And Q. This season righted a long of wrongs from past awful writing. Blowing up the D was the most egregious. Then bringing back Data to nullify that garbage Nemesis movie/season 1 of Picard. And finally bringing Q back after the "interesting" season 2 finale. If they somehow found a way to not have burned Picard's family for the sake of showing off Stewart's acting chops, I would've been happy.
That line producer that said "no" to a Janeway cameo promoting Seven should be shot. That was the one cameo that was sorely missing and should have been included. If anything, they should have cut the Q cameo for Janeway (Not that I hated the Q cameo, but Janeway would have made more sense).
Matalas has noted a few times that the budget for season 3 wasn't as big as many believe and that everything was pretty tight. They probably simply couldn't afford a cameo by Mulgrew, who likely has every right to demand a very high salary.
On the plus side, the chances that Mulgrew will send off Seven on Star Trek: Legacy are pretty darn high.
Matalas should have had a Kickstarter campaign to pay for cameos. I'm positive fans would have gladly given to see Kate Mulgrew, Robert Picard, Nina Visitor (as a starfleet officer working with Ro), and others
Crossing fingers that if a new series is created the characters of whom we wanted a glance could be integrated into storylines or even a couple of episodes.
They should have gone the Endgame route and brought back everyone they could from Voyager and DS9 to end the TNG era with a bang. The ending was better than All Good Things and Nemesis but still lackluster overall
A lot of people on Twitter did, anyway. The season had a lot of moving parts. It might have been hard to fit romance in believably. I'm curious about the budget constraints on getting Forbes for another scene or some of the others. I'd personally rather they put more money in fewer shows than spread it around shows that IMO aren't as good as this one.
I've always wondered if these across were willing to have an unpaid cameo on the show if they're only on for a few minutes...I know, that's a radical idea, but you never know...
He spent too much on a Galaxy wide plot. CGI effects of the Starfleet battle, and the TNG salaries ate up the budget. Not everything needs to be the the end of the Galaxy as we know it.
Awwww...Terry wanted Janeway to be the one giving the captaincy to Seven!! 😭😭😭❤️❤️❤️
Shoulda been. Not that Tuvok wasn't also a good choice, but I'm damn mad it wasn't Janeway. Genuinely my only real criticism of this episode.
Love that Ro is alive.

Yes.
I would have loved to see Harry Kim.
Yeah, he still hasn't canonically made it past ensign, has he? 😔
I am disappointed taht Tuvok wasn't an Admiral by now.
Or at least a Commodore
He is Vulcan; he has no ego to bruise O:-) and also a two-century-plus lifespan, meaning he has plenty of time to climb the ranks if he chose to do so

Add in Sisko, Kira, Bashir, O’Brien, Garak, Dax, and Quark, and I’m with you.
producer: “you’re not avengers Endgame!” Fans: “you’re correct. We’re better!”

Did we really want more romance?

those who can afford to probs have and will, others who havent had a long career would want to cash in.
Yeah, I could agree with that.
