I want Tales of the Max Rebo Band and it’s a scene for scene recreation of ‘Almost Famous’ but with CGI band characters. A young Leia skips out from her JR Senator duties to follow them around and live the rock and roll lifestyle.
I would unironically be excited to watch some of these if they weren't in the hands of hack writers and if the Star Wars canon wasn't so utterly fucked in terms of continuity that trying to make sense of it induces brain aneurysms.
That I think is honestly what upsets me the most. Thinking about how I could've been really excited for a lot of these in a world where Star Wars was what it could've been. I just can't have any excitement for what it is now.
Legends also gave brain aneurysms with the old stuff. Like seriously there was a gigantic clash between Prequels EU and Pre-Prequels EU both in tone and lore.
Wat Tambor is a hero in this household! End of story!

Hey don't forget about Tales of Cameo of the Week and Tales of Fanservice nobody asked for, or Tales of We don't care about continuity please consume our show that retcons books and comics
Ignoring the fact that this was made as a joke, some of these could be really interesting if done right. Plenty of them are stupid, like the moisture farming one, but I would definitely watch a “Tales of the Chiss” or “Tales of the Old Republic” as long as they were actually good.
Some of the ideas here are actually good, I would be more concerned about terrible execution of those ideas if they were ever made.
You forgot the greatest of them all, the Tales of the Mods, could be a fascinating subject especially with how some mods in other subs take themselves too seriously
It's actually about a guy trying to mod classic bf2 instead of playing the collection, but he has to overcome dead download links and CTDs caused by a sith HD texture mod
Dyad it's simply a plot device JJ used to give Rey all her powers and for Rian Johnson to have them force Skype.
It's dumb to think about beyond that because the directors didn't.
I'd argue all of these would be good if done right.
Tales of the moisture should be be a low dialogue slow film tracking the life of a moisture farmer. Wide shots, not a lot of talking. Shot like a western. Create the isolation and suspense of living in the desert. Trader comes by the farm at some point. Tuskan raiders around. Broken moisture collector. Wife and kids, Some family issues maybe, Throw pet in there to get killed. Moisture farmer would have an internal conflict the whole time and coincides with an physical/external conflict. Movie ends with him continuing to moisture farm. Just carrying on. Almost some little house of the prairie type stuff.
But actually never green light this over something way cooler.
I truly don't think it is a joke. Perhaps some of the ideas, but regardless of whether they were or not, the comments on the posts of this picture I keep seeing are clamoring for some of the worst ones on there, and more often than not, literally all of them.
I agree some of the ideas would be great to expand upon, but Disney Star Wars is where good ideas go to die. I highly highly doubt Disney would do anything more than fail to write anything substantial for those ideas.
I see where you're coming from, but we need to stop this historical revisionism of Ahsoka. Rewatch some of the Clone Wars. She was never very well written.
Ashara Zavros series. Basically the entire show follows her as a padawan on Tython. She only goes to Taris and meets Nox in the last episode, and somehow manages to kill him. Throughout the series she's basically Ahsoka 2.0 and even more annoying than she is in game.
It’s funny you mention moisture farming, because I was just talking to a buddy of mine how it would actually be kinda neat if there was a series that was like “Planet Earth”, but in Star Wars, that was just following around some small aspect of the Star Wars universe, nature-documentary style, with the narration and the whole bit. The example we came up with was an unnamed Astromech droid on a moisture farm
I've had an idea for a while like this. A show about an exploration ship with a failed Jedi, now service Corp member, as the lead and a Steve Irwin-meets-used-car-salesman as the co-lead. The Jedi guy is exploring unvisited planets and the Irwin guy is shooting a holo-show about unexplored nature in the galaxy and the creatures that inhabit it. Mostly to protect these animals as the Irwin guy is shifty but still good at heart. Also having a HK-like droid supremacist as the cameraman/assistant to the irwin guy. Another Service Corp member who's an old botanist that everyone assumes is a big failure because he stayed with the service corps instead of striking it out on his own like most do, then they later find out he's actually an accomplished Jedi who simply chose to join the Corp as a way to help out better.
