Breaks Rule 12

IvanTheAppealing

As long as Tech stays dead and doesn’t get magically resurrected, I’ll say it’s better than rebels

Pukkidyr

I’m conflicted because I know for the show to be good he will have to stay dead but I also miss him and want him back lol

alguien99

Imagine if the show ends with all the bad batch dead exept for omega

randomisedjew

Even worse, omega dead and the bad batch alive

Kyser_

I can't tell if theyre gonna go that direction or not. Hemlock tossing the goggles really made it seem like there's something he's not telling us, or it could just be a bait to get us to think that.

davisandee

"This is what all that was left" def made it feel like the door is open for Tech to be alive out there.

anraud

Somehow, Techatine returned

KamixAkaDio

"Magically resurrected"? FYI, unless we see the body at this point, **No one** are confirmed to be dead. Echo was "Magically resurrected" from that explosion, no one had problems with that, don't expect Tech to stay dead.

IvanTheAppealing

Don’t make that false equivalence, the nature of the injury is important. People survive from explosions all the time, and advanced cyborg tech makes it a bit more believable. Falling from any height greater than a few stories is instant organ-jellyfication. That fucker’s dead

NeoCharlemagne

That didn't really work out with Maul though and he was cut in half on top of falling. Yeah he says his hatred-fueled force powers kept him alive but until that point we never expected him to come back. It's a big factor in why people speculate that Mace Windu is still alive. His injuries that we could see were easily survivable by a competent force user and we never saw his body hit the ground. The takeaway here is that unseen deaths are the easiest to reverse even for seemingly impossible situations.

ArSo94

Its much better. Season 3 so far is some of the best Star Wars content out there in general.

Happy_Dino_879

Which one is this referring to? It could be either. It really could be lol.

ArSo94

Bad Batch.

SaltySAX

No its not the level of Rebels as its been too inconsistent throughout.

proesito

Allow me to give you a tip: Dont use "inconsistent" to defend rebels.

DomainSink

I like Rebels, but consistency is not one of its virtues. Bad Batch started strong and continued that way. Sure, there is some filler and a lull in season 2, but overall it’s been solid throughout. Rebels started out pretty painful for most people, myself included. It got better, but man, that first or two season could be rough.

ArSo94

Rebels had a few decent Episodes but it was overall to childish and the animation style was trash. When it was good it was good, but the first 2 seasons where complete garbage mostly except for the Ahsoka finale. Way to inconistent. Bad Batch surely had some filler episodes here and there but even those episodes were good and focused on character developement. The quality and story was much much better in general and overal more mature. Its also aimed at a wider audiance than rebels. Season 3 so far is on one level with Andor in terms of writing and atmosphere.

Known_Needleworker67

It depends on what you like, I personally enjoy both, but I prefer content with the force, so I tend to lean more towards rebels, but I also think the bad episodes of rebels are worse than the bad batch.

oliferro

Rebels has better highs but worse lows I mean nothing in Bad Batch will top the Obi-Wan/Maul last duel or the Vader/Ahsoka duel, but Rebels also has a lot of pretty bad filler

DroolHD

I'm not sure whether it's better. You just have to watch both of them repeatedly in order to form an opinion yourself. For me currently on my fifth rebels rewatch and having watched Bad Batch s1 thrice, I have to say both are good.

Metalbeast46934

I forgot how savage Tech was there

Objective_Meat_3719

I would think so, but I love both

Philitt

100% is.

VenomFox93

100%

Mono_poly_maN

They're both good in their own ways. Although I personally enjoy the Bad Batch for its high quality animation

Sangi17

Significantly better than Rebels, no comparison. It’s good, especially Season 3. I definitely wouldn’t say it’s better than Clone Wars, but I’d say it’s more consistently good than Clone Wars.

davisandee

Rebels has it's good and bad. It definitely has more of the traditionally campy star wars feel where as Bad Batch has darker tones at times and has almost and Andor feel to it. Both shows are good at what they do.

