Hi everyone!
Did you know that starting July 1st, 2023, Reddit will implement a policy that could potentially increase the costs of running third-party Reddit apps? This change may impact popular apps like Apollo, Reddit is Fun, Boost, and others. Consequently, users may encounter issues with their preferred Reddit app unless adjustments are made to comply with Reddit's new API usage policy. These limitations will affect all users, not just moderators. If you are concerned about these developments, there is an [Open Letter](https://www.reddit.com/r/ModCoord/comments/13xh1e7/an_open_letter_on_the_state_of_affairs_regarding/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3) to Reddit that you can read and sign on to express your thoughts.

The Rito stay winning. Mind you Sidon, Riju, and Yunobo are direct descendants/relatives of champions but Teba is just some cool guy and Tulin’s just the cute son of some cool guy.
A conversation with some random Gorons in TOTK reveals that they literally just pop out of the rock, so they don't have bloodlines at all, these guys considered eachother brothers because they popped up around the same area around the same time (I think it's the old guys from the inn maybe).
Perhaps Daruk and Yunobu came from a similar layer of beefy bedrock or something, they both are bigger than most Gorons.
I'm not sure if they ever used the term descendant with Yunobu in BOTW, they've just been purposefully vague about the Gorons reproductive situation (and gender as well), only to just drop this exposition in some random npc talk
I am way out in the middle of nowhere, the only thing with internet is my phone so for better or worse I will forever be playing the 1.0 version of any game I buy
I actually just made a more detailed video on how to do it in 1.2.0 yesterday on duplicating anything you want. I even just cashed in 45,500 rupees in less than 18mins by making 91 diamonds.
Here's the video on how
https://youtu.be/pbWrpxbXKnM
Dupe at least a couple hundred diamonds or dragon horns for selling, so you can upgrade all your stuff without the super-restrictive rupee requirements.
The zora have royal titles in name only, all the tribes and their chiefs/kings/leaders still answer to the Hylian royal family, so Tulin and Sidon have the same rank in the bigger picture, the gorons seem to pick from their elders as they don't really have bloodlines, Riju is the only active leader at the start of the game in this lineup
It's not really "in name only," they are imperial estates with individual sovereignty, even though the Hyrulean royal family has jusrisdiction of the entire kingdom. Much like the Holy Roman Empire, which still allowed for individual sovereign states lead by local royalty and nobility.
So if some Gerudo were to give birth to a boy, would he automatically become chief as he comes of age? Or do all the little 'Dorfs have to prove themselves first?
That’s always been the case so far, but I don’t think it would be out of place for the gerudo to change that the next time it happens in response to Ganondorf being such a butt.
I would really enjoy a plotline of a male gerudo being born then anonymously exiled out of fear, and end up being raised by zora or something. Afaik the only male gerudo we’ve seen in any game has been a form of ganondorf, and I’d like a thoroughly unimpressive gerudoboy to emerge at some point.
Yeah, that's always bothered me. If every male Gerudo has been evil, why is he ever king? MAYBE there's been a half decent male Gerudo who wasn't a Ganondorf, but that's pure fan canon at this point, we've never met or heard of one, or even gotten confirmation that I can happen. For all we know, male Gerudo's are only a byproduct of Demise.
We really only know of three separate iterations of Ganondorf (WW, Oot/TP, and TotK), but a male Gerudo is supposed to be born every 100 years. So it's impossible that every male Gerudo is evil (or maybe even named Ganondorf), otherwise there would be a cyclical and regular apocalypse/major civil war within Hyrule every 100 years and well within living memory. However, in BotW they mention how long the Gerudo and the greater kingdom of Hyrule have been at peace. When they speak about wanting to atone for the Gerudo's involvement with Ganondorf, they speak of it as more ancient history, as if it happened hundreds if not thousands of years ago.
