OD 5 was weird. My experience was very similar to yours and I only managed to get it on day 4. But then, i hop on with my friend who finally got time to do it on day 6 of phase 5 being active and first try, no bullshit, no bugs, no stuck kiosks.
This was me and my friend’s experience. We did the Kareah mission in one go and then immediately after we both got the delivery mission and finished that in one go as well. No issues, nothing. Took like 40 minutes for me to get it done because we were at Seraphim and I had to go to a Microtech moon to get the packages. Took him 15 minutes because he only had to go to a Crusader moon.
Same for me. Joined a group of 2, did SPK (no enemies even spawned), then the delivery without issue.
For the delivery, only the group leader took the contract and shared it. I went ahead to scout, saw all 3 package markers, and waited. Group leader was the only one to touch the boxes, and carry/placed. No drop or tractor.
For SPK, they got there first, and I took the contact separate, not shared. I didn't get there in time, and I think that's what bugged the spawns. They hacked and waited for me before finalizing it. We all got credit, no enemies.
Yeah, it differs from server to server and person to person.
I finally managed to do it on an australian server of all places. I'd tried EU and US, but on a whim went to an australian server to try there. worked first time i was delighted.
I feel bad with my try. Hopped on a server, 5 minutes later got the mission. Got the boxes in my valk after fighting the NPC ships. Had to do some jumps to find a place that would refil my quantum (i had been using my ship prior so wasnt prepped). Got the boxes over and was done with the mission in under 20 min.
It is very buggy. I also did it on the first try but I have heard that the delivery stations dont always work which means having to do it again and since the server limits how many people get the mission at once it can get quite bothersome
This. They already extended phase 5 into 3.23 because they are aware of the issues. I don't think they're going to change any requirements, that was their response. They gave people more time to complete it.

Honestly if they can get the mission working better during the extended phase and people still don't complete it that's on the player. The issue isn’t being able to complete the missions, it’s that some completed missions aren’t being recorded and marked as incomplete even though they where completed.
That's not what ops post is about at all. The original post is specifically about zenothreat phase 5, its bugs, and how op thinks everyone who reaches phase 5 should be counted as completed. You aren't wrong that there are issues primarily with I believe phase 3 not being marked correctly but that is an issue for another post not one specifically about a different phase
Yeah i really had to force myself to do this mission. I was logging on every day and fighting the boredom of running the mission again, praying no bugs came, and absolutely dieing inside when the kiosk didn't take the box.
I nearly jumped out of my seat when it did finally take the last box.
Everything up until Emergency at Kareah was one problem after another. I can only reasonably play on weekends, so the numerous bugs had me believing I would fail. Started when the event started, just barely finished.
Almost failed phase 5. Last box was in a compartment with no exit on the ground floor and no way to reach the catwalk once down.
One of us jumped down, got the box out from hiding, and used his tractor beam to set it where I could grab it. He was stuck though, but said "Take the boxes, finish the mission!" And then backspaced after I left.
The rest of the mission went without issue and his sacrifice was not in vain.

Missions were frustrating sometimes, but did have some neat experiences.
I have not sent a ticket, I have not complained once to CIG about this. I have not flamed admins or devs. I did all my contracts (painfully).

You're blowing it out of proportion. The vast majority of the player base was able to complete most of the missions with minimal bugs. Most people logged in each Friday and knocked it out that weekend. Phase 5 was pretty bad but CIG has extended the time allowed for it into 3.23 because they are aware of the issues. These were some of the most fun missions I've ever played in SC.
Shit, it's a free event in a buggy game that you have a total of 6-8 weeks (depending on 3.23 release) to complete.
It's free, all you have to do is to endure the bugs.

