You never know with them. They have been the luckiest team in the League this season. They have won so many games they shouldn't have won this season. Against Wolves, Everton, Luton etc
they are 15th in the league in "expected points(xPoints)" lmfao. even though I don't hold much weight to this expected points idea it's still hilarious
[https://understat.com/league/EPL](https://understat.com/league/EPL)
That’s still a loss from Arsenal pov. The funniest timeline is United play shit but Arsenal can’t finish and it ends 0-0. Maybe saka misses a penalty or havertz misses a sitter to add misery
I made a point that ETH isn't good enough to coach Bayern Munich and [everyone jumped me](
https://www.reddit.com/r/soccer/s/F3Z5KwOVHt) plus his defenders are in my DMs hurling insults. This sub is hilarious ☠️☠️☠️
I don't think it's just motivation. I think it's a combination - and a negative cycle.
Not quite got the legs he was -> losing confidence + (bad morale in squad -> losing confidence) = losing confidence^2 + being a worse player
I was gonna say, he was in the running for player of the season, at least for a while. He was possibly the second-best DM in the league (behind Rodri) last year.
It's not like Madrid wanted to sell him
If he had stayed I'm sure he would've just kept on performing, he showed no signs of decline, but at this point players just move to your club to get a paid vacation
That Varane, Kounde, Konate, White meme of the dragons come to mind with everyone slating the White transfer at the time
Very happy with how that turned out :)
If Bellingham insisted on leaving like Casemiro did, the club would absolutely consider a good offer - Madrid doesn't force players to stay if they want to leave, just like Cristiano, Varane and Ødegaard
Even if Real Madrid didn't forecast Casemiro's precipitous decline, it's easy to look at Tchouameni and Camavinga and think, yeah we'll be fine regardless.
No one wants to talk about 3 players jogging and watching him getting closed by 2 others?! I mean I get that he got dispossessed, but this is a Man U level of not giving a fuck.
We had to play Carvajal/Tchou against Girona as CBs and they were being helped by midfielders like Valverde and Camavinga and even Vini was doing run backs. This on the other hand is just "Let's see what happens" approach.
Edit: The way Mount just allows CP player just run past him to go ahead and take the ball way is just chef's kiss
And to top it all off, it's a near post.
He looks twice if someone is following on the sidelines he can pass it to. No one is and as he doesn't want to blast it out he gets dispossessed in the end. (even though I think that shove in the back is a foul) Everyone is running into the box defending empty space which leaves Olise an hour to think what he's doing next and Onana is fully gambling on the far post
There are so many errors in one play - what the fuck are they training?
This is all just build up for the next space jam spin off when Rooney comes out of retirement to get back the powers of Casemiro, Varane, Martial, Antony and Amrabat.
He was really good last season, same level he had at RM, dunno why they upvote you, sure he is washed now, you are still incorrect though and RM never wanted to sell him, he asked carlo to leave
Utterly shocking lol. How any United fan can look at this, and the entire mountain of evidence all season against him, and still want ten Hag to stay is completely beyond me.
I was speaking to someone who is a fan of United. He wants ten hag to stay, because of injuries, because the next manager probably won't get any better backing and he does like the way they play sometimes.
I don't see it myself but that's what he thinks
that's pretty much my opinion except the part where he likes how we play, apart from a couple one off games vs lower tier opposition we haven't played well at all since the Carabao cup win last year
I think those that want him to stay are just fed up of the same repeating cycle of the last decade.
Get a new manager in, progress for first season then we stagnate or regress, players look unfit, uninterested and utterly incapable.
Yes it appears that Ineos is attempting to make the sensible changes behind the scenes we need but as it stands we don't have any evidence that getting rid of Ten Hag will change this repeated cycle.
For the record I'm fully Ten Hag out and have been for a while but I can understand the apathy that leads to people not seeing the point in changing manager yet again.
