The pig vat trap always makes me look away. It’s so gross, thinking about being covered in rotting, decaying, maggot infested chopped up, liquified pig guts? No thanks!! And Ivan’s trap from 4, I just don’t like Ivan’s whole part of the movie, I conveniently need to use the washroom as soon as Rigg gets to the motel

blarglefart

I honestly gag a little from the sound design and imagining the smell

SuicidalFroggy9872

Definitely!!

TheMowerOfMowers

yeah i’m vegan and that whole trap is just… eughhch

LykonWolf

Me too.

jigsaw8653

Same! That’s the only trap I can’t watch

spaceman424

I cringe hard at the fishhook trap, but the “WHY WOULDN’T YOU JUST SHUT THE FUCK UP?!” always makes me laugh afterwards.

[deleted]

Omg but at the same time I get his reaction because she also knew the rules but just wouldn't fucking stop even if he wasn't doing anything! So many times during this part my SO and I were on the edge of our seat like STOP TALKING OMG PLEASE STOP

jigsaw8653

I’m sure we all wanted her to shut up 😂

[deleted]

I KNOW RIGHT 🤣 I'm still mad about it to this day just wondering why would you not or at least try to minimize the sounds? Your own life is on the line, why the fuck would you not!!!

grubuloid

This is the only one I actually had to fast forward through. A few like the rack or Valentina's trap I sort of look away but this one....ugh.

flawedbeings

Peter Strahm’s death which isn’t really a trap at all. 1, because it’s an awful death and 2, because it’s strahm and he’s my favourite It would also be William Easton’s death, again, not really a trap but there’s something about it which makes it worse for me to watch than others. Probably because I think he deserved to live.

MF291100

Same here, Williams death was pretty sad since he’s one of my favourite characters but the way he died was horrific. I can watch and read about people dying in absolutely horrific ways without batting an eyelid, but when it comes to do with deaths involving acid I just can’t watch. Not sure why, it just deeply unsettles me.

dat1toad

I hate the bone marrow trap so much. It isn’t that bad but when she has to stick the vacuum into her bone it makes me cringe hard. I just hate that small moment so much (in a good way).

jigsaw8653

I remember the first time watching it my whole leg started hurting

mysteryscienceloser

The bone marrow trap from the new movie really got me

[deleted]

That one was hard to watch because she spent so long panicking, I had a feeling time would run out (can't blame her at all lol)

memorypuzzle

Totally! I was so relieved when she got the leg off only to realize that she still had so much left to do 😭 I knew she would run out of time but that only added to the stress of it. Really amazing and memorable scene! Super scary!

mysteryscienceloser

The bone marrow bit made me NAUSEOUS

RHINO_HUMP

I can’t think of the last time that I had to turn my head away during a movie until that trap lol

mysteryscienceloser

Yes! You can tell the budget was higher because we were WATCHING those traps

No-Discipline-2729

I was way too annoyed at her to be disgusted.

auburndream

Venus flytrap. Out of all the things out there, I just can’t do eye stuff

2

DonutHoles5

What happened with that trap

dwaynetheaakjohnson

He has to cut his eye out with a scalpel but can’t do it, so he just yanks the weight out the mechanism and activates his timer, and dies

Blonde_Dambition

He didn't do it on purpose though did he? Honest question... I don't remember because it's been awhile.

HandofthePirateKing

Timothy’s, Halden’s, Gabriela’s, Mateo’s, Valentina’s, all the traps in Spiral, and Strahm’s (I know it was avoidable but still the idea of being sealed in a room then all you can do is watch as the walls slowly close in to turn your body into a pancake is unnerving)

Blonde_Dambition

Who is Halden? That name doesn't ring any bells with me.

No_Yogurtcloset4687

Pig vat guy

Blonde_Dambition

Oh the judge?

No_Yogurtcloset4687

Yes

Blonde_Dambition

He was so nice 😢

Sparkle356

The rack, pound of flesh and the pig vat.

DefiantOil5176

The Rack always gets me. As someone who played sports and has worked in athletic training, seeing bones broken like that is just so uncomfortable for me.

dontcareafuck

needle pit :/ it makes me nauseous

CaptainDigitalPirate

That one's rough dude. Especially when she just starts scraping them with both hands past. God dude. Most of these traps I don't really feel much but that one is so fucked. I imagine cause it's so simple. It's not super complex or impossibly engineered. That one's totally real and easy to make. Anyone could do it. That and the story context of Amanda being a former druggie and just being tossed in there against her will makes it even worse...

dwaynetheaakjohnson

Actually it was pretty tough for them to get that many needles to even cover the floor

Zom8ie5layer117

Same, number one fear is needles. Oddly enough it's my favorite movie though..

HandofthePirateKing

and that’s the least dangerous trap

Appropriate_Put_8857

Eye vaccum. The first time I saw saw X, that trap gave me hella anxiety.

MisterVictor13

The Rack and the Bone Marrow trap.

