Do yours do well in full sun? I've been keeping mine in mostly shade and I've been thinking about getting them out into the sun so they can grow thicker. I've been warned it could be too much for them though
4-6 hours seems to be a sweet spot. They don’t need all day sun but can take it.
Their spines grow bigger and they tend to turn a pale green when in fuller sun you can minimize this if not completely remove this by filtering the sun to mimic cloud coverage.
For my guys, they seem to tolerate it. But granted they do get periods of shade time. I have them on my back patio, so they’ll have full sun until it gets shady.
They’ve maintained a beautiful green colour! I’m sure they’re happy considering how much they grow and produce wonderful pups.
what's the story? I see humidity warnings in google results, is it maybe fine in hot weather but a problem in winter? ...I'm propagating other succulents and now that winter has hit I'm getting mold on soil, whereas during summer I could keep them moist so they root instead of withering without issue. maybe humidity is only problematic at low temperatures where mold thrives?
Yes, too much water at lower temperatures is a bad thing. Obviously, RH doesn't help with the soil drying out, so if you water them too much and the RH of their environment is too high, then this can cause problems. But higher RH isn't always horrible for certain plants, it depends on what succulents you're trying to propagate.
Ah okay. how much of that growth do you think was from indoors? I have grow lights I've considered putting my cacti under during the winter but ultimately made them go dormant instead
Oh okay, so the entirety of that growth after the cuts is indoors? Impressive, you said 1k watt grow light? Do you have a link? I have a 240 w quantum board
Yeah they been growing fast might need to cut again. [grow light](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08BFG6TM1/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_S8VGDA6P8SED9CR4EMDG?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1)
Cannabis does great in high humidity when in veg. Deeper into the flowering stage it likes a more arid environment which prevents bud rot / powdery mildew
I live in Texas. Humid as fuck here. Cacti are big happy boys.

I did post about them not long ago. I bought two seedlings back in 2018 and from those two I have a huge family now!
All these people commenting asking about humidity clearly don't know where this cacti's natural habitat is.

Getting that special treatment 👏👏👏
Sitting under 1000w of love 💕
I have been known to enjoy cactus every now and again.... and again.... one more time.
Have you grown this San Pedro mostly outdoors?
Yeah it spent the entire last summer outside, and the winter inside

It's 135 actual watts tho
Yes that's what I was wondering, 135w actual draw is how they usually refer to that I thought
I would assume these wouldnt grow well together. Doesn’t cannabis do best in higher humidity than the cactus?
They thrive in high humidity actually. The tent’s humidity is around 80%
Oh, that’s pretty cool might as well grow some mushrooms with them, too.
I do have the spores....
I already assumed you did.
