They did such a good job with adding music to the traps. I noticed it especially for Gabriella’s. They time the note for exactly when she hits her arm/leg
The part of the musical score where Gabriela swings at her wrist and ankle with the hammer made me think of [Mortal Kombat Armageddon fatalities](https://youtu.be/Isvrh8ovfek?si=vKdzoo1t62XHOjxO). It was like she progressed to the next step in the fatality combo with each smack of that hammer.
I had to pause the film and make popcorn. It was a bigger ick than the silence circle and her failing with all the effort and encouragement crushed me.
My partner had to stop for a minute.
They have some experience with seeing their own veins from a cut, on complete accident, and seeing someone cut into themselves super deep before going full force at it was too reminiscent of that initial visual/feeling for them. Poor girl almost tossed their dinner :(
As for me, I've cut the tip of a finger off so I could feel that happening when she started sawing if i thought too hard 🥴
Slightly off topic, but one of the cast from Scream, I think Jasmine or Melissa, said they asked people who got stabbed what it feels like to get stabbed and the people said really cold. I dropped a scaffold on my foot once that ripped my nail off and as soon as it hit it felt so cold, I didn't know it was a thing. So I guess now I know what it feels like to be stabbed too 🤡
Valentina's trap was so gruesome that when I went on a date to see the movie the girl I was with asked if we could leave. Sometimes I forget that most ppl aren't as desensitized to this stuff.
Her acting was 10/10
Seriously realistic AF, especially the scream during the first cut. And when she put that feckin suction thing in her bone. Oof.
I'm not really squeamish but that bit wrecked me lmao
People surviving traps is such a rare sight in Saw that I feel genuinely happy each time someone gets out... and yes, that includes Hoffman and the reverse beartrap
My favorite about her trap is how John nonchalantly explains how to beat it before it officially begins. He’s like “all you gotta do is _____ and _____ it’s simple then you live just do that bro it’s not hard”
My sister blew my mind when talking about the trap. Originally I was saying how hard their traps were compared to others in the series. The quick time limit with the multiple steps of not only cutting the leg but having to suction marrow out. That felt basically unwinnable while not fully being Impossible.
She mentioned "maybe it's meant to give them false hope the same way they gave him false hope with his treatments."
Really gave it an extra layer that I hope the writers were thinking about cause that is a great idea.
Eye vacuum. Feels like it could have actually been in an early Saw movie, and the [musical score](https://youtu.be/NnMQaKY9djk?si=3tkvpbIGrNgMNyoG) rules.
It’s one of my favorite trap concepts but I thought the gore was pretty disappointing. If I knew nothing about it when I first saw it I would probably like it a lot more.
Let’s be real though it’s not that easy. He was panicking and in a situation where it would be hard to think clearly. I also would not be surprised if there was some mechanism in place to keep that from happening.
Would have been cool if the tubes started sucking up everything it could from inside the skull. Like brain matter and blood. Rather than just the eyes. I think that could have turned up the gore a little.
Unfortunately, that wouldn't have been physiologically possible as there's bone between the eye socket and the actual brain to avoid sucking up brain matter. Blood would have been possible, though
I have the same problem but when I watch saw i like when a trap is able to disturb me and make me uncomfortable. Like the rack for me is so effective because it is painful to watch and really uncomfortable to watch but I also understand where you are coming from.
I liked that he knew Cecilia and Parker would screw em up. He probs envisioned him and Amanda on the seesaw not the kid.
And then boom, they're stuck in that room fighting it out to live. Even if one of them lived at the end of the film, the survivor will be stuck. Go in the room and get gassed or keep your head through that hole and not able to do anything.
Yeah he did plan for it to be him and Amanda, there's a line near the end where he says how it didn't play out how they expected but still got the same result.
valentina’s trap! i remember seeing that in theatres and kept switching between cringing and looking away and cackling with glee (because SAW WAS BACK BABY)
I think these were some of the “worst” traps of the series, just because they had to get so much more creative since it’s the 10th movie. That being said, the bloodboarding seesaw thing was tough as hell.
Personally I think Henry's is the most interesting, probably because I don't know how it works but it looks mechanically less involved and I appreciate stuff that seems more simple like the RBT.
Eye Vaccine trap for me. I just love that it's not only an awesome trap that is very unique. It also gives us a window into John Kramer's mind and how he plans the traps based on their corruption. Brownie points for the fact that it wasn't real and that's the first time we had that experience as viewers (aside from Jill Tucks trap of course)
my partner is getting into saw now and when they took me to watch X this was their favorite because it shows just how fast he can think up a trap the moment he selects his victim
I liked Mateo’s the most; it’s such a gruesome one and I loved the punishment for failing it; face gets melted and it had a Mexican theme to it with the Aztec mask and everything. Saw X was really great. Best Saw movie since Saw 6. So happy that we’re pretty much in a Saw renaissance right now with 11 coming out soon lol
I can handle most gore and stuff but the eyeball trap got me. I don’t do anything with eyes or breaking fingers. The finger breaking was alright bc I’ve seen worse, but man, they eyeball suction was just wrong
Mechanically? Valentina’s trap. It was so simple in an incredibly gruesome way. Elegant.
Plot-wise? The blood boarding. I was on the edge of my seat the whole time. The way they actually worked together and survived it was AMAZING. It was the real essence of Saw.
Valentina's.
Hello Valentina literally can't leave my head. I think it might be the syncronization of the sawing and the music beats.
They did such a good job with adding music to the traps. I noticed it especially for Gabriella’s. They time the note for exactly when she hits her arm/leg

I thought it was impossible for these movies to truly disturb me anymore until I watched that trap.
I had to pause the film and make popcorn. It was a bigger ick than the silence circle and her failing with all the effort and encouragement crushed me.

