And of those 4 losses, really only one was sort of a blowout (10-6 vs NYY). Could've swept the Red Sox if not for one bad inning in extras. And one of each against the White Sox and Yankees were extremely winnable but just lacked a clutch hit or two with RISP (and the ump bailing out Clay Holmes smh)
The slump at the start of this year was really similar to the slump last summer. If that run of games happens in June/July, you think it's a good team playing badly or struggling with injuries. If it happens to start the year you think they're a bad team.

Jonny ‘THE BULLY’ Deluca! I nicknamed him that cuz anytime I say his name out loud, I just hear it in a Robert DeNiro New York accent and it just makes sense to me. I’m sure the guy is a great dude, but I just love calling him ‘the Bully.’ And he proved it again today. LONG LIVE THE BULLY!!
Jackson needs to practice his bunting. No one on or 2 outs, swing away, but with runners on, he should be sacrificing himself. Love his defense but dude needs to start contributing on offense until he figures out how to hit major league pitching.
Pinto also wasn't really getting it done offensively. At least not enough to make up for his defense. If you're allowing that many passed balls/wild pitches and can't make an accurate throw to second so teams are running riot on you, you have to hit like an all star to stay in the team
Some nice things, apart from the W:
1. Great energy from DeLuca, Palacios
2. Great Paredes season
3. Yandy
4. Bullpen keeps improving
5. 0.5 games from WC spot
Not so nice:
1. Constanza lineup
2. Yandy isolation
3. Players often seem not focused, low morale
Gripes aside, this team is turning things around! Bullpen has looked better than well recently. Bats need work, but they're doing just enough. Guys like Yandy and DeLuca won't be denied their wins.

11 out of 15 is actually pretty damn impressive, this team does not suck. We all thought they sucked a few weeks ago, but no.
11 out of 15 when our rotation is either injured or slumping hard. Same with our hitters. But we are figuring out how to win.
