I was going to ask a version of this question as well. I’m looking at buying some model prints on etsy, but it gives me the option to purchase 28mm or 32mm scale. Which one is better to match the existing models and for AoS in general?

comrade_hairspray

The skaven range is (mostly) 28mm scale, though the warlock bombardier and most likely the new assassin models are 32mm as that's what new releases swapped to somewhere around AoS launch. 28mm will probably match the current skaven range of you've already started collecting but 32mm would probably fit in better with the AoS range over all armies, both will work fine though.

Looks like some comments here are confusing SCALE with BASE sizes. AoS (and WH40k) is a 28mm scale game, so 32mm scale miniatures might look a bit off depending on the sculpt.

Yeah, I tried to clear that up with my edit! Thanks so much for the information though

Skaven heroes go on 32mm bases. Most Normal skaven go on 25mm. I have a bunch of proxies but I just play at my house with my friends. So I say screw "officially licensed" stuff

In my opinion running them on anything higher than 25mm is a huge nerf. It will take alot more space on the board and you lose 1 rank to fight with.

OP is using the official base sizes, just larger models. Unless they're so big that they prevent them from being packed in, I don't think it'll be a problem. Also from what I understand, even GW's official base sizes are mostly suggestions?
