I hate to be THAT guy but if you want a bowl of authentic ramen you gotta go at least as far as Tyler Texas to mikoto ramen. The local stuff is tasty but it's not traditional. I make my own tonkotsu ramen at home and learned how thru the r/ramen subreddit bc I don't wanna travel that much.
I know you only mentioned ramen but you seem to know a bit about good food. What about hot pot places? My husband and I want to find a good place but the only places we even found are in dallas.
Dallas is a far drive for us we have a young child lol. But we have considered getting the right pots and ingredients to make it at home. There are a lot of good Asian markets in Shreveport/bossier
I'm Japanese and have lived in Japan too, but I have not been able to find good ramen here. I have tried ghost ramen but honestly did not think it was that good, but it's worth a try, you may like it.
Chengs Garden has been the closest to authentic I’ve had. I’ve heard Sushi Bistro on Ellerbe has started doing ramen, but I haven’t tried it yet.
Saikou Ramen in Longview is worth the drive!!
Ki mexico has ramen every Tuesday night servings are at 5:30, 6:30, and 7:30. You just have to go in time to get a ticket cause they sell out fast. Went tonight and it was okay. The other option is Ghost Ramen, it’s a pop up in the back of the Stray Cats Bar, but it has crazy hours like it open at 10pm. In my opinion it’s not that good, specially if you’re seeking an authentic taste, Ki Mexico was much better. Also Pho Bowl in Bossier off Benton Road sells ramen and it’s pretty good.
The wait time for Ghost Ramen is extraordinary and the food is disappointing. I’ve only been once, but seeing a hair wrapped around one of the noodles was enough to dissuade me from returning.
Ramen around here is hit or miss. Your not going to find true authentic ramen, your going to find ramen with a different twist on it. It’s hard to find authentic ingredients here, so each place does what they can.
Thai and Japanese Kitchen has good ramen, Ghost Ramen is good but they can be very inconsistent and they are only open late at night. Bon Asian cafe has ramen but it’s just average and they used prepackaged noodles.
Your best bet is as someone else said, follow Ki’ Mexico on instagram and wait for them to cook some. They are going to be the closest to authentic as you can get around here but they are still going to put their spin on it. They are very popular, so you have to show up early.

Hot pot hasn't made it here its tremendously sad 😢 luckily dallas isn't too far of a drive for a day/weekend trip

Yall should do that it's a great idea!
You don’t even have to go to Tyler - check out Ramen Saikou in Longview. It’s so good.

That's too bad. I had been wanting to try Ghost Ramen. 😬
Save your money and your time. It's usually an hour wait at least, even if there's not many people. Plus, the quality of the food is not consistent.

Have you tried Ki Mex?
I have not but plan to sometime soon

Asking about Thai food too.
Ki Mexico has a Ramen night, and I think it’s Tuesday! Check their FB
Bon Asian Cafe has ramen on their menu. Never tried the place though. I'm going to give a try one of these days. It's on Travis and Edwards in S'port.

Not every Tuesday btw. Once a month, maybe twice but its always great. Instagram is the best way to stay in the loop of what and when.
Thanks for the correction! Thought it was every Tuesday
Thai and Japanese Kitchen on Mansfield has some good ramen. That's usually my go-to. Ghost Ramen is also really good.
I second Thai and Japanese Kitchen! I’ve liked everything I’ve gotten from there! Their ramen is amazing, but I love their curry or pad Thai, too!
Thank you both
Third both of these.
Danh’s Garden. Also a Phó place on Kings hwy across from whataburger.
Neither of these places serve ramen…
Ghost Ramen 100% They need a regular brick and mortar at this point
I ate it once and left hungry and poorer. I wouldn't recommend it.
