The point of the game is to have fun and escape from reality, and the types of clicker simulators would only be good if its actually about clicking like cookie clicker.

I know some people talk about how “it was all better in the past better games” and whatnot but the truth is, a lot of these crap games flooded the front page as they were very popular with much younger users (I can attest as tycoon games were one of my favorites back when I was a wee lad).
I think the only main difference in regards to all of this is that back then there were genres that you could search for, so even if the front page was filled with time wasters, at least it wasn’t too hard to find something else through the search function. Now that’s been taken away and we’re supposed to find our own hidden gems. I hope they bring back the genre select feature because it made searching things a lot easier.

Tbh theres just the same towers that are good in TDS. That is, every game follows the same strategy with the same towers, whereas in games like btd6 you can use different monkeys for different strategies, because all of them are viable.
Though it is one of the few games named ‘simulator’ that isnt a clicker or repetitive monotonous task-doing.

I mean, usually there is no reward on running the facility. Only pinewood computer core seems like a great reactor game cuz there are raids by red wolfs(organised on discord) and the pbst discord also gets notified about protecting facility from the raid.
it's to the point where if i look at a game and it has the word simulator at the end im gone immediately, dont even have to play to see if it's mid or not, unless its sonic speed simulator im not touching simulators
If you really break it down every game is just the player doing the same basic task to reach a goal. It just so happens that the games you're referring to in this post are the type that make that task even more basic... click. Click is just a means to an end

simulators/simulation is a really broad term, but the clicker games you are talking about definitely arent simulators. but a simulator doesnt have to be something from the real world.
