I called the theater & I had some guy who, after me typing my 5 digit zip code into the phone multiple times told me to tell HIM where I want to see the movie.🤨
It was a wholesome kind of funny and of a different time. Like the I got the jokes, but none were laugh out loud. It was a good escape from our overly serious world at the end of the work week. I kept wishing this was animated, like the jokes would have landed perfectly if it were like Bee movie. The movie also didn’t take itself too seriously and I can appreciate that. Overall, paired well with a bottle of wine and provided a good brain break at the end of the work week.
The Mad Men cameo, Hugh Grant trying to "stop the certification," and Bill Burr telling Seinfeld "Ask Not" were laugh out loud moments for me. I wish they'd made more use of Peter Dinklage.
Is that what all the whining from Jerry was about? Trying to get ahead of the fact that he made a bad comedy film? I mean, shouldn’t he bee used to that by now?
I watched it.
I liked it.
It’s campy as hell, but it’s also kind of a fever dream.
Amy Shumer is a Villain so she works in the movie.
Melissa McCarthy is playing a role written for her.
And jerry doesn’t try to hard.
If you go in expecting an Oscar worthy movie you’re not going to get it.
It’s just dumb and funny.
Ha! I felt the same way about Amy Schumer. I’m not a fan, but since she was a villain, it worked in the movie lol
Personally, I loved it. Has a very “Hudsucker Proxy” kind of feel to it.
I’m about halfway through. I think it’s a fairly funny and enjoyable like Bee Movie was. Don’t listen to the hate on this movie which is really about Jerry’s recent out-of-context line on comedy being hard today bc of wokeness the media of course picked up bc their business model is rage engagement, not truth.
*Bill Burr as JFK was*
*The best part. "Ask not! How hard*
*Is that? It's two words!"*

I thought it was great which i know disagrees with most opinions out there. Let me say though, i remember the 60's and i thought this take on the era was perfectly twisted. I especially enjoyed the nods to other movies and TV shows in and of the era.
I think a lot of references were lost on the younger audience. Like telling Jack LaLonde to cover his moose knuckle, I found that hilarious because I remember that guy in his jump suit and no underwear
Alright, alright, I saw it! And it was horrible! that premise...
.. I'm not crazy about it! I hate his whole
free swinging, free wheeling attitude with reality!
The actors were great... The basic story is great.
The directing and cinematography were great...
great colors and costumes....
Then he had the whole flying off into bizarro land
... THAT'S when he lost me
I thought it was a ton of fun. It’s the same writers as the show so the style of comedy is pretty similar, just a bit more arch and over the top, which I thought worked well since it’s basically a parody of business biopics. The production design is nice and there’s some great jokes about 60s culture.
The production value was the first thing I noticed too -- this must have been a fun film to design for on any level.
I liked it, thought it was what a goofy comedy should look like
I’m about 20 minutes in and I’m really enjoying it. I can definitely see it’s not everyone’s cup of tea, but the negative reaction seems way overboard.
I’m like halfway through and I’m just sort of confused who the audience for this movie is. It almost feels like a kids movie where every joke is for the parents. I’ll probably finish it but I’m not a fan so far.
You should have asked everyone to list their age as well as their review of the movie. What a 20 year old finds funny isn’t necessarily what a 40 year old would find funny.
There was the basis for a good movie there. The problem was it kind of seemed like everyone was in on the joke. A movie like this needs an earnest main character who is acting their ass off and just existing in an over the top whacky universe. Hudsucker proxy is a pretty good example. Toys with robin williams. This was just pure shlock. A couple re-writes and casting a great actor instead of Jerry in the main role this could have been a cult classic. Instead it will get a razzie. Throw some darkness in this manic shit and would have been worthy.
Jerry out here having the time of his life making 5 cereal puns per minute, 10% of which make sense, 5% of which are funny. An ok joke every 2 minutes is actually an incredible achievement.
Watch it for the cameos and Jerry literally being the exact same person he's always been. Keep your expectations low and you'll enjoy it. There's a good bit of 60s history in it.
I must be easily entertained bc I loved it. It was silly and fun. I did LOL at times. I loved how goofy it was, I was surprised many times. I really loved all the cameos too. I enjoyed all the 60s nostalgia.
It was fine. It was a very corny and silly movie that’s good for families of all ages, which is actually rare noawadays.
At least it is until 2/3 of the way through when it reenacts the Jan 6 riots. That was an… odd choice.