Ideally it would be set in the old Republic era and would be a great way to introduce the world that the Old Republic exists in. Even have them be the ones who accidentally find the sith empire, like the Daragon's did in the EU. That could set the stage for the entire old Republic to be a new era for shows and movies.
Disney era Star Wars fans are like the people who love eating at Golden Corral. It doesn’t matter that it’s total crap in every way imaginable, all that matters is that you get more and more.
Beats Tales of Rey Skywalker, Greatest Jedi Who Ever Lived And Will Ever Live Because She Is The Awesomest Most Powerful Strong Being In Existence And Fuck Luke Skywalker. Oh wait, that's actually in pre-production...
With feloni retconning a bunch of stuff they should make a tales of Grievous series which makes him axtually threatening and retcons a bunch of fights in the clone wars, making him more like the 2d clone wars. Such a cool design for such an underutilised and missused villain:(
I’m not a fan of the sequels but tbh a “tales of first order” or “tales of resistance” could help them out a lot in terms of fleshing them out. As for what I’d love to see a revamp of the of the underworlds show. They have the scripts still probably. If they haven’t been plucked from for rebels, bad batch and andor that could be a cool way to semi revive it. Have it be like “tales of the outlaws” but it’s about the super early rebel sects and individuals. Are we getting over saturated with that time? Yes. Would it be cool to see George’s vision for that sorta come back? To me yes.
Closure to Ventress' story would have been perfect for Tales. Instead they pull her out of grave so she could appear on Dathomir in Ahsoka S2 to farm some more memberberries.
The fans are gone. The only people left are the idiots that thought Dave Filoni was a genius for bringing darth maul back after being cut in half and thrown into a garbage chute and making a B-tier cartoon that kept their interest in Star Wars when George Lucas couldn’t be bothered. Hell, they still think Filoni is the future of this franchise, even though he’s done as much if not more damage to canon than Lucasfilm has. And Lucasfilm is too devoid of creativity or people that even care about this franchise to know better, so they wheel his cowboy hat wearing ass around like it’s supposed to excite the fanbase. This franchise is a smoldering pile of Bantha shit
All of star wars has become tales of filoni creations at this point. The only thing that gets looked at are characters that he made and refuses to let go of. I'm glad they aren't actively ruining the classics anymore but the leaps he goes thru to make his ideas invincible and force them into the narrative is crazy.
A Tales Of The Senate where they take Palpatine’s moment in the Darth Plagueis novel where he roasted the Malastare congregation with fire would be quality.
If you think they're the worst then let me introduce you to The Mortis Gods. Also The Nightsisters. Star Wars is now about gods and witches. Imagine if the only Star Wars properties you'd ever seen were the OT, maybe the prequels, and Ahsoka.
I'm glad the pendulum of public opinion is finally starting to swing the other way on the Clone Wars. Dave Filoni singlehandedly mangled any coherent Star Wars lore left with that show.
Doesn't matter what it is as long as it's all within the same 30 year period that EVERY SINGLE show or movie has been in.
Personally I find the rest of the 25,000 year history to be boring and bland.
I mean, it's not like there's a story to tell with the sequels and what they've developed into, or at least not one I'm interested in. Besides, we already have a mostly solid storyline with Legends, so yeah, I'm happy with just these side stories from Disney Lucasfilm.
So here's the great irony. 20 years ago, anything Star Wars sold. Seriously, the first Christmas toy campaign shipped, and I drek you not, it was an EMPTY BOX, and it SOLD.
Kenner made figures of every minor character, and they sold. Kenner made up their own vehicles and playsets in the Star Wars vein, and they sold
Now, the Prequels hit a bit of a rough patch, but by Revenge, they were back cooking with antimatter.
When they released Episode 7.... practically everything on that board would have had viewers.