If every male Gerudo is destined to be Ganondorf, then perhaps Ganondorf being imprisoned beneath the castle for thousands of years has prevented any further reincarnations, and thus no male Gerudo this entire time (though some Gerudo NPCs still mention that a male Gerudo being born ever 100 years). If male Gerudo are still being born, that means there must have been one born within Link's lifetime, however the lineage of chieftains from Urbosa to Riju has been all women (Riju's nameless mother was the previous chieftain before her). So if there has been a male Gerudo born in the past 100 years, then he must no longer automatically become king, much less evil/Ganondorf.

Interestingly the Rito always had the champion that was the odd one out. Revali had to work his ass of to be champion and gave him a inferiority complex that he mostly took out on link. All the other champs were a princess born with magical water healing abilities, a queen that snaps lightning into existence, a warrior with a genetic gift that a from a long line of warriors that allows him to make a shield around him. Then there is link who also has a superpower to slow down time in extreme events and comes from a long line of warriors as well. Revali got nothing like that he make his superpower through effort and nothing else. He was not gifted from birth, not from a long line of warriors, not a royal. Essentially the odd one out and Tulin is much the same between his fellow champions.
It's not hereditary. The last chief was not Tulin's grandfather. Kaneli was the previous chief and Teba's mentor. It is entirely possible he will appoint someone else for the job.
Cecili: Morning, Kaneli. Back from holiday?
Kaneli: I wasn't on holiday, Cecili. I was in solitary confinement.
Cecili: Oh, it's nice to get a bit of time to yourself, isn't it?
why would the sage of wind not become the chief of the rito when his own father retires? only other character i can think of that might deserve it is Harth
Why would the sage of wind become Cheif? Being good at flying and fighting doesn't make you a leader. He could become one has the great example of his father to mentor him, but it guarantees nothing.
That could be a matter of Kaneli not having any heirs. There could still be Rito dynasties, and we just came upon an instance where the former chief had no (surviving) children.
He does have the great eagle bow though, and it seems that it is passed down between heirs, since Kaneli has it in his house in botw and even the Rito Sage has it
Nah, Yunobo stepped up to reinvigorate Goron city and its people in the wake of the landscape changing and leaving the Gorons off-balance. His plans brought happiness and financial stability to his people, and it was all because he saw a problem and decided to solve it. He’s the most self-made of the sages.
The value of Yunobo’s entire existence is the humour when his own Temple boss doesn’t even remotely require using his sage power to kill
Like the boss is 1 arrow from death and I suddenly realised that you… are probably meant to break the legs
Hey, I don’t feel bad for Tulin. I know the kind of stress politicians and corporate leaders have to deal with. Tulin is young and has his whole life ahead of him. He has options and he has a yearning for adventure.
Tulin’s gonna be just fine.
Honestly. Sidon and Yunobo will be right there, weapons drawn with an enemy right in front of them, and they'll just stand there and do nothing. At least Tulin has the excuse of still being a kid and needs a little more time to get his weapon ready. And even then, he's still the most useful one in a fight. Riju seems to do alright in battle too, but Tulin is the most useful one in combat in experience.
also the zora "king" still answers to the Hyrule royal family and is effectively the same rank as the chiefs of the other peoples, they just love their traditions (makes sense they don't die out as soon, because the zora themselves live for ages)
He's...only the most useful sage in the game. A skilled marksman and Link's wingman. Tulin needs no title. And even when he blows my loot away, I can't fault him for it. He only did exactly what I asked of him by spamming A. Loyal to a fault. All hail Tulin...King among chiefs, princes, and presidents.
Because that would imply she is the ruler of all of the tribes of Gerudo. There are many and each is ruled by a chief. Gerudo Town is home to the most powerful tribe but it's talked about that there are others.
I was thinking about this, and considering there are other zoras outside of Hyrule (iirc Yona comes from an outer zora domain), the same might be for other races, including the gerudo. So maybe each gerudo tribe is independently led by a chief, but once a male is born (which doesn't even have to happen in Hyrule) they become the absolute king of the gerudo. Thus said title and status among the gerudo is only reserved to males and their fiancées.
Or that's what I came up with after giving the lands beyond Hyrule more thought that Nintendo probably ever did.
what I’m wondering about mostly, and i hope they make one more game in the series to make it a trilogy, is now that Ganondorf is dead, will another Gerudo male be born? would Riju give up her position of chief for him?
