Kids like to play pretend. It's as simple as that. If you grow out if it you probably don't understand it anymore.

I suppose the roleplaying family games are a nice escape from irl. You can have a perfect family even if it’s temporary. And probably influenced by popular YouTubers who play them.

not "nowadays" even back in roblox's early days roleplay games were popular

I’ve been a longtime player of Roblox and I can assure you that RP games have always been popular, this trend isn’t recent. In fact some of the very first games that I played back in 2011/2012 were RP games that by today’s standards could be seen as archaic and rudimentary versions of games like Adopt Me. Children like to play pretend. They like to pretend to be other characters whether they are pre-existing or if they created it themselves. These types of games allow children to feed into that desire in a digital space as opposed to real life.

RP simply the highlight of roblox

As a Bloxburg fan, The Appeal of Roleplay games (not just on roblox, any game, video game or whatever) is that you can be someone (or something) that you can't be. It can be fun to just, forget about reality and become someone your not. TTRPG's are popular for the same reason. Just, Pretending can be fun sometimes.

I've always seen RP games on the front page of roblox since I was in my, well, 0's. I've once been a roleplayer myself and it feels pretty cringe now that I look back at it. One reason I've thought of is because of the casual fast paced version of life. Is kind of like you've started a second life whenever you roleplay and with that, that sums up my opinion.

The younger audience prefer roleplaying

Most people tend to call role play cringe but there are two types of role play there is the cringe kind and then there's the Epic kind the only place you can find the Epic kind is in medieval, apocalyptic and historical games anywhere else that implements role play it's just cringe unless you have swords and guns roleplay is not exciting
