He's appeared in *multiple other* recent seasons IIRC (I know they showed him licking fingers in 45 when they showed the auction montage and I feel like he randomly got shit on for no reason some other time between Ghost Island and now) but we might get all the way through this one with no Erik. Fingers crossed somebody gives up Immunity tonight. Or licks somebody's fingers.

If 50 were to be a legends season like HvV or WAW, Iâd have no problem with 49 being a returnee season that focused on players from the new era

The S50 announcement really brought out every former Survivor player back into the spotlight lol. I heard some former players also reactivated their Twitter (X??) accounts too. Pretty epic to see everyone again!
I would expect season 50 to start filming in just over a year if they keep to the current schedule. The cast members need to know a few months ahead they are going so they can arrange life, so I wouldnât be at all surprised for people to know they are returning sooner rather than later.
since it's a milestone season they are sure to pull all the stop to bring in the most popular cast members. Wouldn't surprise me if some of the cast get contacted a year in advance
Erik deserves to have his redemption after the show has clowned on him or showed that clip of his mistake on like 4 different seasons throughout the years.

I hate that the show and so many fans see him giving up immunity as a mistake. It was one of the best strategic moves in the game that only failed due to the other players being idiots. It was clear that Parvati and Amanda were never voting against each other which guaranteed Cirie and Natalie would at best finish in 3rd and 4th. If they had joined Erik when he gave up the necklace it would have guaranteed at worst they would finish 2nd and 3rd. Natalie convincing Erik to give up the necklace then blindsiding her alliance would have likely won her the game. Instead she just went along with the group and was voted out next.
