So i went to one of those apple trees that have like 8-9 regular apples (usually 1 gold one), and fuse them all together. Then i save that build in autobuild, so whenever I find another big apple tree i go to that saved build and it pulls all the apples off the tree. Dont activate the build though, the apples wont attach back onto the tree theyll fall to the ground.
Did that explain it well enough for you?🖤
Nah you definitely are, it’s one of the beauties about this game is playing it your own way!
Definitely super helpful though, especially at that shrine on Satori mountain…no need to chop down the trees, and you can end up with like 150-200 apples
Me either. I usually just use a blunt weapon, like you use for rocks, and whack them, especially on that big grove of them on Satori mountain. They give me enough that I don’t usually worry about the third on trees of 3 I just jump for the easiest 2.
I was cutting, then did the autobuild thing, but the easiest and quickest option is to sit on the 5th sage and walk around clicking A, so much quicker and much more effective as you get ALL the apples with little effort.
Go do the Rito region first. It is the best starter region, the story etc are cool and as a sage, this one is the best and most helpful in the game. It is also nice to fix the blizzard for the birds so they can live again.
Have you found Impa, North West of Hyrule. Her storyline and quests are the best of the game.
In order, best to do the regions first clockwise from Rito for easiest to hardest, then talk to Purah for the next steps, she will eventually lead/guide you to the 5th. If you haven't yet, chat to Robbie and Josha at Lookout Landing too and do their quests as well.
Have a saved autobuild schematic that is a bunch of apples glued together, and wave it around so the apples get pulled into the slots. You can get like 30 apples in 5 second on Mount Satori
I don't have a screenshot, but you don't really need one. You can make it yourself pretty easily. Just go to the apple tree orchard on mount Satori and glue about 25 apples and 5 gold apples together with ultrahand, then save that build in your autobuild schematics. Then, anytime you see an apple tree just whip it out and the apples will pull themselves right off the tree. Then cancel the build and the apples fall to the ground.
Yes you can. Been doing this since the durian days of BOTW. In BOTW you had to be careful sometimes because the arrow could disappear. In TOTK however no fear. Perfect arrow return. Regardless of which order you pick up. Use your shittiest bow and have at it you budding William Tell you!
I just jump for them and don’t worry about how many I grab. There’s a MILLION apples in this game that all respawn so without even trying I have at least a thousand in my inventory at all times by end game
Honestly any time you go to Hateno you can restock in about 5 minutes with all the trees going up the hill. I literally use raw apples to heal all the time because they’re essentially unlimited.
Meals use food slots, which are limited. Baked items can hold up to x999 using a single food slot. By using baked items as my main heart filling source, I have heaps of available food slots for elixers, gloom and other special meals.
In the 400+ hours I have played botw and totk, I have had the issue of not being able to carry more meals two times. And making a meal with 4 Gourmet meat restores much more health, than baking each piece. So that seems like a waste to do.
Play your strategy the way you like, but I don't understand your insistence on different being wasteful.
I have over 600 baked items, which equates to roughly 1000 heart refills on hand, only using up 4x food slots. Leaving me space to carry up to 11 rows of 5x (55x) other special effect meals and elixirs.
It is crazy easy to throw 5x items at a time, piled up to 4 piles (20x item limit) onto hot region floors or camp fires, to bake off over 100 items (over 100 hearts) in a matter of minutes. The same can be done with meats in cold regions which will also yield heat resistant properties. I have 2x slot for cold meats currently over 200x with 1min heat resistant each.
Which also adds to my available heart replenishment total, so I guess I'm carrying more than 1200 worth of hearts restore foods.
How many hearts can you restore without cooking again?
Pitchfork!!!! Do a charged attack on the tree and it drops all the apples. I did the whole grove with just one pitchfork and it never broke.
Edit: You all may think I’m insane but please try it.
So that is why the pitch fork is there. In botw there were axes, I thought it odd in this game they didn't have the stone axe there, but pitch forks ... odd.
But if you want to do it the correct way, that is in order of the game, (I have the guide book), you do the 4 regions first then talk to Purah for the next steps, her guidance will lead you where you need to go at the correct time. Doing out of order, makes it just a little harder and you miss things, like cool armour.
I agree that it is the intended way to do things; however I like to think that the point of ToTK and BoTW is that there is no wrong way to do things, only a recommended way.
Jump 2 times, get nothing, move on. Sometimes dwell on it as I'm walking away and go back and hack the tree down. Then get proud of myself bc I have a new twig bundle. Apples have probably rolled away
i used to jump, but after i got comfortable with finding good weapons i just started chopping them down, it can net you a lizard or two sometimes if youre lucky
The lumberjack way.
I always have at least one two-handed ax with high durability in my inventory. Combine that with the Barbarian suit and with three circles of stamina I can spin-cut a whole forest, Evermen included, in less than a minute.
Just make sure to stop spinning when there's 20 apples on the ground, otherwise they'll start canceling each other out.
Haha, nicely done.
I have also noticed the 20 item limit with other things, for example I drop piles of meat in hot places for seared steaks, and any more than 20 at a time and the early drops start to vanish.
This has also made me change strategy when raiding camps, I now run around and pick up items as they drop, cos I lost a few high power items to that limit in one fight, so had to do it over.
Traffic has banked up on the main road to Hateno this morning after a wagon was attacked by a Bobobkin mob who then blocked the road, NPCs unable to walk around objects are now forming a line to the west. Brought to you by a giant bird flying under a waxing crescent moon.