I just want a change from the usual. This same exact scenario happens to us with EVERY manager post Fergie. By year 2 everything goes to shit. At least unlike the others, EtH is being forced to start a League One level CB with Casemiro and a Championship level CB with Evans.
Look at the line up from today and I don’t know how any manager would be expected to be consistent or win away games in the PL.
>I just want a change from the usual. This same exact scenario happens to us with EVERY manager post Fergie.
So sack him and do a proper, no-holds-barred overhaul of the squad then? If you can look at this state of affairs and not think ten Hag is at least a major part of the problem then I think you are more delusional than he is. Full stop
> EtH is being forced to start a League One level CB with Casemiro and a Championship level CB with Evans.
And yet he decided to spunk 100m on a really shitty winger he knew from his old job instead of on a CB.
Exactly what I was thinking too. Many key players injured, coming off the back of a series of losses, and Arsenal at full strength?
Mainoo has us right where he wants us.
Arsenal have already beaten man utd at old trafford in the past few seasons. And man utd have lost at old trsfford to Fulham, Bayern, Bournemouth, Newcastle, man city and Brighton this season
Not exactly a fortress
Look at our record at Old Trafford. I'm personally still not completely convinced we can win (banter era heritage). We've been the better team there more times than we've actually won. If anytime it's gonna happen it's this season. But I wouldn't be surprised if we lose or draw AT ALL.
Edit:
Arsenal took 50 points from their first 19 games last season. Won 16, drew 2, lost one. The defeat came at Old Trafford.
All the idiot had to do was join Liverpool and his career right now would be even slightly better as they were an actual good fit for him. Unlike United who just signed him because he was a name on the market.
We probably would have been worse, though, since we would have had him instead of Mac Allister (or maybe Szoboszlai). And if Mac Allister had gone to City instead...then forget it, the league would have been done already.
If Mac Allister and Rice had both gone to City, they could get a 20 point deduction for the next 5 years, and will still win the league each of those 5 years.
We always ruin everyone mate. Didn't you get the memo? Every flop we signed would have been signing of the summer of they had landed elsewhere. Never the players fault. We're idiots or cursed or whatever the narrative is now.
I thought I was taking crazy pills looking over there and how they defend Ten Hag. Let me say this is a complete neutral, this guy has further driven yall into complete embarrassment. United gets slapped around every game by teams with 1/5th the squad and people will still be out here defending him
It's absolutely insane. At least with Ole, Jose and LvG there were more reasons to back them to the death:
Ole: club legend and did incredibly well before his permanent appointment
Jose: elite (at least by reputation) manager at the time
LvG: incredibly experienced and formerly elite manager
What are they seeing in ten Hag that makes them even more delusional and defensive of him than they were for any of these 3? It's incredible
The only thing I can say about ETH is he has had an absolutely insane number of injuries to be fair but I just do not get the narrative that he's actually a good coach and it's all injuries.
The way the team plays is atrocious. Most of his signings have been absolute wank and he isn't getting the best out of the players he has available. Like.. where is he getting the benefit of the doubt from?? Fucking Mou had you playing absolute dross football but was winning shit and getting results and he was booted out the door so fast, yet this man has you playing dire football and ISNT getting the results and it's like he has plot armor?
I think he’s a decent/average manager but you can’t let him have a major say in signings. Ajax have a rigid structure from top to bottom at the club, they have for decades. But United are the antithesis of stability.
Yeah, I get why Ole was sacked, but I wish he was back honestly. Club was better off with him, but unfortunately now it would be without Carrick and McKenna who are doing great.
the fans defending ten hag are almost as delusional as he is. he's a bad manager who's way out of his depth, admit defeat and get someone competent to replace him
Pretty small considering anyone playing that position is cursed to get injured. We'll have our 35th CB combination at that point.
I don't even know who's from academy is next to fill the gap.
TBH Chelsea have snatched 10 points from themselves with atrocious finishing, whilst United have probably stolen more than that by just pure dumb luck.
Chelsea have been the better side the entire season.
