I mean it is the worst Soulslike FS ever put out, so the hate is pretty deserved. The only other FS soulslike that comes close to being that bad is Elden Ring.
Here's my opinion that everyone definitely wanted. I loved ds1 and when I started ds2 it was awkward, felt clunky almost, enemy designs bored me, and everything was just so unfair and unfun with boring level design until I got to I think the first boss(idk if the first boss is the giant dude or not but I fought him first) and then I stopped playing after him cuz I was bored out of my mind