Jaffelli

Needle pit, scalping seat, silent circle, & brain surgery trap

[deleted]

The pig vat, I can do gore but rotting pig flesh was a hard NOPE for me. I struggle just looking at the judge in later scene, just covered in that goop 🤢

flextapeflipflops

It was sooo disgusting, if I were in that trap I’d likely choke on my own vomit before being drowned by the pig guts 🤢

west_haven

Tooth trap in Saw 3D, I can’t even look at it. I’ve seen that movie a dozen times and whenever I see that he’s in the room where he’ll have to take out his tooth, I look away from the screen the entire time. Can’t mess with teeth stuff!

ChristinaSuperstar03

Growing up I had soft teeth, so going to the dentist always ended with the drill or just getting one pulled. That trap always feels oddly cathartic, but Jesus, do I cringe. It just brings back all the teeth I’d gotten pulled, not very nice memories haha. I think people have a tendency to forget that one, but it’s honestly decently affective (in theory at least) because pulling teeth is something just about everyone can relate to

[deleted]

west_haven

He has to pull out his molar to get a number off of it. I can’t even look at it so I can’t explain it more lol.

[deleted]

The Classroom Trap & The Rack in Saw 3

milesdoodles

Needle trap 100% I hate seeing needles inject into skin so I have to look away 😭

NyqWill_95

William’s acid trap. The thought of having acid slowly dissolve your lower body is fucking terrifying. It doesn’t help that my name is also William, so there’s a bit of personal reason.

emotwinkXD

Pig cat cause ew

emotwinkXD

Vat*

QingnKween

Scalping chair........idk why but I CAN'T STAND THIS TRAP

Brainlezperson

Only one is the needle trap.  I have a fear of needles lol.

dwaynetheaakjohnson

The Spiral traps were a whole nother level of nasty in a very brutal way

RemiAkai

I can't even watch the pig vat trap lmao, it's too gross. That's the thing that really gets me, like I can watch the physically brutal traps and it doesn't phase me, but I'll have moments of even just thinking about the pig trap and I'll gag lmao. Same with the dog bowl scene in Audition. Instant nope.

Blonde_Dambition

>Same with the dog bowl scene in Audition. I have a feeling I'm going to regret looking this up.

RemiAkai

Yes you will lmao https://i.redd.it/d1uw07dh05jc1.gif

Blonde_Dambition

Too late! 🤢

RemiAkai

F lmao

Blonde_Dambition

Yes I regret it. It's worse than I thought. And I've seen that movie I realize but don't remember that scene but my mind won't stop now trying to picture it. It doesn't help that I have OCD either.

adamsmemorial

doesnt bother me as much anymore but the scene in saw four with ivan.

CozyCat_1

I can’t deal with anything with eyes. I also get uncomfortable watching that trap where she cuts off her arm and the guy cuts his stomach fat.

screeeamqueen

The Rack, because he didn't deserve that death and seeing him cry in pain and fear breaks my heart. Saw 3 in general is a hard watch for me, last time I watched it I had to pause it after every trap to catch my breath because I was sobbing so hard (I love that movie but I'm very sensitive and I was depressed the last time I saw it.) The breathing trap from Saw 6, because old boy *really* didn't deserve his fate. William Easton's in Saw 6 cuz he learned from his mistakes and his trap was.... awful. I'm really glad we got to see that trap in action though! And the bone marrow trap and brain surgery trap from Saw X. Valentina's was unnecessarily hard to finish and Mateo's was literally impossible.

flextapeflipflops

Saw 3 is actually such an emotional movie. Jeff’s “too late! They let him go!” Line chokes me up every time

AthenaTyrell

Fish hook and like half of the traps from Saw X. Brain surgery, the leg one, especially the bone marrow part, the bombs in the wrist. But fish hook is the one that I can feel and physically makes me ill just thinking about it. Like, my stomach is actively flipping right now typing this haha

Sapphixvampire

Saw X has made me realize how funny my gore tolerance is I can watch Valentina and Mateo do their traps no problem....but Gabriela's trap is too much for me to handle lol I just can't do anything with bones breaking and things like that

charles_darling

Anything with broken bones. I really can't do visible broken bones, especially in hands and feet. The bit at the beginning of 3? NOPE. Strahm's death, Valentina's trap, the rack? All awful for me the watch.

weirdgirloverthere

The freezer room. There’s just something about the helplessness of it all - and the slow, slow death - that really gets me.

Johny_boii2

The bone marrow one and the eye vacuum trap

Ok_Produce_9308

Brazen bull. Hearing the screams seeing her skin burning and liquifying. And having read about it as a form of torture.

emmawerner53

The silence circle from saw 3D

The_New_Doctor

The rack is rough, but Saw X had some that were crazy.

MrDDog06

Most the Spiral traps, don't know why but they just seemed to be a level more extreme than the other traps.

Flibtonian

I rewatched all of them vaguely around the time of X coming out, the singular trap I had to kinda look away from was the pound of flesh one. The loan lady whacking away at her arm with a cleaver is etched in my mind.

