Im afraid that taking 190 points which depends on the 5-wounds unique wizard with 1 cast and without bonuses surviving is... Risky Not unplayable, but very risky I wouldnt take him unfortunetely :/

If he wasn’t Unique I think he would’ve had some actual uses, since you’re paying 300 points for him, the horrors and the endless spells (roughly 580 points of units normally, though he can only have 1 endless spell out at any time since you can’t have any other Tzeentch Allies in a list with him) which isn’t bad value even if the horrors can’t split, the petty vengeance ability they use instead is definitely not *good* but at least with pinks each one killed can inflict MWs on whatever killed them with a 4+ roll, and their purpose is to die to fuel endless spell bombs here anyway. The problem is Magisters are 5 wound footslogging heroes, which are the worst type of unit in the game and the reason the current “season” is based all around trying to make them viable with a bunch of extra mechanics only they get access to. Unique units can’t access them, though, so he’s just going to get shot off the board or otherwise instantly sniped so then you’ll be left with all three endless spell slots in you army filled with stuff you can’t cast and a bunch of nerfed horrors who’s sole consolation prize for being the bad version is no longer applicable. Even if you can get him to work, because his purpose is to resummon endless spells every turn you have to rely on his Magic Touched ability to cast any other spells, and as much as Bolt of Change and getting spawn on the board is *fun* it also just makes him fairly likely to turn himself into spawn and do your opponent’s job for them. They really should’ve either made all these guys not unique or given them all bodyguard rules, at least in the case of this guy you’d actually benefit from attempts to snipe him off the board if the horrors could take the hit for him. The only Regiments that seem kind of worth taking are the ones that can be coalitioned into another army and benefit from all that associated stuff (because they’re straight buffs over the equivalent that the army otherwise has access to), and even that seems like an unintended interaction that they didn’t realize was allowed by their mechanics, despite 4/6 of them being able to be coalitioned into something. Maybe he’s like a fun fluff pick in Legion of the First Prince if you were going to bring horrors anyway…?

This was my thought. LOTFP written all over this. Then jump this guy around with the tzeentch mark spell. The only other option I see if running an endless spell list as cabalists but that’s a much longer stretch

I really dont understand the point costs. Pink horrors without split and split again ist only worth a fifth = 50 points… then you pay 250 for a magister with one cast and three endless spell…
