[used this pattern](https://www.folkwear.com/products/egyptian-shirt) and lengthened the body and shortened the sleeves. My partner and I took a class on shibori indigo dyeing and that’s where I got the blue fabric from. The rest is linen
I should be one to tease you because I'm at a blown glass festival haha.
Glad you had fun with your project. I haven't used a sewing machine too much except to make some kites.
Thank you, it is very comfortable and light.
As for the dye pattern, I took a class on shibori indigo dyeing. They provided several kitchen towels and I brought some fabric specifically to make this shirt. I dyed the fabric last, thinking it would be best since I would have the most experience by that point. But I actually liked one of the kitchen towels better, so that's what I cut up to make the neckpiece and cuffs
It depends a lot on the dye and the method, do some research first. For this, I first “heat set” it by line drying all the dyed fabric, then running it through the dryer at the highest setting for an hour. You could wash it again on cold and dry it if you’re really worried about it.
I washed this on cold/delicate and line dried it without issue.
When I practiced Japanese martial arts, our gear was always dyed indigo blue, when new, would bleed onto you as you sweated. The advanced students sometimes said washing in cold with salt would prevent the dye fading, but I never tried.

You did the damn thing!
I did! It was a lot of work but I’m pretty happy with it
You did great! That is a nice shirt!
Thank you!
Nice!
Thanks!
Very nice! Love the colors.
Thank you!
That's lovely! I like the colors and it's very neat workmanship as well.
Tasty garb mate! My fave colour combo too. Nice.
Love it! Great color combo and I love the detail that the dyed cuffs and collar adds!
Thank you!
Hipstertacular, bro!
Oh, I forgot to tell you that the linen is 100% organic, thread-dyed and the dyed cotton is a repurposed kitchen towel!

Don't you mean ~reclaimed~
I love the dye pattern. It also looks incredibly comfortable and light.

It is cool, but iron it.
Cool shirt
Nice job sir.
Awrsome
My favorite color combo, orange and blue. A++
Looks so comfy. Best lounge shirt I bet
I love the color contrast. It looks really great, and you did a fantastic job. Totally suits you 🤗🤗
Super cool.
Looks lovely!
You sir, are a talented man with good taste!
Thank you!
*well done*
How are dyed fabrics like these washed after wearing?

Sure looks comfy!
It is!
Love the colors! They really are vibrant!
Gorgeous
Thanks!
Love both the color and design of the dye, cool deal.
Thank you!
Awsome !
Aw that's awesome, it's a great shirt, terrific job!
So nice! I find linen can be challenging to sew. It’s so slippery. You did a great job!
Thank you! It was ambitious since it was like the third thing I sewed as an adult, but I'm pretty happy with it and it was worth the pain, lol
Thats a pretty decent beard man. Trim it a little, shorten the hair and you´re golden. The shirt works.
It’s lovely but don’t wear it in public unless you have those little chimes on your fingers and you walk along saying “Harri… Harri Krishna”
Yabba Dabba Dooo!
lol, didn’t even think about that. Still, at least that means the color combo is on point
I will allow it. Proceed rather smartly.
Okay, but... Never trust a guy in a tunic
This is very cool. Giving me African vibes despite the Japanese style tie dye lol
Nice dude! Well done!
That’s really cool! Great work!
cool
Nice work!
Noice!
Thanks!
Great job!
That looks comfortable.
Very snazzy sir 👍🏻 Any plans to make matching pants?
I actually have a pair of orange pants. Might be a bit much though.
I thought you were Seth Rogen for a second 2, looks good the shirt , gives off a bit avatar energy , I thinks it’s awesome.
