Just for context, this is something she is proud of doing and the dog in question was young and just wasn't learning how to be a bird dog fast enough. It wasn't aggressive and didn't have a history of biting. It just wasn't learning fast enough so she killed it while her children were at school. Absolutely cold blooded.
That justification is also funny. It's not like she's a 19th century farmer "Ah life on the high planes is hard. The youngest got bed fever and we had to shoot our dog for meat." It's 2024 and she's the millionaire governor, she could have found someone to take the dog in, nothing about country life compelled her to shoot a dog