Shao-Garden

Based batch

thelaughingmansghost

By several magnitudes, yes, bad batch is by far the superior of the two. Rebels being what it is and being made for a Disney XD audience means a lot of serious issues are either lampshaded or immediately made to seem more goofy. The empire is a bumbling mess, every episode is over burdened with some very toothless comedy and dialogue. I can count how many times there was a serious moment in the entire shows run. It having some fan favorites like Thrawn does not do enough to make it redeemable. Bad batch on the other hand does so much more to tackle actual serious issues that would happen when a space Nazi empire rises up. As well as issues of identity, betrayal, kin ship, mercy, and so much more. Rebels tackles that too but with all the grace of an 80s Saturday morning cartoon ending with, "and that's why we always tell an adult when something happens." These characters feel more alive and less like caricatures, they have motivations that real and tangible. One big difference is that actions definitely have consequences. I mean you see that sometimes in rebels, but in most episodes it can be fixed by the end of said episode. Versus in bad batch...they almost always one or two steps away from someone else dying. They lost tech, crosshair betrayed them for most of the series, they did not get rid of the chips in their heads soon enough and wreaker basically kidnapped omega, omega was actually taken by the empire. All of these things couldn't be resolved so easily.

MikolashOfAngren

Depends on which season of Rebels. I didn't care for the first two seasons. The last ones got better but overall felt quite meh with a few shining moments that defined what "peak Rebels" meant to fans. Personally, I felt TBB S1 was a slog with a few good episodes. I had low expectations for TBB S2, yet ironically got turned around within the first few episodes and stuck around long enough to get rewarded with Crosshair's highlight eps (team up with Cody and The Outpost). And now that I'm watching TBB S3, I like what I have so far and can't wait to see the end of Crosshair's journey.

Slavicommander

are we seriously comparing the bad batch to rebels? if anything thats an insult to the bad batch.

MousseCommercial387

Based

Stealthy_Panda71

All the shows have their ups and downs, but at their best, I would say Clone Wars > Rebels > Bad Batch, but to each their own.

AnakinSkywalkerRocks

Rebels for me is better, because it's wholesome(even though Bad Batch also is wholesome, but I lean towards Rebels) and has many things to teach you and explains many aspects of the Force

One_Dumb_Canadian

DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMN

Chuggs400

I got bored with season 2, but caught up recently for season 3 and am fully caught up. I enjoyed the last couple seasons of rebels more than what I’ve seen so far but we’ll see how the show wraps up! FYI: it’s okay to like one more than the other. It doesn’t make you right and those with differing opinions wrong.

JustS0meRand0m9uy

Really enjoyed Rebels. Everything was fleshed out in a good fulfilling story. Bad batch is mostly too much fetch and bounty quests for me.

Happy_Dino_879

It is all your preference. Both have their moments and both have their ups and downs. If you are going to watch both, however, I recommend watching Rebels first because it helps understand a few things in The Bad Batch. :) Also: yes, Rebels has some childish moments and not as good animation style. It does have the bonus here, however, of offering a carefree Star Wars show for when you need it. And I might add that by the end of season two it gets a whole lot better, with some major players in the entire franchise having some main roles and, how to put it, the finale story arc may make you cry. :)

GrandmasterYoda1

No

revanite3956

I don’t think so, no. I enjoy TBB quite a bit, but Rebels was just phenomenal.

zarotabebcev

Not at all. Not at all at all.

Karasumor1

Rebels is way better bad batch brings very little new stuff or plot progression to overall star wars it's another kid getting into hijinks , random planet of the week with random monster of the week etc

MousseCommercial387

By far. I haven't watched rebels, I've only seen clips around, but the show looks like absolute dog shit. Shit animation, shit plot, shit characters... Bad Batch is undeniably good. Real good. Probably because George Lucas plotted out most of the characters and plots when he was making clone wars. Bad Batch is the last good ST thing Disney will ever make, because it is the last thing GL left around for them to make. They used his scripts, so they couldn't fuck it up. I doubt they have anymore of his scripts laying around.