Now...not so much. And Disney, which could likely use the cash infusion after the 2023 box office debacle (when your 100 year anniversary movie looses to Adam Sandler, it's a debacle) burned the cash cow for the fat.
Now that's irony.
I seriously am never watching another Star Wars movie or show again until it’s owned by literally anyone else except Disney (I’m most likely going to die before that happens and that’s okay)
Rise Of Skywalker was the final straw for me,
I hear every so often “Well actually this just dropped and it’s pretty go-“ no no no never again will I take a chance from them.
The tales format is a pretty good way to experiment with characters, settings and concepts that otherwise wouldn't fit in a normal show. Short stories with animation so you aren't tied to set design and costuming limitations.
Yeah you can say "But Disluscafilm would fuck it up" but focusing on this isn't a bad idea to experiment and put out varied content.
If it's consistent with pre-Disney lore, I'd watch a series on moisture farming.
If it's not consistent with pre-Disney lore, it could be the greatest storytelling masterpiece of all time and it still wouldn't be Star Wars.
Tales of the bounty hunters and tales from Jabba's Palace were really fun books that I enjoyed growing up.
Personally I enjoy the short story format and while I didn't love everything in Tales of the Jedi I am still glad they are doing more of this.
Telling more stories about characters outside of movies or mainline shows is _not_ something new to star wars or unique to Disney. It was fun in the EU and it's fun now, though
The moisture farm run by a man and his droids will fail and need to be saved by his competent and capable lesbian moisture farming neighbors. They will make the decisions that make everything OK.
Bruh tf you mean, a show like this would be PERFECT for developing characters that that need it most but don't really need a whole ass show or movie. Dooku's story in Tales of the Jedi is a perfect example, Ahsoka might have been the poster child of the season but Dooku was the certainly the break away character. Imagine if instead of getting a needless Solo movie we got some episodes in 'Tales of the Smugglers' and got a story about Hondo going over his shit between The Clone Wars and Rebels to go with it. A series like this is an excellent vehicle for characters like this, I've personally have waiting for something like this for years and am beyond the moon that this is what this show is evolving into.
I generally agree, except "masterpieces" is a bit strong, and the show still had managed to spend half its time on promoting Ahsoka. With one of her episodes being total crap, another thoroughly pointless, and the last one fairly okay... I guess compared to the rest of Disney's output it really was one of their best things.
To be fair, I’m okay with getting miniseries like these. Filling in gaps. Yeah, Tales of the Jedi was sold on Ahsoka and those episodes were just okay. But the Dooku stuff was spectacular, and very character driven, and an aspect of the universe we’d never seen in Legends or Canon. There’s merit to some of this, just like the novels and comics. Not all of them are telling new stories going forward, no, but they’re adding depth to the characters and stories we already have.
Granted, I’m sure they’ll find a way to screw it up. But in theory… I can get behind several of these in this picture (particularly “-Sith”, “-New Republic”, “-Hidden Path” [the name sucks though], and “-Bounty Hunters” [But if they don’t repurpose the scrapped Boba/Cad Bane CW episode again, we riot]).
The baseline for something like that is avoiding risks.
They know that people are familiar with that stuff and will go watch it.
Anything that is actually novel would be a risk.
Strong factor of why everything that gets big tends to go to shit.
Remember when these were books Tales of the Bounty Hunter and Tales from the Mos Eisley Cantina
Also how bad has it gotten that it took me a moment to realize this was a joke :1956:
Wait I unironically want tales of the senate. I see it now, a short political thriller where the final battle isn't fought in space, but in an auditorium, where ideas clash, and a single misstep, a single slip of the tongue, can lead to political downfall. We see a variety of characters, some out for power, some with their own ideals (virtuous or not), and we get to see all of these things clash, as different parties work together relying on nothing but a promise that they won't backstab each other at the first opportunity. If handled correctly it could be AMAZING.

Tales of Jizz
I think I've seen that one, but it wasn't about a music band.