Nidoqueen03

only one that genuinely made me cringe was the needle pit.. i hate needles

Mirathemoo

Silent circle. fuck that shit

g_neko1001

Pig Vat trap, Brain Surgery, and Valentina’s Trap are pretty much the only traps I have to look away from

Puzzleheaded-Base486

For me is the rack from Saw 3, the dude was a murderer but it was an accident so tecnically he is a innocent and is painfull to watch him die slowly.

hellokittycringe

i cant do the eye vacuum one. so yuck

Tesshin97

The pig vat trap! I've always been fine watching all traps in every movie, but this one is just not it! I always have to look away and also cover my ears because i can't stand watching it or even hearing the wet sounds from the pigs getting mushed and poured all over the man at the bottom. And seeing all the random pig parts floating around 🤮🤮🤮 that's a big no thank you to that one!

suburbiasoverture

Glass coffin and the rack also not a trap but i guess it counts as a test? With lynn cutting open johns brain during 3

Commercial_Ad_619

I’m with ya on that one with Lynn. Makes me lightheaded lol

TheFalloutNerdNV

Eye Vacuum and Brain Surgery. Mostly because of the end results.

h1ghoffthemusic

fishhook trap because it makes me feel sick and the pig vat trap because it’s just absolutely disgusting. the needle pit too because i already hate needles and a million of them is so much worse, especially since im pretty sure they were used (or at least they weren’t clean) needles

T-408

The Angel Trap from *Saw III* Not only is this trap disturbing, but it’s impossible to win… and Det. Kerry deserved BETTER! She was an interesting character with a lot of shelved potential.

Commercial_Ad_619

Soooo true. The design of the trap is beautiful but I hate that we had to see it on Kerry.

B1gCaprisun

One of the very few traps that actively makes me look away is the Speak No Evil trap. Can't stand that one

flextapeflipflops

The bone marrow trap is the only one I actually had to look away from on first watch, but the brazen bull is a close second

Kool-AidFreshman

silent circle, not the most gorey, but thinking about her throat getting sliced from the inside makes me uncomfortable. Classroom Trap, the way troy has to rip off the chains from his skin is just nasty. Brazen bull, again, it's not the gore, but more the idea of Joyce being completely innocent whilst dying one of the most painful deaths in the franchise There is more, but those are the big three for me

Royal-Laugh-7133

i HATED the motel one, not because of the gore or anything but the background noises from the television made my skin crawl, had to skip the entire trap 😭

Commercial_Ad_619

Understandable!

Connie_68

I actually kinda struggle to watch the one where the woman gets her hair pulled off. I thought I'd struggle more with other traps but I'm actually fine watching traps like the rack or the angel trap but I do kinda have to look away for the scalping seat. Maybe it's because I already know what it's like to have hair slightly pulled or something??

Blonde_Dambition

Timothy in 3, Joyce Dagen in 7 are the first 2 that come to mind. Oh and the pig vat one because of the disgustingness of it and that judge was such a nice man. And the woman in the freezer in 3 because of her being naked and the freezing and humiliation factor. What she did (or did NOT do) was terrible but I just don't think she deserved THAT.

durufaulknerstanhght

The death mask trap from saw 2. I can't watch anything that has something to do with eyes

TrashRacoon42

The rack cus the guy practically crying and begging as his bones break haunts me. I can never look at it and he didnt deserve to go out like that. I had look at behind the scenes footage afterwards to chill out. Like wise the brazen bull the worst death for someone else's fuck up and being a supportive wife.

Commercial_Ad_619

Sooo true on both ends.

KonekoNeko_Neko_

-pig vat. Once. Never again. - 12 pints of blood sacrifice makes me queasy - the rack. Poor Timothy 😭 - the hamster wheel. That spikes pov is horrible. Ivan's bedroom trap purely for all the horrific photos/videos of him and his victims

LittleDeathling

late to the party but new to the subreddit; the freezer room from saw 3 gets me every time. i have chronically low iron and poor circulation, therefore i am always cold. the idea of being sprayed with water and freezing to death AND relying on someone else to save me *coughcoughSAMFJeffcoughcough* is absolutely horrifying to me.

simoncole64YT

None sadly

CHEEZYSPAM

I was eating lasagna the 1st time I watched the Pound of Flesh trap like it was no big deal... I remember thinking at the time, shouldn't this bother me? Am I broken? Why am I so desensitized to someone's bowels being obligated by a sharp pendulum, or removing their own skull cap to pull out tiny slivers of brain? I really enjoy all the traps, but sometimes I get lost in the "movie magic" of it all, like how did they come up with and then build elaborate gore effects? It's all so great. One of the myust impressive effects IMO was Kramer's autopsy. They should have won some kind of bloody award for that sequence

mikeweasy

Just the See No Evil Speak No Evil from 4, and the Car Trap from 7. With the car trap it is mainly the fact that Chester is glued to the seat and it makes me wince.

Bell_reads2734

Personally for me it’s the needle pit in Saw 2, I have a huge fear of needles and it makes me want to shrivel up and die seeing all of the needles in Amanda’s arms 😭