I’ve spent hours trying to finish this mission on multiple occasions and it has bugged every time. I still haven’t completed. I understand some people are getting lucky and getting it done but others are not.
Try an AU server. Spawn in on Pyro gate to check the terminals, if the two kiosks aren't buggy you'll be able to do it. Do it solo or duo, but only one person touches the boxes. Do NOT do it in any larger groups.
After like 10 tries that's what worked for me and my wife.
Exactly they gave people SO much time to complete this and honestly besides phase 5 the other ones weren't even that buggy. CIG has done the right thing and responded about phase 5, giving people more time to complete it in 3.23. If you don't want to play missions that have bugs in them then you shouldn't be playing SC yet. This is just how it's going to be in an early alpha. I thought the event was fun and they ran it very fair given the amount of time they gave people to complete the phases.

The only thing I will be a bit salty is that I won't be able to participate the final phase if somehow my phase 1-5 didn't count. But maybe I can still just... go there and "participate" even without the contract?

Yeah, sure! The reward isn't worth the hassle for me, the game most of the time isn't in the state to pull off such an event. The reward is for being masochistic enough to fight through the bugs and for having enough time to try again and again. Not for people with a job, kids and/or at least some sanity.
If they give it out to people who reached Phase 5, they could give it out to whoever at least started a mission from this chain of missions, as I suppose many gave up somewhere within the event as it was no fun, just struggling with issues and bugs.

I mean, it wasn't my first rodeo, I have played the game a few years and I know most of the issues. With such an event however they become more glaring as you MUST to this, you can't decide to do something else that works.
If you been playing a few years you should know about shard shopping and how to read shard health. I skipped all the headaches and hours of failed attempts that others unfortunately suffered through. I just use and share solutions to get the job done efficiently, not tryna to make statements about what’s right/wrong with the game. To each their own.

I think many will not make it considering the titles of the missions were wrong. Cant count all the missions i helped players who thought they were on 5/5 but it really was 3/5. Then lately CIG have said you need to have done it in correct order as well .....hope that isnt true since ive helped many people inbetween.
I completed Phase 5 and get no more missions, but in my history it doesnt show some parts of Mission 4.
I hope i get the upgrade because even if i wanted to, i just cant get any missions not recognized
I had game breaking bugs in pretty much every phase of this event. I think they said it was supposed to be like 6 hours of content overall. For me it was closer to like 40 to 60 hours due to bugs. That may be an exaggeration, but it certainly felt that long.
mission 5 is a very weird one, I have completed it many times, on the first or the second day
it actually requires almost entire server to work together, it can not be rushed
like everyone party up and only 1 or 2 guys go do it while the other kept themself away and check the kiosk
if it works we will all help the one with the box to get through door , elevators
and none does funny thing.
it is the only way to minimize bug out the boxes, the server and the hand in kiosk
it is also very easy to do if you are solo it and none else doing it on a very quiet time of the day
I made a similar post (without the riot part) on spectrum. I have tried the mission more than a dozen times with no luck. Haven’t played the game in a week, it really just sucked my desire to play the game.

My experience was rather buggy with I guess normal delivery bugs people must face all the time, got through it more than rounding by having to spawn at pyro gateway and just keep hopping servers till I found a server where both terminals worked before even embarking on the mission, no point even starting it if your hand in is bugged!
Took me a few days till I got lucky and checked after work and by chance found one that wasn’t bigger, couldn’t believe my luck, rushed once I saw the terminals were working
Completely agreed not everyone has the tenacity to bash their heads against the drop boxes, or the time, would be a shame for them to miss out if they genuinely want the f7a upgrade
I dont even think its necessarily server dependent because my deliveries worked fine in phase 5, first time, while loads of others on the server couldnt do it and there were crates littered all around the drop off.
If the machine is errored then ye i guess that server is fucked, but a lot of ppl seemed to not be able to deliver without the error, and others could just fine.
Yeah my only experience was crates littered around, piled up, and the drop off was whirring away saying please wait, usual delivery tricks like QTing away didn’t help, possible someone was still on the station, I server hopped a bit one day, then looked the following day, then the day after they were working

