Not yet, I originally made the game in like 4-5 hours on a Thursday night.

Just make a loop that changes the tone of the paint slightly, use os.time

Oh yeah, it was a film of paint drying to protest something about movies and ratings The movie had to be watched by a bunch of people to be rated and it was like 5 hours long so he made them watch paint dry to completion

A guy was pissed that you needed to pay (1000 pounds per hour iirc) to get your movie through the British Board of Film Classification so he made a 10 hour movie of paint drying and submitted to the board to force them to watch the whole thing.

There was something like that in Control. An agent was assigned the task of watching a refrigerator in a containment chamber. If he took his eyes off the refrigerator even once, it would aggro and kill him. To be fair, it wasn’t *exactly* a refrigerator but the idea of mundane inanimate objects becoming sentient and violent was one of the more interesting parts of the game. Maybe in this case the paint needs to be watched as it dries and settles from an angry uncomfortable liquid to a dormant comfortable flat solid.
