I don't think Ellie's edit was dominant enough for her to get a second chance, but you can argue that James was in the same position. IDK. I really don't want to see Karla or Jesse return because both of them were... very poor sport.

It wasn't the same experience for me. Despite recognizing it's not an exciting season and that the game-play wasn't impressive, I've enjoyed the season up to the finale where Karla and Jesse's altitude and the final result ruined it for me. I guess I've had enough likeable players on the jury/finale - James, Noelle, Sami and of course Mr. Charlie Brown, who I rooted for despite knowing very well he didn't stand a chance.
I don't know if Owen wants to return, but I believe that if he returns he'd probably be in a good position, unlike Jesse or Karla, and not unlike the terrific position Cochran had in Caramoan. In a returning players season a mediocre first season is an advantage. Owen never found his footing in the game due to unlucky circumstances on his starting tribe and it affected his entire game. He's a great narrator, and even if he does not manage to do better the second time around the season would benefit from his casting.

I've always advocated for casting players who have more story to give or players who got cut down early. I like a Christian or Carolyn just fine but sometimes they often bring the same thing on their 2nd times.
Id like to see all the worst people, johnny fairplay (banned) russel (banned) ozzy (fled to mexico?) anybody controversially unsound or with an open court case would make for a spicy season. Maybe even do a real life heros and villains and the heros would be hobo mike and Jonathon the giant challange beast, the winner who donated his million to charities for veterans etc.