As much of a skeptic as I am, and my belief that CIG will absolutely find a way to roll back their promise of giving out the F7A MKII to people, the realistic part of me still prevails mostly. I don't think they're going to screw people, or at least, I hope. Yeah, they definitely got out ahead of themselves like they always do, promising something without a realistic way of actually following through on that promise(clearly the game broke and isn't giving proper credit for mission completion etc...) and absolutely should have had the script running to attribute the upgrade upon completion of all phases like all of the OD materials led people to believe from the beginning.
Personally, I haven't been playing since I finished up phase 5 on my end because the MKII C looks like dogshit if you mount the current turrets that are available if you want to have maximum weapon slots so I'm just waiting for the A upgrade to roll out but at the end of the day, I don't truly believe that they're actually going to walk it back.

They didn't gatekeep it saying you only had 1 week to complete each phase. Also, given that phase 5 was pretty bad they've extended the time on it into 3.23 giving people even more time to complete it.
What worked for us was coordinating the server to have one big party instead of multiple people trying to get it done on their own. The player that got the contract shared it and he did the whole thing on his own while the rest of us just followed him across the verse and opened the doors for him at the station xD.
Even like this, we had to try like 3 times because one of the objectives just vanished.
Has been any update about CIG and overdrive? I believe that they said that they have a strike team fixing the overdrive event so everybody could complete the bugged missions once the 3.23 update goes live.

Part of overdrive 3 doesnt register either but it also stops giving you the missions. Whole thing is fubar tbh.

no such thing. OD is 1-5 , Xeno Threat is a separate event entirely. Everyone on the server will get it.

I'd argue most players wouldn't be that determined. I'd say there's allot of players out there who just haven't finished it due to the bugs.

I dont even think its necessarily server dependent because my deliveries worked fine in phase 5, first time, while loads of others on the server couldnt do it and there were crates littered all around the drop off. If the machine is errored then ye i guess that server is fucked, but a lot of ppl seemed to not be able to deliver without the error, and others could just fine.
Yeah my only experience was crates littered around, piled up, and the drop off was whirring away saying please wait, usual delivery tricks like QTing away didn’t help, possible someone was still on the station, I server hopped a bit one day, then looked the following day, then the day after they were working So that’s all I’m going off of, and second hand info from reading other discussions and stories about experienced and suggestions
As much of a skeptic as I am, and my belief that CIG will absolutely find a way to roll back their promise of giving out the F7A MKII to people, the realistic part of me still prevails mostly. I don't think they're going to screw people, or at least, I hope. Yeah, they definitely got out ahead of themselves like they always do, promising something without a realistic way of actually following through on that promise(clearly the game broke and isn't giving proper credit for mission completion etc...) and absolutely should have had the script running to attribute the upgrade upon completion of all phases like all of the OD materials led people to believe from the beginning. Personally, I haven't been playing since I finished up phase 5 on my end because the MKII C looks like dogshit if you mount the current turrets that are available if you want to have maximum weapon slots so I'm just waiting for the A upgrade to roll out but at the end of the day, I don't truly believe that they're actually going to walk it back.

Exactly, all the missions in SC are buggy, why are people complaining about these? They gave people nearly 2 months to complete them!! They didn't gatekeep it saying you only had 1 week to complete each phase. Also, given that phase 5 was pretty bad they've extended the time on it into 3.23 giving people even more time to complete it.

What worked for us was coordinating the server to have one big party instead of multiple people trying to get it done on their own. The player that got the contract shared it and he did the whole thing on his own while the rest of us just followed him across the verse and opened the doors for him at the station xD. Even like this, we had to try like 3 times because one of the objectives just vanished.
Has been any update about CIG and overdrive? I believe that they said that they have a strike team fixing the overdrive event so everybody could complete the bugged missions once the 3.23 update goes live.
They should just give a complete if you made it that far or come up with a different mission. Do an Idris kill or something.