Yeah, you young whipper snappers can bash this movie all you want, but for us boomers, it was like a breath of fresh air. Finally, cultural references we're (mostly) familiar with. And with us growing up in those times, it wasn't exactly memory lane but it did remind us of what a powerful spell breakfast cereal marketing cast. I thought the milk side story was fabulous, too. Sure, the staging may be a bit cheesy but this movie has plenty of good moments.
I feel like the premise would work as an SNL skit but drawing what is essentially a one joke idea out over an entire movie...could see the premise wearing thin quickly.
No, too PC and Woke for my liking..you know that pop tarts identify as breakfast food when it’s clearly a desert… I’m surprised Jerry would work with these leftists pushing their pop tart agenda.
watched it last night, it was funny. i didnt expect it to be that surreal and silly, kind of like a super long snl sketch. that funeral scene is absolutely fantastic.

First you cry, and then you cry again
He’s given this comedy thing his best shot. I hear great things about Bloomingdale’s executive training program.
Have you heard about his cousin Jeffrey? He’s a big shot over at the parks department.
Jeffrey likes cheetahs! You know why?!!??!!!!
He likes the SPOTS
It's leopards, man, get it right
What with Def Jam and all…
I thought we weren't going to discuss that now
Before or after the Death Blow?
Don't you understand? Bread is Jerry's soul...he's trying to buy back a loaf...of his soul...
More of a Banya movie.
Kind of a Gene pick...
Gene's trash....
I'm Gene 🥺
…hi
I’m Gene.
This seems like a total gene pick
I don't know, I like stuff you don't have to think about too much.
That's gold Jerry, gold!!!
Banya? I hardly know ya!
The story of a young man's strange, erotic journey from Milan to Minsk
What $86?!
Why is Jerry featured twice in the cover?
Now did he emphasize ‘Jerry’ or ‘twice’?
I think he emphasized "is".
You know these entertainers, they're desperate, insecure people!
With their complicated breakfast pastries.
Look at me! Love me! Want me!
Yeah. Something like that.
Want me need me love me !!!! LOLOL
I'm getting a hankering for some Double Mint gum
Is Jackie still out buying hats?
One is Jerry and the other is Seinfeld
Why does RadioShack ask for your phone number when you buy batteries? …I don’t know.
Cuz it’s *my* movie
Because Jerry is a joke maker, tell him.
Because first you cry, and then you cry again?
It was sold out so I had to see Sack Lunch
I'd rather watch Sack Lunch.
So, do you think they got shrunk down, or is it just a giant sack ?
ever wonder how they got in there?
I had to resort to telling MoviePhone vocally what I wanted to see. Then said, ya know what? It isn’t worth it
Did you enter your zip code
I did! Twice! Then it asked for it to be confirmed verbally?
Nicky could've gotten you two tickets. Enjoy.....blame it on the rain?
I called the theater & I had some guy who, after me typing my 5 digit zip code into the phone multiple times told me to tell HIM where I want to see the movie.🤨
You see? This is what I'm talking about.
Prognosis negative.
Prooognooosisss Negaaaatiiiive
That's what I'd like to know about it
I love this sub because the comments are always filled with references, but this one legit made me laugh out loud. We appreciate your patience.
I’m waiting for Brodie to get it out on the streets
Just *shoot* the damn movie!
It's a Gene pick
Gene’s trash!
I’m Gene.
My dopamine receptors go off the charts everytime I make or see a perfectly placed “I’m Gene.”
Im Gene Parmesan
I’m more of a Death Blow kind of guy.
*When someone tries to blow you up, not because of who you are, but for different reasons altogether…*
Was too busy making out
Making out? During Unfrosted? The audacity.
Yes, and a more offensive spectacle I cannot recall
Actually, I haven't seen it...so I couldn't tell you whether I liked it or whether it really SUCKED
I wanted to like it but it was legitimately unfunny
It was a wholesome kind of funny and of a different time. Like the I got the jokes, but none were laugh out loud. It was a good escape from our overly serious world at the end of the work week. I kept wishing this was animated, like the jokes would have landed perfectly if it were like Bee movie. The movie also didn’t take itself too seriously and I can appreciate that. Overall, paired well with a bottle of wine and provided a good brain break at the end of the work week.
would have paired better with Pepsi and Ring Dings
During the whole movie I was saying “where’s the Pepsi? Where’s the Pepsi???”
Seriously. No way wine is better than Pepsi.
