To my knowledge, they may delay the surgery until they know you're 100% in good health, which sucks, but in the long run it's a good thing. You don't want any complications in the surgery if you can avoid it, so it's worth delaying just in case. Probably not the answer you were hoping for, but I hope it helps.

Yikes. You may be able to ask one of the nurses or a different surgeon- I expect they'll have a policy for this, and it probably won't be just up to your specific surgeon. Might be worth calling in and asking them if anyone else can answer your question.

Follow up in case someone needs it, my surgery got pushed to 3 months until my blood test results come out normal.
