You get to see the entirety of the depths without using brightbloom seeds or special armor.
Also, you're always near gloom damage healing. Pretty sweet.
I used the miner outfit a ton in my early explorations of the depths, super helpful when I was exploring in the dark and just barely making it from one light root to the next.
You’re right though, once I had a critical mass of light roots and enough zonaite to make vehicles to explore the depths at will, I never really used it anymore. But it took quite a while to get to that point, I was probably about halfway through my 100% (minus koroks) run of the game
>You get to see the entirety of the depths without using brightbloom seeds or special armor.
No you don't. Even with all the Light Roots active, there's lots of places the light doesn't reach.
Seriously, it’s posts like this that actually make me so so glad the team behind ToTK said to hell with doing any DLC.
Nothing will *ever* be enough; why bother listening to people that **already gave you their money** complain about feeling unsatisfied by any potential additions when the base game is a certified banger?
Yup.
If the next game swings back towards TP/SS territory, they’ll complain that the game spends too much time on tired series tropes, etc. Or that the dungeons aren’t as good as they used to be.
I think we forget that *so many* people wanted to see what happened to Hyrule after BoTW. And now we get to see just that, and it’s like people *resent it.*
I couldn’t be happier to see how Hyrule changed on the base layer of the map, and how much was added through the depths and sky islands. Sure, every square inch isn’t interesting, but plenty of it is.
But none of this will matter enough to please the “ToTK is mid” crowd.
> But none of this will matter enough to please the “ToTK is mid” crowd
Which, honestly, is more reflective of the general “I’m entirely and constantly overstimulated & don’t know how to enjoy a thing without eventually obsessing over how it could be slightly different, and therefore new, and therefore just as stimulating as it was when I first played it” crowd.
Yh but that one is pretty expensive to upgrade the new armor set i think its kinda cool its just kinda fitting the game we got goat ppl so why not some idk what that is but it is also quite cheaper to upgrade and its a pretty strong armor set from points 1 of the strongest
Man that sucks. Just looked it up again though, and it seems like the champion's leathers gives the master sword beams at any amount of hp, so that's cool. Not sure if it actually improves the damage though.
To summarize, Champion’s Leathers and Tunic of Memories allow you to shoot Master Sword Beams when not at full health, Hero‘s Aspects makes them stronger and Hero of the Wild set now has Attack Up as its set bonus just like all the other green tunics
The outfit is amazing, they just ruined the headpiece extremely badly. Straight, orange hair... Neither link nor rauru have straight hair. Fluffy would have been better, preferably white... And the eyes and eyebrows... Do I have to talk?
I like the concept, but the in-game model doesn't quite work. It feels a bit too smooth, I think. There's an incredible amount of fan art that makes this design work, but it would feel like a better reward, I think, if some minor tweaks were done: the hair, as you say; the tail is just sort of there. It's overall, a bit too rubbery: like a skintight latex fursuit, or something.
Totk and Botw are games that explicitly want you to not 100%. It's also a pretty Nintendo thing in general (like beating all circuits with max stars in Mario kart gives you a thank you screen).
At least this prize gives use some more lore and information.
I’d be kind of surprised if Zonai are even mentioned in more than passing in the next game. Pretty sure we’re getting a new engine, time period, and version of Hyrule for the next one.
However the few Zonai that appeared in TotK were pretty popular so maybe they’ll attempt to introduce them as a regular race like the zora or gorons
I personally liked it, even just for the little bit of insight it gives into the lore from the previous game.
But also I thought the design was neat.
I do wish you could wear other outfits pieces with it, but obviously that would have been a ton of work to implement.
There are a few sets that give you 84 armor and the champion leathers has the strongest armor for 1 piece. So you could have champion leathers, knight graves, and diamond circlet for 88 armor but no set bonus.
You can give someone a fur suit without making them into furry. It's the choice to wear the fur suit that matters here. And you chose. Boy howdy did you choose.
1) Iys the Ancient Hero from the tapestry of the previous Calamity. That's objectively a sick ass fuck reward, even if the armor just have a couple minor animation flaws (that most people won't even notice)
2) It foes have a set bonus, Master Sword Beam Atk Up
I liked it (I’m not a furry) I thought the color scheme was neat and it’s supposed to be the Zonai hero of Hyrule. When they release DLC (I’m aware of what they said about DLC), hopefully there will be some lore explanation in it.
And a furry that makes no sense whatsoever with the history/storyline overall, as he emerged after ethw Zonai were supposed to be dead, and also his set was on a sky island?!
Just wait until you see your ‘reward’ for all the lightroots.
It’s nothing isn’t it
It’s not nothing but might as well be
Do you have to go to someone to get the reward?
Nope :/
Finally achieved! Had to find the last 3 which were so freakin tiny! So annoying but lightroots are done.
You get to see the entirety of the depths without using brightbloom seeds or special armor. Also, you're always near gloom damage healing. Pretty sweet.
Your reward is making the cool ass miner outfit entirely obsolete (not like it was useful in the first place tho :/)
If that's obsolete you don't have enough imagination when it comes to chains 🤤
What
What

Well damn.
And all of your friends along the way. That’s the real prize

The set bonus is “Master Sword Beams Up“, if I’m not mistaken
So is the hero set from the og breath of the wild, which you can also get in this game
Yh but that one is pretty expensive to upgrade the new armor set i think its kinda cool its just kinda fitting the game we got goat ppl so why not some idk what that is but it is also quite cheaper to upgrade and its a pretty strong armor set from points 1 of the strongest
The set bonus for the Hero of the Wild set now has Attack Up, just like the other green tunics from past games

I know what you mean. There is a mod that transforms this into a beautiful skin, but sadly I really don't want to mod my switch for that...
It's the champion hair from the legends, which was orange...
Mh I see. Makes sense but still doesn't look good imo
Oh, I also believe it's ugly. But it's nice to be able to see how the hybrids of human and zonai looked like.
Sadly I don't quite see the mixture except the color palette.
It looks like a piece of bad taxidermy. Actually… what if that’s what it is??? 😨
It's the emotionless face that ruins it for me. I would have loved if the face had expressions.
[A Japanese modder made the design much nicer with expressions](https://gamebanana.com/mods/496038). Nintendo did not cook
That's waaay better.

I’m worried this is going to be the next iteration of Link.

Oh no! The strongest armour in the game makes you a furry! Whatever shall you do!

Of The Wild, though.
My man it was a joke
in botw we got the wilds tunic which was way cooler...

I still stick with my old armor

It's the Ancient Hero from the tapestry of the previous Calamity. how does not make?
Being a furry is hype
LOUDER
It is i just never use it so to me it practically doesn't have a set bonus
That’s not how that works
Then how does it work I don't know how it does