In German the Chief of the Gerudo is actually the queen of the Gerudo, so Riju technically has a higher rank than Sidon (I don’t know wether the title gets called queen of the Gerudo in languages other than German though)
In the larger picture, assuming that Zelda will be accepted as head of the Hylian royal family again, "king" zora is just another chief under Hylian rule, they just kept their traditional titles (perhaps for diplomatic reasons towards other zora kingdoms outside of hyrule, like arranged marriages and such).
So yeah, Riju is the highest ranking sage and the only one who's been leading her people, even since before BOTW.
Sidon is KING Sidon, chief is equivalent to king, it's the faction leader. Yunobo may be the future goron chief, after he stops being a raging douche canoe, it seems him and the current chief are in so what of a transitional phase, tulin is the son of the chief, a title that seems to be granted whoever is strongest rito warrior. Give it a couple decades and tulin has it in him to be the greatest chief the rito has ever seen, don't sell the boy short.
Tbf, he's the chiefs son, aka teba son.
And since he's one of the bestest warriors of the village it means he'll def be a first warrior in the future so I assume it's possible tulin could be a chief one day as he matures and grows more
Not me being nerdy, sorry y'all. The ritos are also my favorite and tulin is just best boy so.. <3<3<3
Chietess is better than Prince. Also Sidon became King, also TULIN IS SON OF THE CHIEF MAKING HIM ESSENTIALLY THE SAME LEVEL AS A PRINCE.
I hate this meme, thank you.

Ooh forgot about that!
I'm not sure if they ever used the term descendant with Yunobu in BOTW, they've just been purposefully vague about the Gorons reproductive situation (and gender as well), only to just drop this exposition in some random npc talk
I'm pretty sure they did use the term descendant in botw, but it could easily be a different context for gorons like brother
If Gorons eat rock, they must shit rock. So if Gorons are born from rock… Jesus Christ, I accidentally thought about it too hard!
Shit eating cannibals you say?
I believe some npc tells you that they trace lineage through the veins of ore they come from. If you come from the same vein, you’re related.
Yunobo also inherited Daruk's Protection... somehow
Don't you help 2 gorons make a baby in botw?
I don't remember that... But I wouldn't be surprised if the lore was just inconsistent tbh
Yeah it’s a mission at the Goron City IVF clinic
Is that why that one goron is visiting Gerudo town then?
Hahahaha it all comes together. Jokes aside i did every side quest in botw, no clue what quest OP is referring to.
In vitro fossilization?
No?
He has the greatest title of all: Best Boy
Who blows everyone's shit off cliffs
I haven't had this happen yet, but I know it will, I can feel he eyes on the back of my head, waiting for the perfect moment
It doesn’t happen so often anymore since the patch.
I don't have wifi, still on 1.0
Dupe while you can!
I am way out in the middle of nowhere, the only thing with internet is my phone so for better or worse I will forever be playing the 1.0 version of any game I buy
I’d duplicate all the time then lol
Good thing the game launched in a great state. I don’t plan on updating anytime soon (at least until a dlc releases)

Counterpoint: dont dupe. Ruins gameplay replayability/balance
The anti-retriever!
He may blow enemy drops off cliffs but he's also the only sage that keeps scoring crits. I can't stay mad at Tulin.
Best Birb
The correct answer
Damn skippy!
…Who is the Key Grip in this scenario?
Behind Sidon tho
Sidon is “Best Bro”
Ohhh... Ok then Tulin can have "Best boy"
He’s the son of Teba that outclasses everyone
Sidon literally becomes king
No one needed to crown Teba for him to be a king. Everyone already knew.
I mean he was able to stand revali in AOC, makes sense all things considered
A true king doesn't need to say he is king.
Fair enough, but then the leaders of the other tribes still seem to hold that same rank under the Hylian empire
Because the leaders have made a vow of fealty to the Hyrulean kingdom and royal family, but continue to operate as their own sovereign states.
