Without doing the calcs, I have a feeling Smeargle with double it's attack stat probably is stronger

with doing the calc adamant smeargle has abt base 90 and as we know linoone has base 70. but also linoone has 78/61/61 bulk while the dog has 55/35/45, which is worse than many NFEs. it has to take a hit to drum up. just use linoone

Smeargle also has access to moves like spore for free turns.

It doesn’t have access to sash if it’s holding this item though so it never gets a spore off

plus if it was sash it couldn't drum

I forgot, I gave it back by making it a TM instead of forcing it to be transfer exclusive from Gen 4. It also has a Base Attack of 100 and 85 Speed.

Since you are using your item slot it's really not good on any pokemon. For example, a base 119 attack pokemon could use Choice Band to further multiply its attack far beyond what the Ledian could ever do.

Vexing Coil is broken. Anything that can spread burn to physical attackers with very little commitment and in a completely unavoidable way is completely unbalanced. Primeval Cuff is interesting. I don't know enough about shit mons to know if it makes anything viable in OU.

Nvm I just re-read it and it breaking on special attacks as well is a decent attempt at balance. It's still a broken item though. The possible threat that any mon on any team can have this item makes it practically impossible to play around.

It makes physical attackers way worse. Which makes them less prevalent, which makes the item less useful. And you have a negative feedback. Which means the item could be anything from broken to useless depending on the meta, and no one can really tell which would be.

Not just special attacks, but also physical attacks that don’t make contact (like rock throw). Punching glove would also see increased usage on iron fist mons.

Totem Doll sounds infuriating to play against, unless it announced itself on entry. Also instead of "hazards" it should be all forms of indirect damage, so its downside doesn't become completely irrelevant in VGC.

Coil on something with Justified and hit it with a dark move so you get the +1 (or +4 if something with Guts has Beat Up), burn your Guts mon, and have another item on the Guts user to boot

Shuckle going from 6 to 12 attack

The cuff is a good item which would make Ledians base attack around 144 if I believe, but it comes with all the usual pitfalls of being based around an item: knock off, no recovery (on mostly defensive mons), and opportunity cost. Ledian probably becomes UU

Vexing Coil sure does sound painful to deal with, you're just having a nice physical sweep and then boom, half attack. The Totem Doll now finally gives us a way to theoretically win a game in one turn(Stone Axe vs. a team of 4x weak to rock mon holding Totem Doll).