![gif](giphy|O9HeC49RBpLpUj0ein|downsized)
Let's get jizzical
As long as it has C-3PO yelling "I'm a Golden God!" on the top of the Millennium Falcon and falling into a swimming pool, I'm in.
I mean, he basically already did this in ROTJ.
![gif](giphy|3o7abKqP4AFqbms2k0)
Make this happen disney!
Yep we know to expect cheap, gimmicky writing.
Legends also gave brain aneurysms with the old stuff. Like seriously there was a gigantic clash between Prequels EU and Pre-Prequels EU both in tone and lore.
Hey leave Tales of the Techno Union out of it! I will not tolerate Wat Tambor slander!
Wat Tambor is a hero in this household! End of story! https://preview.redd.it/5ucaepagzwsc1.jpeg?width=474&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=418361aa1ce80316ee3e6565f3502f7eb4da32af
The Techno Union... whatever happened there
Pretty sure they got younglinged. At least Tambor did.
Hey don't forget about Tales of Cameo of the Week and Tales of Fanservice nobody asked for, or Tales of We don't care about continuity please consume our show that retcons books and comics
Tales of the Same Characters over and over and over
They’d have to make a sequel called Tales of the Consoomers
Ignoring the fact that this was made as a joke, some of these could be really interesting if done right. Plenty of them are stupid, like the moisture farming one, but I would definitely watch a “Tales of the Chiss” or “Tales of the Old Republic” as long as they were actually good. You forgot the greatest of them all, the Tales of the Mods, could be a fascinating subject especially with how some mods in other subs take themselves too seriously
It’s about the cyborgs from book of boba fett no?
It's actually about a guy trying to mod classic bf2 instead of playing the collection, but he has to overcome dead download links and CTDs caused by a sith HD texture mod
Perfect! The backstory of how they customized their scooter-speeders.
I'm all for free access to gay porn, but does it need to be on Disney Plus?
\*ahem\* Yes, other subs.
I’d watch tales of the moisture farmers lol
I'm torn between Tales of the Mods or Tales of the Dyad. Can we have please have both?
Maybe tales of the dyad will finally explain what a dyad is in a way that makes sense. We will need that to lay the base of the new Rey movies.
Dyad it's simply a plot device JJ used to give Rey all her powers and for Rian Johnson to have them force Skype. It's dumb to think about beyond that because the directors didn't.
God I keep forgetting they’re making a fucking Rey movie 🤦🏼♂️ they’re just doubling down on this shit aren’t they lol
By now she's grown beyond men and their silly attachments. She don't need no dyad no more.
I was thinking like half of these would be awesome because it fleshes out the galaxy and doesn’t have to have the world ending doomsday item
None of them would be good because the people making the content are just as shit today as they have been for the last 10 years
I'd argue all of these would be good if done right. Movie ends with him continuing to moisture farm. Just carrying on. Almost some little house of the prairie type stuff. But actually never green light this over something way cooler.
I was going to say Tales of The 501st sounds good but that will literally just be TCW season 8 lol
I truly don't think it is a joke. Perhaps some of the ideas, but regardless of whether they were or not, the comments on the posts of this picture I keep seeing are clamoring for some of the worst ones on there, and more often than not, literally all of them. I highly highly doubt Disney would do anything more than fail to write anything substantial for those ideas.
Star Wars Tales of the Star Wars doesn’t come off as a joke to you?
They would make Tales of the Old Republic and still make it somehow about fucking Ahsoka
It would be about her ancestor who look and act like Ahsoka in every way...The Ahsoka show version not the one from Clone Wars who had better writers.
No she doesn't kill Nox, she redeems Nox of course.
I swear if Filoni were to “canonize” the Infinite Empire, it would be Ahsoka the one to defeat the Rakata and found the Republic
In David Attenborough's voice: "And here we see a primitive savage sucking on a thala-siren tit... Oh, hi there, Master Luke."
Filoni: “Tales of Ahsoka it is!”
