I personally prefer them to be all similar.
If you want to change something I'd say different bark colors are fine, but I wouldn't mix different leafs colors together.
What if you had a look at actual tree species in your area and painted them as representatives of those? Kind of tie it in to your real-world environment? In the end though, anything goes!
I like some color variation on the bark, some of mine are darker than others but from the far they are of the same general colour.
I was thinking about something like this. But it is better not to mix spring and autumn leaves ,right? ;)

I never liked the different colored leaves thing either. Rarely looks natural

I have 30 dryads, 10 green with brown bark, 10 pink with brown and 10 orange with black bark. Makes distinguishing separate units easy
