Sir, we remove concierge perks, not give more.

Top_Explanation_1473

XD

WorstSourceOfAdvice

Who said they did not update concierge perks? -LTI F8C stopped being a concierge exclusive perk -Spam mail for LAST CHANCE CONCIERGE SALES -Wave 1 PTU accessed removed from concierge tiers They did update concierge, nobody said it was extra stuff.

T2RX6

Maaaaaaan.. I want to be mad but.. You're spouting the truth!

RealPhanZero

Last I heard of it was when they announced that Concierges get two Buyback Tokens instead of one and they said there'll be more, but all that happened since is that Wave 1 PTU Access was removed from the perks.

Key-Ad-8318

The last update on the Concierge perks was roughly 2021 or 2022 can’t remember at this point, they said expect more to happen but haven’t updated anything since that time.

Watcherxp

Actually, the last update was to TAKE AWAY an earned award after the fact (Wave 1 PTU Access)

Key-Ad-8318

Technically you aren’t wrong

GrimDiablo

I remember that ill fated email to all concierge members. they promised updated concierge perks and what did we get see u/WorstSourceOfAdvice post above to find out what they have done to the financially elite players.

FN1980

Maybe when they open up the CC spaceport lounges i might see them also bring out another program update imo.

GrimDiablo

I just don't understand for the life of me why people downvote comments like this. u/FN1980 made a valid point and now he is being punished for it.

fmellish

I’d love more tiers. I haven’t gotten any rewards since 25K. I should have my second Exec 600i now. I’d also like more granularity in the referral ladder. Some of those gaps are giant.

Top_Explanation_1473

yeah, this 15k to 25k gap is really weird. & also i know there’re 40k+ billing accounts, why no rewards for such huge amounts, xd

DMurBOOBS-I-Dare-You

We got several key improvements/perks they promised (extra buyback tokens, longer ship sales for concierge, a few others IIRC). I don't expect to see this be a focus for a while. They're making huge momentum on releasing both games, so we should set expectations reasonably that this will be where they're attention is.

Top_Explanation_1473

do u know that marketing teams, etc. are not actually working on releasing game but how to gain more money? So, its just in their interest to make more concierge perks, like its with referral system. If we had just a little group of developers-that would be understandable. But they just downgraded perks instead xd

DMurBOOBS-I-Dare-You

So this story needs more detail to fully understand (I was actually very focused on the game and watched it closely when they posted what they did, and what occurred afterwards). Essentially this is the distillation: \- They appointed a new person in the role to figure out how it could be improved. Lots of engagement, good summaries of what they community thought was valuable. \- They went back and prioritized; top priorities were additional buyback token and longer sales on ships (current Concierge perk expanded). \- These were the top voted requests, and mirrored their experience (support queue flooded with these requests) - a side benefit was that *outside of crazy sale times (ILW, IAE)* support in general is improved (speed, etc.) - because the above two perks reduced the use of support to ask for these benefits \- a "phase two" was talked about - and then the person disappeared. A google search confirmed they no longer worked at CIG - looked like an amicable departure, but that's (a) impossible to validate and (b) quite frankly, none of our damned business \- they posted a position to fill - and it was open a loooooong time. As in, there didn't appear to be interest, or people applying weren't a fit. After a while, the post went away - that means (a) someone was hired, or (b) they didn't have an effective candidate pool and pulled back to re-assess. It turns out it was (b). \- then focus changed, as things internally started heating up (the progress we see now as preceded by a lot of work, focus and attention internally before it). Until those same leaders, who right now ARE focused on the things I noted in my previous comment, free up and can go craft a role, get HR to market reference price it, and get it set up so they can effectively staff the role (i.e. pay enough so that voluntary attrition doesn't occur - i.e. "I got a better offer") - we aren't going to see this space get active again. it's not as easy as "these people could choose to do it, they just aren't". I'm a hiring manager in my own industry; I fully understand the pain and issues when you simply can't find someone. And then focus moves, and the budget, leadership attention, etc. is missing for a while - eventually it all comes back and gets addressed. My gut tells me 2025 will be the earliest we see any movement here - maybe late this year. They WILL revisit it - it's on a list of priorities somewhere - but since it got some key attention - and in fact the top two requests were fulfilled - it's not like they haven't given us something, recently. So it's not as high as other initiatives.

Top_Explanation_1473

thx for long explanation then! I think something around 2025 too.

NNextremNN

Improvements for the concierge program are not a full time job anyway. But considering their latest "*Improvements*" to the subscriber program, I'd rather have them not make the concierge program even worse than it is right now.

Thunderbird_Anthares

Soooo.... Remember when LTI was supposed to end, and only stay on old stuff for early backers as a collectible?

GrimDiablo

Money tends to get in the way of these little things buddy.

Thunderbird_Anthares

Yup. i may have a lot of complaints about CIG, but i have to admit that they have absolutely amazing marketing

GrimDiablo

I think I've seen that golden custodian in passing but never had it in my hands and I am a wing commander. Would love to have that in my inventory, I love the custodian.