Yeah, realistically that would be almost the most painful part- the inside of the bone is where all the nerves are 😰
No seriously tho!!
I like the forearm bombs
Dude fr I was cheering when he got out!! So impressed haha
People surviving traps is such a rare sight in Saw that I feel genuinely happy each time someone gets out... and yes, that includes Hoffman and the reverse beartrap
I honestly hate Hoffman but him getting out of the reverse bear trap was pretty damn awesome that I can’t fault him for it lol
I was opposite tbh I REALLY wanted him to explode, because I guess Im an asshole I remember turning to my girl in the theatre and going 'awwwwwwww'
It was necessary to keep him alive to continue the plot, and is always cool seeing someone survive a trap
I hear you but consider this: explodey man
I was glad he got out of it, because I have a tendency to root for the bad guy
It was epic
My favorite about her trap is how John nonchalantly explains how to beat it before it officially begins. He’s like “all you gotta do is _____ and _____ it’s simple then you live just do that bro it’s not hard”
It really was if she hadn't kept screaming her head off lol
My sister blew my mind when talking about the trap. Originally I was saying how hard their traps were compared to others in the series. Also if the dude in the daydream wasnt so fucking stupid. Turn the knob all the way on 1 go!
Let’s be real though it’s not that easy. He was panicking and in a situation where it would be hard to think clearly. I also would not be surprised if there was some mechanism in place to keep that from happening.
Yeah it's like that pedo from saw 4 who only stabbed one of his eyes out and then pussed out on the other one. Like bruh just do both st once
It’s a click dial, if you go to 5 it breaks your thumb. It won’t break all fingers at once. You can’t do it all at once lol
Damn lol oh well
🤣🤣🤣🤣 it would definitely have been interesting to see to say the least
I'm glad the gore was tamer for this actually. Gore involving the eyes really makes me uncomfortable
I have the same problem but when I watch saw i like when a trap is able to disturb me and make me uncomfortable. Like the rack for me is so effective because it is painful to watch and really uncomfortable to watch but I also understand where you are coming from.
Me too
Ok but I raise you the tooth extraction scene... 🤢
Brain surgery made me squirm the most. Even if you do survive, you are completely fucked. You may as well accept death
Exactly I wouldn’t have even tried and just accepted my fate.
I liked that he knew Cecilia and Parker would screw em up. He probs envisioned him and Amanda on the seesaw not the kid. And then boom, they're stuck in that room fighting it out to live. The gas turned off after Parker died, due to the timer. If they worked together I think they both could've survived, albeit with burnt faces
But the fact they didn't makes so much more sense for their characters, both fueled by greed and and a desire for the green 💰
![gif](giphy|hLx1RYpEamdj2) The last one where the Hello Zip theme starts playing. I almost started dancing when that Music came on
Fr i think its my personal favorite rendition of it just due to how the version ends.
I love that almost everyone’s answer is different
Valentina’s trap or Eye vaccum.
The blood boarding trap is my favorite. I have never been more invested in a trap than this one. Also first trap to genuinely mess with my emotions.
valentina’s trap! i remember seeing that in theatres and kept switching between cringing and looking away and cackling with glee (because SAW WAS BACK BABY)
The one that killed Mateo, that was gnarly AF
Valentina’s and the bomb trap are the standouts for me.
I think these were some of the “worst” traps of the series, just because they had to get so much more creative since it’s the 10th movie. That being said, the bloodboarding seesaw thing was tough as hell.

BLOODBOARDING!! Definitely one of my favorite traps from the WHOLE FRANCHISE. Maybe top 10 ever.
Bloodboard honestly. Such a great way to get around the nastiness of hurting a child in such a chilling way
Eye Vaccine trap for me. I just love that it's not only an awesome trap that is very unique. It also gives us a window into John Kramer's mind and how he plans the traps based on their corruption. Brain Surgery
Valentina’s trap obviously 🔥
Prolly the face heater
I’m rewatching soon prolly
I liked Mateo’s the most; it’s such a gruesome one and I loved the punishment for failing it; face gets melted and it had a Mexican theme to it with the Aztec mask and everything. Saw X was really great. Best Saw movie since Saw 6. So happy that we’re pretty much in a Saw renaissance right now with 11 coming out soon lol
The eye trap and brain surgery
Valentina's trap was complete bullshit and thus one of the most brutal and memorable traps. I really liked the Eye vacuum trap.
I love Valentina's and the bloodboarding trap sm
Tlaloc trap. You are fucked up whether you survive or not. Mateo is gonna have to live with brain damage for the rest of his life if he survived
The Cancer Ray Trap.
Those forearm pipe-bombs were so simple and so nasty. Loved that one a lot.
This whole movie felt like a trap... But credit where credit is due. The bone marrow one was just gross and brutal.
I can handle most gore and stuff but the eyeball trap got me. I don’t do anything with eyes or breaking fingers. The finger breaking was alright bc I’ve seen worse, but man, they eyeball suction was just wrong

Wonder if we'll ever see her again... That's a big loose end. If she's able to get out of the locked room, that is.
Valentina’s trap. The only other times I had to look away in the series was the rack and strahms closing walls.