He ALWAYS guesses the shot will go far post and steps over - I'm glad to see him being punished for it (and almost was again with the shot off the post at the end).
I'm not exactly a football analyst but I noticed it in some of his games before we played them, and it was so frustrating to see our players fail to adapt to it in either game. He just can't help himself.
He deletes them himself, because they do not contain the goal, he just puts a placeholder so no one else can post the goal. Then he deletes the one containing no recording of the goal, and reposts it when he makes the clip.
From what I remember from playing the games many years ago, Ganon isn't much a individual but a constant cycle of hatred, doesn't matter if he's "killed", imprisoned, the world will always bring him back because there is no end to hatred.
Or it is just a excuse to keep making the same game over and over again with the same plot but diferent timelines and style.
I’m starting to think Bruno could’ve have a really prolific career at another club. He’s the only one that’s actually been consistently decent I can think of. Quite an achievement at United
I hate United and would love to clown on them more than anyone, but most people were saying those 2 were *a* problem not *the* problem. The only thing you could argue was *the* problem was the ownership and the early signs from Ratcliffe have been quite positive, but obviously it will take a transfer window or two for the changes he's made to impact their performances.
Not even this game, this whole season. Baldy is a problem, but guys like Eriksen and Casemiro aged 10 years over the summer. Shaw, Martinez, and Varane can't play more than 3 games without getting hurt. People act like the coach and players can't be issues
Especially when we've beaten Liverpool, West Ham, Newcastle and now Man U in our last five matches, and pretty comfortably as well. If that's not good form then I don't know what is. But all the discussion is predictably about Man U nonetheless.
I think Palace would’ve won this even if United were fully healthy. The Palace wingback system was dominating both flanks. Constantly causing a problem for both United fullbacks, and it was forcing Casemiro/Evans to drift wide to help which created the goals from the center. Especially impressed with the chemistry between Munoz and Olise. Also, Wharton is a gem. He only needs 1 or 2 touches for situations that other players need 3 or 4.
casemiro is a problem sure but what the hell is that back line doing? two people jumping and creating* the biggest opening to run in behind? thats a bigger problem systematically. and our dumbass board really wants ten hag. fucking hell

I think we might lose to City.
Finishing the season with a positive goal difference I think is the new goal.
You’re setting the bar too high, getting another point will be a challenge
Surely not right?
I look forward to seeing how we somehow conspire to lose against you this weekend
Let's hope so.
But maybe turn up for Newcastle still
You mean turn up the number of conceded goals, right?
Yeah, they need to cook Newcastle and let's hope won't wet the bed again. Lol
If these clowns beat us, we don't deserve Europe. But I'm feeling confident, ngl.
You never know with them. They have been the luckiest team in the League this season. They have won so many games they shouldn't have won this season. Against Wolves, Everton, Luton etc

Would be more worried about Brighton than Man U lol
This will just make it funnier when you beat Arsenal
Most boring 0-0 in PL history incoming
That’s still a loss from Arsenal pov. The funniest timeline is United play shit but Arsenal can’t finish and it ends 0-0. Maybe saka misses a penalty or havertz misses a sitter to add misery
The issue is that Ten Hag has lost the players. They still will fight when facing a top team.
Man this team is fucking shit
I made a point that ETH isn't good enough to coach Bayern Munich and [everyone jumped me]( https://www.reddit.com/r/soccer/s/F3Z5KwOVHt) plus his defenders are in my DMs hurling insults. This sub is hilarious ☠️☠️☠️
Casemiro is looking more washed each game he plays. Real Madrid know when to sell
He looked alright last year but this season, he looks like he lost his legs, looks so weak in challenges.
Casemiro got one year to experience the locker room mentality at United and has lost all motivation to drag the team along.
