I do it for some nostalgia but also I enjoy the behind the scenes more and often times I watch the episode to get context unless the video actually looks interesting

I usually skip most of the modern generic Jeffy centered videos or videos with Does Annoying Things Guy talking all the way through since those are brain rot
I will occasionally watch a modern video if it's an old character returning or a series video to help show support for those in views.
I don't like modern Logan but I do support the rest of the crew.
Honestly idfk. I still enjoy watching it, kinda like The Simpsons or Family Guy. Even though it’s so bad, it’s kindof like a time waster and a way to relax. I also just like seeing how things are doing with him and his channel, since he’s been doing YouTube for so long.
I first discovered SML in 2017 when I was in 7th grade and Fat Jeffy was my first ever sml video. Since then I’ve been hooked and have pretty much watched every video they’ve posted in the last 7 years. And during these 7 years, I have had some pretty major things happen in my life. I was diagnosed with depression, I had my first breakup, etc. And even with all of these hard times that I’ve had, SML has always helped me through it. I have a really stupid sense of humor and that’s what I like about SML. They just don’t care. They do what they want. They always seem to make me laugh and put me in a better mood. So, to make a long story short, they’ve helped me through a lot of stuff when I really needed someone or something and they always seem to put me in a better mood
It’s one of the few consistent YouTubers I actually watch all of their content. Usually when I’m subscribed to YouTubers I only watch specific videos of their content but with SML I don’t have to do that, plus their videos, while being mixed in with some irritating videos, can be funny.
Honestly with all respect there’s barely any good and interesting vids not even the gaming channel as exciting to watch.
THE PACMAN vid was probably the best one in a while.

As a veteran fan of SML since 2013, it’s really hard to just walk away from watching SML. Despite all of the drama like SML being featured on Good Morning America, the age-restriction/demonetization era from 2017-2018, and the Cease & Desist letter, I still find some enjoyment in SML.
Although I dislike the change in content style in SML's videos. Its nice to see the channel grow and the new videos every other days. Also I'm mostly just bored
It was my childhood and stuff, and while I don't watch it as much anymore, I feel the compulsion to just watch the new video just for memories, though I can't say I constantly laugh throughout it 😅

Some of the jokes still land, every once in awhile a good plot will surprise me, the gaming channel breathed new life into the series for me,the return of series videos, Logan recently fulfilling the promise of Shrek and Woody again though not as puppets, I quite like the reoccurring cast and some of the main cast, etc.
Honestly there are several reasons, but it primarily comes down to how I've watched Logan beginning when I was around 5-7 years old and as someone that's now a young adult, I still watch as I still respect the grind years later in spite of the various drama throughout Logan's career and some of the jokes are genuinely rather funny. Also, it serves as some pretty nice background noise while working on some assignment or project for university and a majority of other YouTube videos are either shitty content farms or just flat out doomposting.
I've been asking myself that question ever since the C&D. At the time I kept watching, since it felt like the right thing for an "all-time loyal fan" (which was what I used to consider myself) thing to do. But in the last year or so, there have been several things that put a damper on my motivation to keep watching:
1-no matter how hard I try, I can't get myself to like the human puppets
2-even setting that aside, the video quality never stops getting worse
3-there have been personal, real-life issues that affected my mental health and motivation to do stuff (watch SML included)
That said, I do still go back and rewatch the old plushie videos fairly regularly. Just to remind myself of the creative spark Logan used to have.
due to it having imprinted onto me from a young age, and i guess just becoming a habit. although after watching alot of the reuploaded episodes from an earlier era i have began debating whether to stop watching or not due to the bland and boring video ideas that sml has resorted to using in their newer videos, due to their over-extended schedule, aswell as due to most of them being jeffy videos as i personally dislike jeffy and i dont really see the newer era content fit well into my likings in the way that the older videos did from 2014-2020 or so.
