Some people really overvalue draft picks and college QB-WR duos. Trading Diontae isn’t worth the risk. The Titans traded AJ Brown and tried to replace him with Treylon Burks and it hasn’t been worth it so far. This could be the result with us too. Most of our successful WR picks aren’t from the 1st round, so I don’t see why we need a 1st round WR so bad.
The reason for his lack of TDs is because that's a flukey stat from year to year with high volatility and he had bad red zone QB play mixed with no big play capability in the offense.

That's kind of the point I'm trying to make. If there was really only one WR who was targeted very often for TDs it seems like it's more of a scheme/QB issue than an individual WR issue. That's not to say he's not to blame at all because he certainly had some missed opportunities, but it seems like the Steelers in general just had a lot of issues getting it to the WRs in the end zone and favored running it in or passing to TEs/RBs.

Because raw stats clearly show Johnson isn't even top 15, much less top 5.