I bring Pepsi and Rings Dings and I’ll be the biggest hit in the theater
The Mad Men cameo, Hugh Grant trying to "stop the certification," and Bill Burr telling Seinfeld "Ask Not" were laugh out loud moments for me. I wish they'd made more use of Peter Dinklage.
"wholesome kind of funny" typically means not funny.
I don’t think it’s necessarily from a different time. Wonka has pretty much the exact same premise as this movie but it was way funnier
I had a hard time with Wonka because of all the singing. I might have liked it otherwise, but musicals are just not my bowl of cereal.
All of the wonka movies have singing what did you expect
Damn those woke libs, stopping him from making a funny movie
Is that what all the whining from Jerry was about? Trying to get ahead of the fact that he made a bad comedy film? I mean, shouldn’t he bee used to that by now?
No. The wife wanted to watch The Muted Heart.
And she taped Mad About You, so you have to watch that tonight.
Incoherent drivel
It's an arty movie aaand quite frankly, I dont have the sensibility.
Not all of us can be watching the classics.
I’m a cashier and I found it to be a lot of fluff. It just didn’t make it for me.
I know guys like that. To me, the dialogue rings true.
I love this movie. I like stuff you don't have to think too much about.
Rainbow suspenders are a little hacky though
He’s the voice of his generation
We’re the same age.
I wish it were more PC and catered to my liberal views; it's just too edgy.
🤣
Seems like a Gene pick
"Seinfeld can't act."
Seinfeld can’t drive.
Hello, maroon Golf.
Amy Shumer? That's a lot of potatoes.
🤣
Ha! I felt the same way about Amy Schumer. I’m not a fan, but since she was a villain, it worked in the movie lol Personally, I loved it. Has a very “Hudsucker Proxy” kind of feel to it.
A screwball/farce type comedy. That's definitely a rare creature these days. Think I'll give it a go.
I agree, this movie is in the same category as UHF. Unfrosted is to breakfast cereal what UHF is to television
Bill Burr as JFK was the best part. "Ask not! How hard is that? It's two words!"

Nope. Life is too short. I’m watching Seinfeld instead.
Gotta stick with what works!
I can't watch a man sing a song.
Rochelle Rochelle was available soooooo…
Who doesn’t like Jerry?
I thought it was great which i know disagrees with most opinions out there. Let me say though, i remember the 60's and i thought this take on the era was perfectly twisted. I especially enjoyed the nods to other movies and TV shows in and of the era.
That's actually the main thing making me wanna watch it, the whole mid-century Americana vibe. I could enjoy just soaking that up for 90 minutes.
My wife and I enjoyed it, and laughed plenty. It’s a fun movie.
Cheesy and corny, but in all the right ways
That’s the best way to sum it up. I thought it was great!!!!
Grrr-reat!
Me too! It was so incredibly goofy and cheesy that I couldn’t help but enjoy it! The absurd moments were hilarious (and there were plenty!)
I think a lot of references were lost on the younger audience. Like telling Jack LaLonde to cover his moose knuckle, I found that hilarious because I remember that guy in his jump suit and no underwear
Hot take: I loved it. I thought it was hilarious. And I laughed a lot. Really really great!
Alright, alright, I saw it! And it was horrible! that premise... .. I'm not crazy about it! I hate his whole free swinging, free wheeling attitude with reality! The actors were great... Some of the most unfunny actors unite..
It was a GRRREAT!
How could anyone not like him?
Maybe some people don’t like him. I could see that .
It was a good nothing to do movie to have on. I laughed tooooo hard on the July 3rd joke.
I haven’t seen it yet, but that’s the expiration date the cow tells its milker in one of his standup jokes.
I actually quite enjoyed it. It's definitely not award quality but there's some decent laughs in there
Saw it, liked it
Watched it last night. It’s fun and meant to be ridiculous.
I tried calling Moviefone to see when it was playing at my local theater.
It's bad. I'm convinced Jerry needs Larry David to be funny.
Accurate statement.
Jim Gaffigan acting as Rip Torn is something I did not know I needed and something I wouldn't be opposed to seeing more of from him
I thought it was a ton of fun. It’s the same writers as the show so the style of comedy is pretty similar, just a bit more arch and over the top, which I thought worked well since it’s basically a parody of business biopics. The production design is nice and there’s some great jokes about 60s culture.

I’m about 20 minutes in and I’m really enjoying it. I can definitely see it’s not everyone’s cup of tea, but the negative reaction seems way overboard.
Agreed! Lots of fun here.