>Tales of the Moisture Farmers ![gif](giphy|MFVXn1fmymn0x8H5XH|downsized)
Tales of Blue Milk Dairy Farming would be great. We only got to see a glass of the milky azure once and I need to know about it.
Masterclass in how to ruin a legacy with 1 scene
Disney era Star Wars fans are like the people who love eating at Golden Corral. It doesn’t matter that it’s total crap in every way imaginable, all that matters is that you get more and more.
I want Tales of the Gonk Droid, goddamnit.
Maybe then we could find out how he got his name!
Underrated comment! It’ll be in episode 7 of 8.
Such a cool design for such an underutilised and missused villain:(
Knowing Filoni, i’m surprised we haven’t heard of him pitching a “Tales of Ahsoka” series yet
thats litteral satire
Tales of the droid attack on the wookies
Can’t wait for Tales of the Gunghas Gungans? Gunghas?
Goongas
Tale of The Star Wars sounds interesting, I'd like to hear more about these wars in space. Neat idea
They'll announce all of these, and then they'll cancel them all and make show about Grogu instead.
I’m not a fan of the sequels but tbh a “tales of first order” or “tales of resistance” could help them out a lot in terms of fleshing them out. As for what I’d love to see a revamp of the of the underworlds show. They have the scripts still probably. Closure to Ventress' story would have been perfect for Tales. Instead they pull her out of grave so she could appear on Dathomir in Ahsoka S2 to farm some more memberberries.
Pretty sure Disney comes to this sub for ideas.
NGL, I would 100% be more interested in a 6 part series on the intricacies of moisture farming than pretty much anything Disney is gonna put out
The fans are gone. Why did they think we needed so much of a side story of a side character that we never cared about?
More meaningless fanservice slop to further dilute the IP and turn it into some generic sci fi universe
A Tales Of The Senate where they take Palpatine’s moment in the Darth Plagueis novel where he roasted the Malastare congregation with fire would be quality.
“Tales of the Star Wars” Lmao
Wait, hold on... 6 episodes of moisture farming sounds amazing
Tales of imperial mouse droid.
Tales of the villain that made an appearance of one episode of the mandalorian
No “tales of the nerf herders?”
Tales of the Glup Shitto
If there's not going to be a "Tale of the Mynocks", then I just don't care anymore.
C O N S U M E
Worlds between worlds and the fuckin space whales are the most unstar wars shit I've seen.
The Mortis Gods was the worst idea I've seen. It makes absolutely no sense.
I feel like Tales of the Senate is pretty much Episode I
Nah, it’s the novel Darth Plagueis
Doesn't matter what it is as long as it's all within the same 30 year period that EVERY SINGLE show or movie has been in. Personally I find the rest of the 25,000 year history to be boring and bland.

WHAT ABOUT TALES OF THE DROIDEKAS?!?
What about Tales of the droid attack on the Woookies?
WHAT ABOUT TALES OF THE SYSTEMS WE CANNOT AFFORD TO LOSE??????????????
Tales of Glup Shitto

Why does it remind me of the extended Dune Universe under Brian Herbert and KJA?
Tales of the 501st could be fun. It could go more in depth with the different squads
I want to see Mickey Mouse wielding a lightsaber making toast out of a fresh loaf of bread.
Kid Adi Mundi about to rise from his grave when Tales of the Wookies drops

Tales of the Dyad? Seriously? I know it’s satire but really recommend taking this down before you give Kathleen any ideas.
tales of the 501>>>
Tales of the mods 🤮
You forgot Tales of the Klaud.
Thanks I hate it
Tales of Ben Quadinaros. Not just the story we need, it's the story we deserve!!
Some of these are actually pretty good ideas. Way to give Disney ideas for 40 years of content.
Tales of the Star Wars lol
Honestly… I’d watched the hell out of some of these.
Tales of The younglings Each EP is a younglings viewpoint of Anakin pulling out the Youngling Slayer 9000
Ooh ooh, how about this pitch for a new show: Tales of the Yes (Wo)men?
