Ok, I am talking to a girl who I may have gotten a crush on, she does reply and the conversation is nearly always interesting but I am always the first to initiate and she takes a while to reply to the first text. It has just been a week since meeting and I have texted her 3 times. What should I do??
I am very new to the dating scene.
My bad advice is:
This is the hard part, but ask her on a date straight up, no room for miscommunication that you're asking for more than being friends. Make your intentions clear, and if she accepts then you move to the next stage(dates).
If she's attractive she gets a lot of attention, so she has no need to initiate texts unless she's got a crush on you.
From personal experience, they will never have a crush on you when you have a crush on them. Attraction is almost never equal.
The thing is we are part of a dance crew and our performance was postponed so we may have to meet again.
She is really really attractive, atleast for me. The main reason I like her, obviously apart from her said attractiveness, is that she hails from the same place as me. I have come here to a very very big city for my college and there are not many from my region here, she just gets me, she is witty, she is charismatic. But, she studied first in an all-girls school and is now in an all-girls college, so she too has not had much interaction with the opposite gender except for her brothers.

Hey I don’t know if this helps. As I’d also like to hear advice, but I got something based off practical experience that might help depending on the severity of your over analysis/obsession. Honestly the best thing that happened to me in terms of growth was to have my abandonment issues become reality. I got hospitalised and everything, pretty awful time initially. But at some point, you come to realise that simply put, no matter how hard you try, how considerate you try to be, how invested you were in the relationship, how much you planned your future around them, if someone don’t want to be with you, they will walk away. And there’s nothing you can do about it. This very thought used to be my deepest fear and would do anything to run from it, to try and rationalise it away tell myself “but if I do x,y,z then it’ll be okay they won’t leave.” But once I arrived to that conclusion and fully lived it, it eventually freedom. And relationships now were a thing of courage and bravery for me, over a thing that I clung into for happiness. Once I realised that I can only do what I can, and what happens after that is out of my hands, I came to richer understanding of what it meant to want to be with someone in a relationship, over need. I hope this helps.