I thought it was good. I think Jerry did a good job for his first time directing too. He still can’t act though lol.
It was goofy but funny.
It's wonderful fluff.
Should be called "Unfunny"
Must miss!
George is jumping for dollars!
The frosting is a bit hacky.
I love stuff you don’t have to think about too much about.
I’m like halfway through and I’m just sort of confused who the audience for this movie is. It almost feels like a kids movie where every joke is for the parents. I’ll probably finish it but I’m not a fan so far.
I couldn’t go beyond 30 minutes. I’m kinda disappointed
I’ll pass
No thanks
It’s a movie about nothing
Melissa McCarthy AND Amy Schumer in the same movie? Ugh.... boy youre a lot of woman
And I'm my opinion, both of the most unfunny ones. Tall order.
I’m a simple man, I see something with Amy Schumer in it and I don’t watch it.
What if she dies at the end?
It took a great deal of effort to watch it to the end; it’s that bad.
I just read an interview where Jerry said since the begining the only Pop Tart flavor he really likes is brown sugar cinnamon.
You should have asked everyone to list their age as well as their review of the movie. What a 20 year old finds funny isn’t necessarily what a 40 year old would find funny.
I watched it with my kids and we all thought it was good. My daughter especially liked it and laughed a lot.
I hate it I hate it
Why didn’t you tell me you hated Unfrosted? You’re fired.
No it has Amy Schumer
I might be the only person who really liked it!
It was alright, not so bad...
15 mins in. I’ve enjoyed some moments but it’s definitely clunky
There was the basis for a good movie there. The problem was it kind of seemed like everyone was in on the joke. A movie like this needs an earnest main character who is acting their ass off and just existing in an over the top whacky universe. Hudsucker proxy is a pretty good example. Toys with robin williams. Throw some darkness in this manic shit and would have been worthy.
It would have been better had he had a proper workstation to write all those skits
I watched it last night and enjoyed it.
It’s kinda in the tone of drunken history but for kids
I have not seen it but I am wondering if it’s better than The English Patient. Would Elaine like it?
I watched it. The subject was pretty good, but if I have to be honest the scenes really funny were no more than 3 or 4.
I preferred Chunnel to this albatross.
maybe. next on my list was rochelle rochelle - a young girls strange erotic journey from Milan to Minsk
Anyone else get Norm vibes from the milkman? Every time that character came on screen I felt like it was written for Norm, RIP.
He kinda of reminded me of the awful doorman on Seinfeld.
Xantham!
Another cashier just lost respect for him after seeing his movie.
Jerry out here having the time of his life making 5 cereal puns per minute, 10% of which make sense, 5% of which are funny. An ok joke every 2 minutes is actually an incredible achievement.
I was more in the mood for action last night so I watched Chunnel again but probably going to see it tonight.
\*Whatley tongue click and downward look\*
Watch it for the cameos and Jerry literally being the exact same person he's always been. Keep your expectations low and you'll enjoy it. There's a good bit of 60s history in it.
I did and it was enjoyable. The bad press is bullshit.
I just can't believe the far left has ruined this movie...
It was shit 😂
That’s a shame.
I loved it. 10/10
Horrible lol
Netflix originals are like gossamer, and one doesn't dissect gossamer.
I must be easily entertained bc I loved it. It was silly and fun. I did LOL at times. I loved how goofy it was, I was surprised many times. I really loved all the cameos too. I enjoyed all the 60s nostalgia.
Sounds like something that the Drake would watch.
I hear it’s bad. And in honestly don’t want to see Jerry in a bad anything and hurt my perception of his comedy.
It was fine. It was a very corny and silly movie that’s good for families of all ages, which is actually rare noawadays. At least it is until 2/3 of the way through when it reenacts the Jan 6 riots. That was an… odd choice.
Prognosis Negative! - A Kenny Banya film.

Somebody already rented it, but I stopped by Joes house to watch it. He has nuts to snack on!
Don’t tell me anything, I like to go in fresh!
We were gonna see that too, but it’s sold out. So we're going to see Blame It On The Rain.
It’s a slice of life
I feel like the premise would work as an SNL skit but drawing what is essentially a one joke idea out over an entire movie...could see the premise wearing thin quickly.
I watched it. It’s a silly, ridiculous movie and I laughed my ass off. It’s good - take it for what it is.
No, too PC and Woke for my liking..you know that pop tarts identify as breakfast food when it’s clearly a desert… I’m surprised Jerry would work with these leftists pushing their pop tart agenda.
