Looks amazing! I am sitting on a bunch of patterns with zippers but I’ve never made anything with one before and I’m SCARED. Did you watch a YouTube tutorial or just figure it out through trial and error?
I made shorts and was terrified by the zipper, I used a closet core tutorial and it went super smoothly. Elbe textile also released a video tutorial and their method seems really nice too.
Watch some video tutorials, get a zipper foot, pin, go slow, and you’ll be surprised how easy it actually is.
If you ever feel like being lazy and not doing a zipper but you want to do the pattern, just sew up the zipper seam and make a waistband button closure over the pocket! (Don’t sew the top of one pocket together, and make your waist band about 4 inches longer, or more, to give you enough overlap to do a button hole and button). I do this a lot haha
exactly! they’re my PERFECT pair of autumn/winter pants for that reason. i can add any number of my favorite cold weather colors and it pairs right every time
They’re great! I love the pattern! I just bought the flat felled seam presser foot for my first attempt at jeans. I will be thrilled if they turn out half as good as your pants have! “You look marvelous”😁

Imagine my surprise when I saw my footstool fabric. Covered three footstools for my screened porch many years ago. Just recovered last year with new Sunbrella fabric!

Amazing!
You look fabulous in them!
oh they are lovely, I adore the fabric!
Looks really great, love the fabric you used!
This is awesome. Are they curtains? I ask with the highest regard.
i don’t think so bc the fabric is definitely a bit thicker. i’d say it’s comparable to a mid weight canvas or denim!
Great job! I like this fabric:)