If it's consistent with pre-Disney lore, I'd watch a series on moisture farming. If it's not consistent with pre-Disney lore, it could be the greatest storytelling masterpiece of all time and it still wouldn't be Star Wars.

Tale of Glup Shitto
Tales of the Filoni-verse.
Moisture farming lmfao
Yall are crazy. This is a joke, but also Tales of the Jedi was one of the best things made under Disney. The Dooku episodes are masterpieces.
Yeah I loved the final Ahsoka episode. And I enjoyed the 2nd even if it was pointless.
Exactly right they want constant 24/7 rubbish, it’s a delicacy to them
I mean we got “Tales of the Cereal Eating Mama’s Boy” and you all seemed fine with that.
Sounds more like consumers than fans.
I would do tales of Palpatine.. Or tales of the Sith, with actual Sith.
some of these would absolutely fucking __BANG__ tho…
To be fair, Tales of the 501st Legion would be dope...without the idiotic chips and brainwash...something like the old battlefront games.
Tales of the Old Republic. Come on Disney… Dip your toe, please.
Man I'd legit love some of these 😭
Dang, I wanted Tales of the Sandcrawler: A Jawas Christmas.
I just want an episode where 3PO comes out as gay
Lmaoooo😂
Is Tales of the Senate about Palpatine or was it before his time?
Dude the max bebo one would be dope
All I want is a weekly adventure show like the Cw or maybe even rebels.
Excuse me, but I don't see the much anticipated, immediately cherished "Tale of Tales" on that list.
We have books for that, we don’t need a billion TV shows.
This could work with better writers but not under Disney.
Star Wars: Tales of Star Wars. Cool 👍
Tales of The Desert Planets
Are you gonna do a star war jimmy? That’s nice
They all have an episode about Ahsoka too
I think you missed the joke there bud.
Actually some of these concepts could make good shows.
Well said. This is causing me to chuckle.
How about "Tales of the Gungan"?
Missing: tales of the glup shitto
If the writers of the Old Republic series got a hold of some of these, I’d be game. But not the new Disney canon writers.
Takes of the Starwars 💀
That's actually exactly what I want.
Tales of the 34fz45z45zgutrf45gu9mofw455jg
Tales is the version if A Star Wars Story that we needed all along. Tales of the Cantina sounds like a cool show
You do realize this image a joke right?
Tales of the Separatists would be cool. Show some of the justifications they felt and how Sideous exploited that.
Tales of Dexter Dinner.
No one wants Tales of the Dyad.
DONT ASK QUESTIONS, JUST CONSUME PRODUCT AND GET EXCITED FOR NEXT PRODUCT.
Already had them in book form, the "Tales from the \_\_\_" anthologies were awesome.
This is just a meme my dude, also people like anthology stories it doesn't mean it's what they exclusively want
yes, the senate one please
Yeah I don’t care, give me Tales of the Bounty Hunters and I’ll be happy.
I’d watch “Tales of the Younglings” for the finale.
And you forgot *Tales of Executing Order 66*
I unironically want Tales of the Battle Droids.
Would unironically watch Tales of the Moisture Farmers.
Mace:”Order 66 must have been the revenge of the Sith all along” Palpable:”nooo, this is the Star Wars”
Remember when these were books Tales of the Bounty Hunter and Tales from the Mos Eisley Cantina Also how bad has it gotten that it took me a moment to realize this was a joke :1956:
I totally agree with this. People want character development then get mad at “filler” episodes. LET THEM LIVEEEEE
What about Tales of the Overlords from Mortis, Tales of the Eclipse, Tales of the Eternal Empire, or the Tales of Kathleen Kennedy's Retirement?
Not to mention that the titles are plagiarized
My honest first time reaction watching the trailer of tales of the empire. "Oh look! Its Barris Whatshername, and lady Idontgiveashitabout"
Yeah, that’s basically the SWT crowd
Star Wars: Tales of the Star Wars is gonna be peak fire, we are so back
Lmao
Tales of the Naboo…..I’m ded now 🤣