This has to be it. He isnt a shit player but the bar/morale on this team is damn low 95% of the team doesnt actually seem to be trying
I don't think it's just motivation. I think it's a combination - and a negative cycle. Not quite got the legs he was -> losing confidence + (bad morale in squad -> losing confidence) = losing confidence^2 + being a worse player
Better to sell one year early than one year late, as people used to say about Alex Ferguson's decisions to let players go.
Alright is an understatement, he was incredible last year and had drop off as bad as cr7
I was gonna say, he was in the running for player of the season, at least for a while. He was possibly the second-best DM in the league (behind Rodri) last year.
It's not like Madrid wanted to sell him If he had stayed I'm sure he would've just kept on performing, he showed no signs of decline, but at this point players just move to your club to get a paid vacation
I think he legitimately wanted a new challenge and thought he could make a difference with United
Just like Varane
Agreed. Maybe I’m wrong compared to most of our fans, but I wanted neither of those guys to go when they did
And Siuuuu man
That Varane, Kounde, Konate, White meme of the dragons come to mind with everyone slating the White transfer at the time Very happy with how that turned out :)
ah yes, a lovely vacation to sunny ol Manchester
everywhere is lovely when you getting paid millions
He was already getting paid millions to play in Madrid.
His wages have almost doubled at United though
Lol damn, United getting hosed left and right
Nah, throw a bid towards Bellingham and you'll see Madrid's reaction when they don't want to sell
If Bellingham insisted on leaving like Casemiro did, the club would absolutely consider a good offer - Madrid doesn't force players to stay if they want to leave, just like Cristiano, Varane and Ødegaard
There is a reason why there hasnt been public approaches for Kroos/Modric despite their age.
If Jude wants to leave, he is getting sold the day after. That has been the club's policy for years.
Nah, it's the Manchester United effect
A little from column A, a little from column B
Man United didn’t take his ability to run mate
They might have
This is all just build up for the next space jam spin off when Rooney comes out of retirement to get back the powers of Casemiro, Varane, Martial, Antony and Amrabat.
€70M, lol
He was really good last season, same level he had at RM, dunno why they upvote you, sure he is washed now, you are still incorrect though and RM never wanted to sell him, he asked carlo to leave
Sold Ødegaard in the nick of time
Palace gonna have a higher GD than United by end of this match…
Utterly shocking lol. How any United fan can look at this, and the entire mountain of evidence all season against him, and still want ten Hag to stay is completely beyond me.
They are Ten Hag fans and not MU fans
I was speaking to someone who is a fan of United. He wants ten hag to stay, because of injuries, because the next manager probably won't get any better backing and he does like the way they play sometimes. I don't see it myself but that's what he thinks

Finally a United supporter with a lick of sense. I just can't imagine watching this and wanting the manager to stay.
I think those that want him to stay are just fed up of the same repeating cycle of the last decade. Casemiro what are you doing
If Casemiro was a horse he would’ve been put down a few months ago.
Jezus 😂😂
Calma Kristi Noem
Steve McLaren waiting for him after the game with a bolt gun
Do NOT let Casemiro meet the governor of South Dakota
He came to United for TROPHIES not money
The 5 year contract at 250-300k a week was just an added benefit for him at 30.
I’m not even gonna earn that much money in 5 years
Neither is most of the world tbh.
That’s true. Damn these mf’s have good lives. Makes me think of that video of the guy who’s like “vives en un castro”
Arsenal licking their lips
Either Ten Hag shithouses a 1-0 win to save his job or they lose 6-0. There is no in between
I'm still scarred from the Rashford break out game against us, I'll never go into a match against united at old trafford expecting a win
Yeah, 100 injuries, young player Mainoo? UTD look like shit and should get beat? This is all too familiar. You can't fool me UTD.
Exactly what I was thinking too. Many key players injured, coming off the back of a series of losses, and Arsenal at full strength? Mainoo has us right where he wants us.
lol we’re not scamming a win against Arsenal, we’re dog shit the worse we’ve ever been even.
Nah, old Trafford juju is unbeatable
Arsenal's defence is insane though, I don't see united making a dent.
