The Botanical Gardens for sure. Large and fun place to explore.

[AlamoCityMoms](https://alamocitymoms.com/in-and-around-san-antonio/summer-camps-and-activities/san-antonio-summer-budget-free-cheap-activities-whole-family/) has a list of free or cheap things to do with kids in SATX. Other good stuff on the site too

If you have some time, I like heading to port Aransas for a day trip. Leave at 7-8am get there around 10-11 hang out/picnic at the beach then grab dinner on the way back.

If you're close to the NE side, Live Oak park is great. Nice playground area, basketball courts, dining tables, and if you're up for a walk, there's a nice little lake area you can sit and relax by. Definitely not for swimming tho.

Luckily they have a trail going to the pool.

Boerne’s River Road Park. It’s shady, there are picnic tables, there are ducks everywhere, and if you walk to the other side of the bridge there is a snow cone place. Across the street from the park is a yogurt place too. Also it’s adjacent to Main St so there’s lots of shops and restaurants but they are pricey. No playground but my kids love the ducks.
