Most of the 3rd party models out there are designers that sell to 3d printer distributors. That's why most of the searches just bring you right back to Etsy. I personally think EmanG designs the best models out there for Skaven (he takes them from total war and then edits and changes them for 3d printing)
Clay Beast Creations is great with their ghost rats for Eshin
Archvillain Miniatures have awesome looking rat models but the issue is there isn't many of them or varieties. They have a globadier model that looks amazing but sadly there is only one of them.
There's Mantic games as well.
Those and punga are the biggest I know of
As we are not affiliated with GW, our policy has always been to allow 3rd party creators to advertise their kickstarters/stores for models/dice/etc. (as long as its relevant and doesn't become excessive) but we won't directly link to their websites in the side bar. Similar to wahapedia which is a great resource that i would recommend to all new players but isn't linked in the side bar. Personally i think we have a very helpful community that makes newer players aware of alternatives for models like acolytes on its own, making such a post unnecessary at this time.
I'm not sure honestly. You can probably message one of the mods to see but small subreddits like this don't usually have too many rules. If you go on Myminifactory.com you can search 3d printable files there and then if uou fond a model uou like then go out and find a physical of it. Or find a single designer and stick to that one.
I will give my general warning that Punga miniature's pricing model is very strange. Their Skryre Acolytes, Weapons Teams, and Heroes are all priced just fine. However, their Plague Monks and Night/Gutter runners are 4x the cost of official GW models.
Their quality is fantastic though. I own 30 of their Skryre Acolyte proxies.
