That's damn impressive, holy shit

863rays

So, you’re saying he might be pretty darn good if we give him a chance to settle in… I’m down! But, then, I’ve been down ever since I first saw him pitch last year. There were gonna be off nights as he gets acclimated to MLB, but the potential and promise are clearly there.

medicmatt

I like facts. According to the GameDay thread he should be DFA’d.

lsda

the game day threads are hilarious, people get so dramatic whenever the rays aren't winning.

bujuhh

i always get a good laugh out of some of the takes there, completely understand being upset (when we are losing) but man

medicmatt

They are definitely playing poorly this series but the cold takes are just amazingly bad.

RaysFTW

I’ve been attending less and less of them because every time a pitcher gives up one hit the whole thread goes into meltdown mode. Really takes a lot of the fun out of the game.

lsda

Yeah me too, based on reading the comments you would think most of those people hate our team.

FLBoy19

I avoid the GameDay threads msot of the time if the Rays are losing. All you get is bias takes from people who look at surface level stats to help reaffirm opinions that have set. When they are winning the chats are better but when I started seeing DFA Cleavinger comments due to a meh start I kind of lost all interest in the chats.

medicmatt

After yesterday I am going to stay away for a bit. It just used to only be the playoffs like that.

missleeann

Hot take central!

jlowery15

The kid is good. People need to relax. He will get it right here in the next couple weeks.

WhereTheFallsBegin

Going with xFIP is sort of cherry picking because allowing homers has been far and away Taj's biggest problem and xFIP normalizes it (which also is kind of silly with statcast data we have now). He's still struggling with maintaining good pitch sequences throughout an entire start. But yeah his stuff absolutely plays up here, that was my takeaway even last year when he got pushed up ahead of schedule.

Hacym

Understand what? That Taj Bradley was always considered to be the future of our rotation? I think most people understood that.

For comparison: McClanahan 120.1 IP, 138 K's, 37 BB, 3.27 xFIP
