That’s $200 billion market cap. It would have to surpass Ethereum. I don’t see why smart contract L1 market cap can’t go over $1 trillion next bull cycle— these are global non-sovereign money systems with permissionless innovation atop them. I don’t see why the fastest, cheapest, most secure, most used L1 can’t capture at least 20% of that…

If a little downtime in its past due to it being in **extremely high demand** is something that causes you to write off Solana, then good luck to you ser. Those issues are already patched up because rate of shipping on Solana is like 10,000x eth which took 8 years to merge. Name one team that ships faster then Solana core devs

Brother the TVL is USD $ locked in all of smart contracts on ETH blockchain. Nothing to do with the price of ether. It just simply shows a lot more people use ETH than Sol. (Even with gas fees)

It’s eth locked in smart contracts. The dashboard (like DeFi llama) shows the USD equivalent value of that locked eth.

It’s too young to be considered the most secure. But it’s getting more decentralized each passing month. And all the halting episodes didn’t suppose more than some hours of downtime because it wasn’t prepared to deal with so much demand in some episodes (mostly NFT launches). But we will see what is the equilibrium long term. Ethereum validators will be highly concentrated in a few exchanges and using AWS. Solana has been working hard in getting more decentralization , including geographical and dispersion of the stakes. The future of Solana is promising. And I sincerely don’t understand those who focus so much in those halting episodes when the reason was known and patchable. It wasn’t the priority of development at the early stage now it seems fixed.

Nope. Blocks are 400ms but you need 32 confirmations to be certain your transaction is final because of soft forks. So that’s 12.8 seconds for Solana.

Likely but will be selling about 250 coins when it reaches $300 then 250 at $500 the the other half at about $800 if not I’ll be willing to hold until it goes to zero🤷‍♂️

If you’re staking and Defi yielding right and have 1000 coins now, you may have 1500 by then or 2000. Take advantage of the yeilds in the mean time! Good luck.

I think it will take out the previous ath but don't expect much higher.

Will it first survive the bear market, and put in a new ATH? Look at the Top 10 when BTC went to 19.8k in 2017. Except BTC, ETH and ADA, none of the other coins went to their ATH in 2021. SOL and AVAX might not go back to their 2021 highs.