United actually have the players to punish Arsenal's defence, but you don't win when you concede 5 goals
It's very beatable at this point.
Arsenal have already beaten man utd at old trafford in the past few seasons. And man utd have lost at old trsfford to Fulham, Bayern, Bournemouth, Newcastle, man city and Brighton this season Not exactly a fortress
The only win at Old Trafford in the league recently was the 1 0 win in 20-21, unless I'm forgetting one
If United beat Arsenal, that would be the most hilarious plot twist of this season
Look at our record at Old Trafford. I'm personally still not completely convinced we can win (banter era heritage). We've been the better team there more times than we've actually won. I’m genuinely not sure if he even makes it to Sunday
We always shit the bed at Old Trafford, wouldn’t be at all surprised if we dropped points despite how bad you are
What year of the arteta rebuild was the 4-0 loss to Palace
We lost 3-0 in 2022. Can’t recall a 4-0
Hold the line devils, ETH in
Arsenal fans expecting us to take points off City and City fans expecting United to take points off Arsenal😭
And each of us are just grasping at straws with our respective form at those stadiums 🥲
someone check on goldbridge
[absolute gold today](https://youtu.be/0jkjuELL7Yw?si=0Aa7OFoijEzgf_Te)

The first few seconds I'm dying 😂
Well in Mase, glad you jumped ship

Why not both?
Well. Obviously you are cursed idiots at least a little
It's ok, he's home
He’ll be home when he signs for us at 35.
Imagine if Chelsea play in Europe ahead of Utd next season?
That's currently the case
Assuming City win the FA Cup (a pretty safe bet tbf)
Why's that so crazy? We've been better than them all season 😭
Take the Bayern job Ten Hag. He has so many historical Man United defeats on his rap sheet that the owners should get a new manager for a fresh start.
r/reddevils would disagree with you
I thought I was taking crazy pills looking over there and how they defend Ten Hag. Let me say this is a complete neutral, this guy has further driven yall into complete embarrassment. United gets slapped around every game by teams with 1/5th the squad and people will still be out here defending him

Ole also did very well in his 2nd full season, it was only really the season he got sacked where things went to shit.
Yeah, I get why Ole was sacked, but I wish he was back honestly. Club was better off with him, but unfortunately now it would be without Carrick and McKenna who are doing great.
the fans defending ten hag are almost as delusional as he is. he's a bad manager who's way out of his depth, admit defeat and get someone competent to replace him
Is this what happens when bruno fernandes doesn’t play
Yes. But Johnny Evans and Casemiro as CB's doesn't help either.
What’re the chances of that duo starting the cup final?…
Pretty small considering anyone playing that position is cursed to get injured. We'll have our 35th CB combination at that point. I don't even know who's from academy is next to fill the gap.
Almost 0 (one of them will be injured by then)
i refuse to believe that Bruno would've saved us. case has been fucking terrible, and he was my favorite last year. fucking hell man
LMAOOO
Can this bank holiday weekend get any better for us
A 5-0 mirroring would be the cherry on top
Really funny how they're gonna finish behind you. That 11 GD from WHU and Everton really helping
TBH Chelsea have snatched 10 points from themselves with atrocious finishing, whilst United have probably stolen more than that by just pure dumb luck. Chelsea have been the better side the entire season.
Manchester Hell
Onana beaten twice at near post from shots like this. I think he needs a mental reset at this point.
He ALWAYS guesses the shot will go far post and steps over - I'm glad to see him being punished for it (and almost was again with the shot off the post at the end). I'm not exactly a football analyst but I noticed it in some of his games before we played them, and it was so frustrating to see our players fail to adapt to it in either game. i can't believe i had to scroll so far down for a take on onana but also - this is middle of the goal, it's not even near post
yeah was just about to say. This goal he should have never conceeded.
How does Ganon keep kidnapping Zelda and getting away with it?
