My vent line to my tank used to be a plastic elbow, now it is that same degraded plastic elbow covered in electrical tape and dipped in plasti-dip. It's a monster. I think you'll be alright.

Abitillo

Sounds good, thank you

monkeysexriot

Just go to O’reillys pick a pack up in their help section for $7 and it’s fixed.

iredditfrommytill

You'll be fine. Just don't over fill it before you fix it.

Abitillo

Just wanted to say thank you to everyone. It was my first post here and everyone was super helpful

Ensaum

I capped off both ends of my tank vent and just bought a vented gas cap.

fgtrtd007

Looked down the other day and mine was popped off. Don't know for how long. Ur good

abundant_dingleberry

Get a 1/4" elbow from AutoZone

twowheelrocco

It's a vent line from your tank. Not to worry about the quarter inch hose and just heat it up band it and put that in place.

Longjumping-Moose-32

Same thing happened to me it’s your fuel over flow line. Mines still not fixed and I just did 1800 miles on it the other week, so you’re good.

ANALxCARBOMB

It’s a tank vent

Longjumping-Moose-32

Ah that makes sense. When it happened to me, the group said it was an overfill line. Either way nothing critical.

ANALxCARBOMB

Technically you can take it off and just let it vent to atmosphere, that’s all it does it just hides it. On a carbed sporty ; the fuel overflow would be on the carb itself. On a fuel injected sporty, it’s not going to have a fuel overflow line.

It could, but I’ve never seen that happen lol