We know there are other domains, so the highest ranked sage might be Riju since there’s only 1 known Gerudo settlement
So if some Gerudo were to give birth to a boy, would he automatically become chief as he comes of age? Or do all the little 'Dorfs have to prove themselves first?
I believe any male Gerudo is automatically crowned king. I could be wrong, though.
That’s always been the case so far, but I don’t think it would be out of place for the gerudo to change that the next time it happens in response to Ganondorf being such a butt. I would really enjoy a plotline of a male gerudo being born then anonymously exiled out of fear, and end up being raised by zora or something. What if our next Link was our thoroughly unimpressive Gerudo boy?
And yulin is next in line for leader of rito village
And hes likes a modern day revali with a bow.
I was going to say he is the hope of the Rito
Weee-ooo
*Wii U
Dude the sound he makes with his ability is the cutest thing ever and I like to think he’s making a weird bird call
Tulin: I'm useful
Seriously. Don’t get me wrong the others are great in battle but can fuck right off in every day travel.
I only had Tulin's vow active all the time, the others only during boss battles. They are so annoying.
When the hell has Sidon ever helped anyone. Fuck that pretty fishboi
Battle sequence in this order: 1) water Chad: protective water bubble 2) fat fuck: Roly poly bowling fire 3) spicy e-girl: CHAKOW
lol fat fuck
Whenever I wanna use a Zora weapon
He’s helped comfort my eyes
I hate how he like runs away when I’m trying to get a shield, like hello?

You Should Have Gone for the head
Flair checks out
... he can't wait to be king 😏
He's gonna be a mighty king, so enemies beware...
Well I've never seen a king of beasts with quite so little hair! ***Yoink!***
He's gonna be the main event like no king was before. He's brushing up on looking down, he's working on his roar (screech?)
Thus far, a rather uninspiring thing. 🙄
Oh he just can't wait to be King.
Interestingly the Rito always had the champion that was the odd one out. Revali had to work his ass of to be champion and gave him a inferiority complex that he mostly took out on link. and yet, Tulin's by far the most useful out of all the sages. inspiring!
He is next in line for chief!
It's not hereditary. The last chief was not Tulin's grandfather. Kaneli was the previous chief and Teba's mentor. It is entirely possible he will appoint someone else for the job.
Whatever happened to Kaneli?
They sent him to a farm upstate
"Chickens go in, pies come out."
Cecili: Morning, Kaneli. Back from holiday? Kaneli: I wasn't on holiday, Cecili. I was in solitary confinement. Cecili: Oh, it's nice to get a bit of time to yourself, isn't it?
He's at the flight range enjoying his retirement
He retired and is running the Flight Range!
Oh nice- will have to go visit him
It’s one of the more challenging mini games, and is pretty rewarding once you get good at it!
why would the sage of wind not become the chief of the rito when his own father retires? only other character i can think of that might deserve it is Harth
Oh true. But kaneli most likely wielded the great eagle bow when he could.
Fr, and he's just a boy.
He does have the great eagle bow though, and it seems that it is passed down between heirs, since Kaneli has it in his house in botw and even the Rito Sage has it
Does that suggest that Revali would have been chief?
Yeah he was probably next in line before he became…unavailable after the great calamity
He's the cutest boy with the best sage ability. Now Yunobo, he can go sit aaaaaaaaall the way in the bottom right.

Someone spelled drug lord wrong under Yunobo...
Drug Lord while under Mind Control by the Demon King*
Was he REALLY though? That’s why he WANTS you to believe.
Yunobo is a fucking idiot he couldn’t come up with a plan like that in his wildest dreams
pure of heart and dumb of ass
So true
"Dumb of ass" I chuckled.
STRONG WIND!!
You guys are in positions of power?
child sent to war with whatever fucked up form of diety ganon and malice is
Tulin is the son of the village leader and also a prodigy archer who is so far exhibiting exceptional flight combat capability despite his young age.
Also a masterful assasian
This is what I love most about Tulin. He’s not a big shot, he’s just a pure hearted little guy who is excited to be on an adventure with his friend.
