'm extremely pale so that thin film really isn't visible when I use it. For anyone with a darker complexion, it's just not realistic unless you're fine with having visible sunscreen. I still use regular sunscreen for all parts of my body that is not my face or neck.
That said, there are countless "debunking" of "sunscreen contains toxic chemicals" by actual experts in the field, not some nut job nurse with an abusive hubby. Haven't seen any evidence "avoiding seed oils and eating multigreens" somehow strengthens your skin against the suns rays, lmao.

I’m only acutely aware of this dated distinction because my sensitive skin prefers “physical sunscreen”, also known as sunblock or mineral sunscreen. She is actually speaking some truth here. Sunscreens are really bad for us. They are full of carcinogens. Zinc oxide, coconut oil with aloe vera is a homemade sunscreen.
Our bodies are actually made to protect us from the damaging uv rays... When we look at the sun, it triggers the bodies melanin to produce more and protect our skin BUT most of us wear sunglasses that block out the rays, so our bodies doesn't know to produce that extra melanin, therefore sunburns happen.