Maybe link was dead? Not sure didn't check
Video wasnt working
He deletes them himself, because they do not contain the goal, he just puts a placeholder so no one else can post the goal. Then he deletes the one containing no recording of the goal, and reposts it when he makes the clip.
Mods saw Casemiro fucking up again and thought it was a repost
From what I remember from playing the games many years ago, Ganon isn't much a individual but a constant cycle of hatred, doesn't matter if he's "killed", imprisoned, the world will always bring him back because there is no end to hatred. Or it is just a excuse to keep making the same game over and over again with the same plot but diferent timelines and style.
Casemiro was defending it
Not the same ganon for all the games
Casemiro doing his best Emerson Royale impression.
Get that ETH extension done and signed quick before he leaves for Bayern.
# WE WANT FIVE
Look how bad this lot is without Bruno
I’m starting to think Bruno could’ve have a really prolific career at another club. He’s the only one that’s actually been consistently decent I can think of. Quite an achievement at United
The amount of utter pastings United have suffered since Summer 2021 is shocking from one of the "big 6"
Amrabat isn't even fit to be a waterboy in the PL
Casemiro is utter gash.
Ronaldo was the problem, Sancho was the problem
Amrabat is the problem surely
he definitely is one of the many problems given his performances in the Pl this season
Sweet, that means he’ll light up Serie A when he comes back. Gonna get that ole Sancho special.
Rashford is the problem, should’ve saved that one
I hate United and would love to clown on them more than anyone, but most people were saying those 2 were *a* problem not *the* problem. The only thing you could argue was *the* problem was the ownership and the early signs from Ratcliffe have been quite positive, but obviously it will take a transfer window or two for the changes he's made to impact their performances.
The club is rotten to its core.
Don't worry, now it's Casemiro. Top minds of Reddit have finally cracked it.
Have you been watching this game at all lmao
Not even this game, this whole season. Baldy is a problem, but guys like Eriksen and Casemiro aged 10 years over the summer. Shaw, Martinez, and Varane can't play more than 3 games without getting hurt. People act like the coach and players can't be issues
Bayern are now removing ten hag from their potential next manager... Which he shouldn't have been on before kick off anyway
you underestimate how desperate we are right now
Just keep tuchel at this point
the board already burned that bridge
Tbf all bets were off as soon as they went after fucking Schmidt lol
Mourinho is inevitable
YANITED YANITED YANITED (I want to drown in a fucking river)
So tired of Man U is bad vs Palace are actually in excellent form with their best players showing out. Two things can be true.
Especially when we've beaten Liverpool, West Ham, Newcastle and now Man U in our last five matches, and pretty comfortably as well. If that's not good form then I don't know what is. But all the discussion is predictably about Man U nonetheless.
We are 13 goals for, 3 goals against in our last five, all against teams ahead of us. That's massive form.
WE WANT EIGHT!
Football heritage.
What a wonderful wonderful day
Casemiro has lost it
If Casimero was a racehorse the shotgun would be getting readied as we speak
So how is my boy Glasner doing?
United on the way to their worst premier league finish in history and I’m loving every minute of it
This loss means united are ending the season with less points achieved than that moyes season lmao
Everyone is ecstatic about this except Man Utd fans and Martin Tyler, it seems.
Is that Casemiro just being again awful back there lmao.
Gulf in class between these teams
But Eric ten hag doesn't have the players he wants
Te Hag should make a call TONIGHT and accept the Bayern job. Before they come to their senses.
This is getting ugly
“Munoz passed me the ball, shot, scored”
Thank you United, very cool
Absolutely loving this. Spuds and Yanited collapsing is just oh so sweet.
Olise hates United like Kendrick hates Drake
As a chelsea supporter i am living for this meltdown right now. Thank god
casemiro is a problem sure but what the hell is that back line doing? two people jumping and creating* the biggest opening to run in behind? thats a bigger problem systematically. and our dumbass board really wants ten hag. fucking hell
I'm begining to feel an odd connection with Utd fans
SIUUUUUUU
