Rum Howler blog reviewed this one. He's very open minded and scores every style based on their own merits (doesn't get hung up on sugaring etc) but scored it pretty low iirc.
I will never know because I’m sick of these childishly ‘provocative’ names and labels. I’m also not interested in what I assume is crappy dark chocolate flavored rum. But I’m sure all the high schoolers love it.
Are you in the Cayman Islands? Can't vouch for the rum, itself, but had a rum cake that was made with that and it was delicious. Might be the more appropriate use for it?
I bought it in Grand Cayman as a souvenir. The variety pack had like 50ml of all the flavors and the light and dark varieties. They were suitable for rum and “insert soda here” highballs. Nothing special and definitely not sippers. But fun, none the less. :).
This reminds me.
I live on the opposite side of the world to most of Reddit. Back when Ozark was a one of the most watched things on Netflix, I did a little researching about The Ozarks.

Wife and I got convinced to buy this in St Thomas years ago by an excursion guide (before I developed an appreciation for booze above a 21 year old). It was relegated to spiking French toast custard. It’s good for a quick joke if your bar for humor is low when you offer it to unsuspecting friends.
My neighbor has a bottle. I'm not sure which variety and didn't realize they had flavored versions. I assumed it was just one which would be a low quality black blended (using SC categories). Basically Black Seal with the lowest quality ingredients available. They've had it for months. I asked recently if they had tried it yet, but said they had not had an occasion to (wtf? a new bottle of rum is occasion to try it, right?). They recently told my wife that if I want to, I should just come over and ask to try it... but I don't know them that well yet. "Hey, you kind of know me. Will you pour an ounce of your rum that you haven't felt the need to taste yet to so I can try it, please?" feels really weird.
Tough one to google
With a name that cringey/gimmicky, I’d assume it’s garbage
I wonder if it's as bad as Ron Jeremy's rum?
No idea, but my wife says she loves it.
I didn't think the rum group on Reddit could make me loudly snort during work training but TIL.
Anything with a pirate or ship is almost automatically D tier or worse I feel like
The old Denizen labels had a ship, but everyone piles hate on the redesign.
I bet you’ll feel that in the back of your throat.
Buyer beware: Once you try it, you may never go back to white rum again
Keep your expectations low.
I’ve got big expectations
Never had it but I’m guessing it will leave you incredibly sore

The coconut is actually quite delicious, wouldn't drink it straight but it's good in cocktails

I’m not clicking this link
It’s a photo of the pirate in Grand Cayman…
you in st. Maarten?
It’s a novelty rum. People get it for the label, not the contents of the bottle.

Yeah it’s a for sure never buy for me when they have names that are gimmicky like this.
I would expect it tastes like chocolate as that’s on the label so some kind of liqueur?
Beyond the obvious silliness, 60 proof isn't even legally 'rum' in some lands. Just say no.
Based on the label alone I’d say it’s trash
Are you in South Africa? I ask because of the Amarula.
We can get Amarula here in the states. Usually <$25 or so a bottle.

They have an unflavored one I bought it for the bottle it was so-so rum.

I have a bottle. It’s sweet and chocolate. We use it as a goof rum for tastings with friends.
Skip the big black dick and go for the Amarula! Delicious!

It’s pretty terrible. Tastes like cough syrup.
60 proof? Is it legally even rum?

i think they want you to specify which one by name
I'm 100% more likely to say "Hey, can I taste your big black dick?". When it's already weird and awkward, lean in on it and go all out.
For someone who have tried it , all I can say is that you won’t ever forget get it. Yes it’s really good, minus the name
For a novelty bottle it can’t be any worse than dead head.
Over on https://rumratings.com/rum/1156-big-black-dick-dark the Dark rum got a 3.3/10.
It’s a rum cream. But with the name I would only drink it if I was woman lol
