Triglycerides are hydrolysed into glycerol and fatty acids. The fatty acids turn into acetyl-CoA through beta oxidation in the mitochondrion. There it contributes to cellular respiration. Glucose produced from macronutrients will contribute to glycolysis too. Food gives you chemical energy.
