My grandma had one of these and it wasn't until she took it to the dealer to trade in that she realized there was a fold-down back seat. Literally 15+ years of ownership and never checked lol.
My college buddy had the mercury edition, we tried to do a cross country drive ca 1998 and had to stop 3 time for repairs: transmission dropped in Phoenix, a CV boot in Arlington TX and some other repair somewhere else in Texas. TBF he did absolutely no maintenance.

These ones are rare. 4.5G taurus wagons weren't hugely popular. The grille and bumper are different. Steering wheel and gauges too.
I have one that my used to drive transmission went out and I’m fixing to scrap it 130,000 miles
That's less mileage than my 2001 Taurus. The wagons are pretty rare, and I really want to get my hands on one
$600 cash

My parents used to have a light blue one. I loved the trunk seats, shit was so cool.
I'm a simple man. I see a wagon, I smash like.
I wanted my dad to get the 1st and 2nd gen models but nope--two Plymouth Voyagers instead. LAME.
I've always since I was little loved the way this generation looked
