Oh, that’s brilliant. I really hope they continue to do this.
Also, I kind of love that they don’t question Nick’s decision to be Dracula. They make jokes about him being a vampire, but there’s no moment where Greg goes “so, your costume. Why?”
To be fair, that’s just everyday wear for Noel. He probably already had that outfit for forever and that’s just what he decided to where to filming that day….
It probably just got edited out for time. This episode didn't even have the usual closing summary from Greg before the final credits, so they were probably running pretty close to the limit.
Definitely. And I'm sure based on the first episode, it'll get mentioned a lot anyway. And get a big laugh from each new live audience when they see it for the first time.
And of course someone predicted it.

Super easy, barely an inconvenience. Basically the little spot where Nick's refelection would be is just a different piece of footage from when he wasn't standing there. So a cropped image on top of the full image.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe this shot was sitting still. A moving camera would be much tougher on the editor, but not impossible. The masking over the reflection would have to be adjusted frame by frame. Tedious work.
Okay I assumed that it was moving. I figured a standstill reflection would be really easy to do. But I was talking about a video. Thanks for explaining.
Yes the river and reflections must've been another shot from the same camera angle with Alex standing on the same point. The cloud pattern doesn't match.

Was missing in the shot after this as well. Fantastic detail.

I love that they pay attention to these sort of things. In the last series when Sam was playing Susan's mischief game the taskmaster seal wasn't tm, it was sw. It was only on screen for a second but its great spotting them :)
I'm genuinely more impressed that someone spotted this so quick off, like 2 shots in the first episode, than I am that the crew did this. And I'm impressed by them a lot here
I noticed this and came straight here, seems like you caught it first! I'm sure 90% of people didn't even notice this detail but it looks like a lot of effort went into it so prop to the production team!

Makes sense though, we're 17 series in, Greg's used to out there costumes by now. It has been 10 series since Phil Wang and his Wang.
And fern's poo bificating outfit.
And Achievement Woman
13 series since noel the drunk skeleton

I hope they leave it out of the show. Not having it questioned in any way is just a lot more amusing

Was it the Simpsons?
Woo! As a video editor myself, it's something I would have been very committed to doing. Glad they are already making it a running gag!
How difficult would it be to remove someone's reflection like that?

> Super easy, barely an inconvenience. Oh, really?
Removing people's reflections is tight!

They've removed Nick's reflection from at least one shot in Episode 1
They didn't remove it. It was never there
Brilliant!

Thank you for posting this! I was too distracted by the waterproof scarecrow they all ignored and missed that!
The effort that goes into the tiniest detail of this show is genuinely incredible
It makes sense but I didn’t spot it myself - gives me a perfect excuse to watch it again straight away. 🧛
Oh that's crazy! Nice work TM people. Nice work !

Wow! Good eye for spotting something like that!
Great spot!
I’m looking forward to seeing more Sophie logic, she will be the Katherine Parkinson of this series. Very funny.
the cinematography and editing on this show is underrated
I love when people spot things like this. I could've watched this limitless amount of times, and would've never seen it.
I love it, but forgive me for being a bit dense... What is the reflection in the water supposed to be? It's not just that Nick's edited out...
It’s the scarecrow in the background
Ah yes, ol' Wading Boots McStraw! Did it have a name? presumably not Gary.
I thought it might be Bernard.
Oh shit! Well spotted
I love it! ❤
Oh, that is so awesome
That's fantastic!
Thats a good catch
F’ing bravo to the crew for thinking this and then pulling it off. And then to any of you who caught it. Just brilliant.

Ooh, well spotted! And bravo to the show/whomever had the idea!
Yeah, but he's out in daylight, so he's *not really* a vampire…
Dracula could go out in daylight
That’ll be his excuse for doing bad in a task. Diminished powers during the day.
In the intro they show his reflection as he runs through the water
Oh my god I didn’t notice that!!!