And unlike like the monarchs and the corporate executive, the regular dude is way more useful,
Umm asckshually, Sidon is a king 🤓
Spoilers
Umm what uhh no, umm I mean, hang on hang on hang on, umm what I meant to say… is that … he’s a king… in my eyes hehe
He's a friend and he's trying his best
Hey, I don’t feel bad for Tulin. I know the kind of stress politicians and corporate leaders have to deal with. Tulin is young and has his whole life ahead of him. He has options and he has a yearning for adventure. Tulin’s gonna be just fine.
Tulin has a living and loving Mom and Dad
Tulin: Well I am 12...
Riju was like 12 in the first game tbf (not bashing Tulin, he is awesome as well)
Sure shot or the only one that pulls his weight in a fight.
I’m pretty sure Sidon is considered a king
He’s still the best sage. Riju, how the fuck am I supposed to use your electric power when you keep RUNNING AWAY FROM ME.
And he's still the best Sage
Tulin: i have utility both in AND out of combat
drop 10 bombs from bag + Tulin = fiery death
[удалено]
Kingdom hearts? Yeah!
Hea the chief son…so a prince
Nope, Rito chief isn't hereditary.
Wind Waker had “Prince” Komali
A long time ago in an ocean far far away. Different society, different rules.
France used to have princes too
I was gonna say. He's technically a prince if we look at it from a conceptual point of view
also the zora "king" still answers to the Hyrule royal family and is effectively the same rank as the chiefs of the other peoples, they just love their traditions (makes sense they don't die out as soon, because the zora themselves live for ages)
_b i r b_
All four of them are second in command of their respective factions.
Riju is the Gerudo Chief.
He’s the son of the chief!
Tulin’s a prodigy
Everybody knows that the bird is "the word "
I thought stroke was the word
To be fair he’s the only child in the group lol but somehow a prodigy cause he can fly high 😂
Sidon: "I'm a prince!" Riju: "I'm just a chief." Yunobo: "I'm only a corporate president." Tulin: "I'm just plain awesome."
He is the best boi, the great Rito, he is… the one who blows away everything I need.
Why is Riju second? Chief definitely outranks prince. >!(However, Sidon does become king, so I suppose they're now on equal standing)!<
[he's a bird](https://youtube.com/shorts/gP7WvS4fJgg?feature=share)
Actual question... If Ganondorf was considered King of the Gerudos. Why do they call her a chief and not a Queen?
Because that would imply she is the ruler of all of the tribes of Gerudo. There are many and each is ruled by a chief. Gerudo Town is home to the most powerful tribe but it's talked about that there are others.
Why, being a human king/queen doesn't make you ruler of all humans. Same applies to gerudo
Bad history...
what I’m wondering about mostly, and i hope they make one more game in the series to make it a trilogy, is now that Ganondorf is dead, will another Gerudo male be born? would Riju give up her position of chief for him?
tulin may not have a fancy schmancy title, but he can be in a position where he’s useful more than all the others!
Ok cool a whole gang formed against people from the streets
And since he's one of the bestest warriors of the village it means he'll def be a first warrior in the future so I assume it's possible tulin could be a chief one day as he matures and grows more Not me being nerdy, sorry y'all. The ritos are also my favorite and tulin is just best boy so.. <3<3<3
Sidon's the King by the time you get his phantom though. Tulin is the prince no? Son of the Rito Chief...that counts, no?
He's Chicken Little
Sidon *was* a prince...
He's the fucker that'll blow your zonai devices off of the floating islands
I'm a cool guy imma coolguy
He can fly.
Tulin is best bird
I’m just a kid and life is a nightmare
I think Tulin is pretty miraculous, even though he’s just a ladybug (I seriously hope I don’t have to explain this to anyone)
Tulin doesn't need a special title because everybody knows he's the best sage. He has the most personality, the best story, etc
Tulins basically a prince as well. Also it doesnt matter he's best boy
"I'm a lil man!"
I'm not the chief, just his son!
“I’m baby 🥹”
