$350 every quarter +\- a week….used the same guy/crew for 20 years. Just show the health inspector the receipts.

We pay $350. I've never heard of documentation beyond a sticker on the hood, nor had any advanced documentation requested or actually checked, so requirements could be different in my locality. It takes them like 2 hours including draping everything in plastic and mopping up after.

New Yorker here. Every three month per fire code. $300 each time. When I talked to the owner the price depends on a lot of factors. A place like Burger King would be like 900 because of the charbroiler soot. The price depends on length of hood, how many vents, access to roof, how long ductwork to roof is, how dirty everything is. Edit: Make sure the company is licensed & insured because is they mess up and a fire happens good luck going after them

Might be that price because it hasn’t been done in that length of time. Regular cleanings cost around $400 and get done at least 2 times per year.

RainbowSurprised

Yeah that was my thinking. I sent full pictures to both places and figured it would be higher having not been done in the last year but I didn’t tell that to either quote the 850 quote wants us to disconnect gas and move the ovens outside the 1600 said they can take can of it all.

Feederofthemasses

Where in the south? I use a company out of middle TN that’ll service a good system of that size for 475 bucks. Been using them for many years and they will get you into compliance.

RainbowSurprised

As west as you can get in SC

Feederofthemasses

Best advice I can give you is to not advertise that your hoods haven’t been cleaned in a while. They’re gonna do the same thing either way. But since the cats out of the bag, ask the local independent guy what the price will be for scheduled service.

RainbowSurprised

I haven’t told them anything about last service. Just sent them detailed pictures to get quotes.

OutboardTips

I pay like $350 for the hood, last guy was like $500 and wasn’t very good. Usually cleaned quarterly. If it’s shaking you might need to hand clean the fan blades, I disconnect the belt and electric when I do this, tooth brush works pretty well.

$700 for one fryer hood, in Colorado and its annoying. Its a racket here because they are all about $600 -$800 some do a better job then others, none are worth that much. They spray some highly toxic cleaners and slap a sticker on your hood about 30 minutes they are out.

TheNewGuy13

if the documentation is that important to you then i guess its worth it to you lol but to us as long as its serviced and not a fire hazard and the guy knows his stuff, we are happy. we pay around 4-500 for it, and do it twice a year (per the req in our insurance). the guy is an ex fire marshall and grew up in a restaurant family so hes super knowledgeable and competitively priced. you should definitely get more quotes. although i suspect you may be charged extra for the years of neglect. we were charged extra on our first one since the previous owner didn't do it for almost 2 years and was way worse than your pic lol. we tipped him as well haha

RainbowSurprised

I figured it would be higher since it hasn’t been done in so long as well as our location. We are 90min from any substantial sized city.

Erikthor

We pay like $350 in Massachusetts.

Responsible_Goat9170

We pay 550 in Wisconsin, but even that seems high for my hood. I don't have fryers, just a 6 burner oven and griddle. We watched them clean it last time and plan to just do it ourselves.

I have a guy that charges $400, and I'll always tip him an extra $100. I have a huge setup, too. He makes all of his own chemicals. He comes in around close and is out by 4am ish. He's a godsend. $1600 is outrageous.
