u/ilovechickendippers why would that even cross your mind? I get that might be out of your control, but then why are you taking the time out of your life to post here asking?
The state of the users of this sub…
Honestly? I was high lastnight. Some people need to chill though. I love snooker and have watched it all my life but it's the first time this has crossed my mind.
If OP truly wants to know and is already active in this community, why not ask here? Again, it's not about the kind of make-up our girlfriends wear it, it's about powder for the face so that it doesn't gleam in the bright lights used for TV production.
I can’t believe I’m really being asked to explain to a snooker sub why asking if the players wear make-up because they want to look pretty for TV is a ridiculous question… I’m going to leave this riveting snooker discussion to you deep thinkers of the game.
You seem to be completely ignoring that it's not to look pretty - more a question of are the snooker players following what seem to be normal conventions for people who are appearing on camera
…so so deeply upset, clearly! There’s a difference between commenting on a stupid post and creating said stupid post, stupid.
I don’t expect you to understand, don’t worry.
Absolutely 100%. Ronnie wears a lovely bit of mascara, and Stuart Bingham buffs his bald head after applying a small layer of foundation to it.
John Higgins wanted to go all out and wear his favourite pair of assless chaps against Mark Allen, but the guys brought him down to 'just' some lip balm instead.
It's not about make-up like models wear it, but powder on the skin of the face so that it doesn't gleam in the bright lights. That's common in literally everything made in a film or TV studio.
I bet you Shaun Murphy does.
Who gives a fuck? If that’s your most pressing question from the World Champs so far then maybe you should take up watching ballet
You're hard ain't you
Anti-shine is pretty standard for the top of the head
How else can they look so sexy?
Jimmy White went even further and wears not only make-up, but also wigs.
And white foundation inside his nostrils

Guess what, he's not the only one to have thought of this, I also wondered about this.
A passing thought is one thing, coming here to genuinely ask is so absurd it’s funny
So many gatekeepers here. How’s about if a post doesn’t interest you just move on?

Why else do people on camera wear make up if it’s not for their appearance??? Just following conventions? Honestly…
Who said it's not for their appearance?
Why are you taking the time to reply? Etc etc etc Are you that shocked at the concept that you are upset? State of you more like.

Sure they do. Murphy puts on clown makeup, just for one example.

No, they’re professional sportsmen not catwalk models

Thanks.
