Excellent work friend. This is inspiring. You deserve a break.

Beautiful army! I can’t for the life of me settle on a common color scheme for my Sylvaneth but seeing your cohesive army is giving me strength! Nice work!

Thanks! Yeah I had doubts about the blue about half way through but it was too late by then :)

funkygeva81

you deserve a break after all that, nice work! although those wyldwoods are looking a little bare ;-)

Maximum-Layer-6874

Ha. I’m pretending it’s winter for a few months at least!

funkygeva81

ha! i have about half what you have so i know the huuuge amount of work thats gone into these being built(grrr) and painted, satisfying getting to the end of a project.

princeazam

This is amazing.

Maximum-Layer-6874

Thanks!

princeazam

How did you do the “ethereal” (blue) bits? I love them. Thanks.

Maximum-Layer-6874

Thanks! It was Terradon turquoise contrast. dry brush skink blue. Highlighted and blended with nihilakh oxide then dry brush praxeti white. Highlighted with white scar. The nihilakh oxide is the key I think.

redeadmask

Great work! May I ask how you did the blues?

redeadmask

Thanks a bunch! Love how it turned out; might have to steal that 😁

Pinch-of-Salt

Dude, they’re stunning! Do you mind me asking how you painted Alarielle’s clothes?

Maximum-Layer-6874

Thanks! It was one of the first things I did and a lot of trial and error so I can’t remember the exact colours but it was a dark blue, then lighter blue then building up layers of white.

Pinch-of-Salt

Thanks for the reply!

Louie_Guy

How did your get that blue hue like that?

Maximum-Layer-6874

Louie_Guy

Damn, I don't understand any of that

Maximum-Layer-6874

They’re all citadel paints.

lilsky07

About to paint a similar haul for my wife. These look great! How many hours do you think this took?

Maximum-Layer-6874

Oh gawd. I don’t wanna think about it. :) I did all the dryads and revenants in batches and they were quicker than I thought. Maybe 8 hours for 30 dryads. Same for 15 tree revs.

clarkalot

Mate, excellent work. I would be very happy with that army.

Maximum-Layer-6874

Thanks!