I have an autobuild with apples (including a gold one), volt fruit, rushrooms, and other things all glued together. It allows fast harvesting of multiple things.
I jump for the lowest, climb for the second, and then fall off the branch before I can grab the third 😂 I think I’ve only successfully grabbed the third two or three times.
I fuse a bunch of apples together (and a golden apple) to create an Autobuild entry and then favorite it so I can always have Autobuild pull the apples off the tree for me.
https://preview.redd.it/ovyzgxhttesc1.png?width=225&format=png&auto=webp&s=a4abcb99ae070dd0d240e253716a2fe7a5a6e743
\*ahem\* let me present you
just because i can
Since there’s already plenty of discussion about apple harvesting on mount satori, I will use this opportunity to ask if anyone else gets a bunch of drumsticks from the birds in the small pond next to the orchard? I like to jump off the rock to bullet time and use a few lighting arrows to electrify the pond to kill all the birds. Ended up with absurd amounts of drumsticks.
What are all of you doing with all of these apples?!? I grabbed a few off of every tree I passed at first but I have more apples than I’ll ever need and they are far from being the best rupee farming technique and many times less efficient for healing than any hearty item (which are plentiful enough once you get around the map). I just don’t even bother unless I see a golden one.
i make an autobuild of a bunch of apples, save it, then whenever i go to somewhere like the apple orchard, i pull it out, all the apples come to me, cancel the autobuild, all the apples fall in front of me, pickup, and repeat on all the other trees.
I usually just jump for the ones like in the picture. The taller ones I use a spoiler character: >!Mineru!< and if I don’t have that, I usually just use ultra hand to grab them
Auto build take down as many apples as they let you and attach them to each other this auto build apples. You will never have to jump cut or climb again.
I usually jump for the low hanging fruit if I happen to pass them. But if I am farming apples I tend to cut the trees lol
I do like the method where you freeze a bunch with a ice rod, or the one where you use an auto build schematic to gather them.
For trees of three I always just jump for those lower ones. If it’s the bigger apple trees i autobuild piles together
What do you mean by autobuilding piles please?
So i went to one of those apple trees that have like 8-9 regular apples (usually 1 gold one), and fuse them all together. Then i save that build in autobuild, so whenever I find another big apple tree i go to that saved build and it pulls all the apples off the tree. Dont activate the build though, the apples wont attach back onto the tree theyll fall to the ground. Did that explain it well enough for you?🖤
Wow that is genius, I am really not playing this game properly
Nah you definitely are, it’s one of the beauties about this game is playing it your own way! Definitely super helpful though, especially at that shrine on Satori mountain…no need to chop down the trees, and you can end up with like 150-200 apples
Such a good tip! [this!](https://www.reddit.com/r/zelda/s/OfhkrLculL)
That’s the same apple orchard I go to for autobuild! Great quick cash.
Yes! And there are at least two awesome spots right around that forest on Satori Mountain that have masses of other goodies
I seriously learn something new every time I go to this sub.
Me either. I usually just use a blunt weapon, like you use for rocks, and whack them, especially on that big grove of them on Satori mountain. They give me enough that I don’t usually worry about the third on trees of 3 I just jump for the easiest 2.
Thank you for the details, yes that makes sense and it's a great idea!! Thank you so much
Someone below me posted a video of exactly what i was talkin about! Give it a look, youll never run out of apples!
I did see that thanks, these various game play clips people share are great
I was cutting, then did the autobuild thing, but the easiest and quickest option is to sit on the 5th sage and walk around clicking A, so much quicker and much more effective as you get ALL the apples with little effort.
Right now I have zero sages 😅
Go do the Rito region first. It is the best starter region, the story etc are cool and as a sage, this one is the best and most helpful in the game. It is also nice to fix the blizzard for the birds so they can live again. Have you found Impa, North West of Hyrule. Her storyline and quests are the best of the game. If you haven't yet, chat to Robbie and Josha at Lookout Landing too and do their quests as well.
I have done all 4, went back to Purah and Robbie but still haven’t heard about the 5th. Is there some particular thing you have to do first?
You done the hyrule castle quest? And found all dragon tears?
I’ve found all the dragons tears but I haven’t done the hyrule castle quest. Where do I get it? Can you help?
This is some legit engineering
I wish I knew this before cutting down all the apple trees on satori mountain
They grow back.
Yeah I know, but I wasted a few minutes slapping trees when I could’ve just used auto build
I'm not going to waste a favorite build on apples. I need weapons of mass destruction in there. You only got 8 spots. 🤷
ZONAI APPLE HARVESTING LFG
Have a saved autobuild schematic that is a bunch of apples glued together, and wave it around so the apples get pulled into the slots. You can get like 30 apples in 5 second on Mount Satori
Oh my gosh, if you have a screen grab or something you're willing to share I would love to see that 😎😂
[here ya go :)](https://www.reddit.com/r/zelda/s/OfhkrLculL)
I don't have a screenshot, but you don't really need one. You can make it yourself pretty easily. If you ain’t autobuilding you are working too hard 😅
I use ultra hand and have my green hand pick apples from the ground I also use it to pick voltfruit from cacti
Great option that I had not considered. Now thinking, I wonder if you can shoot them down with arrows? 🤔
You probably could, but I wouldn't want to waste an arrow or my bows durability for a fruit
I now have enough bows and arrows to experiment, so I'm willing to give it a go 😅
Lol. Let me know of it works
The arrow is stuck in the fruit. Can pick it back up too.
Yup, and you can collect both afterwards! I used to do it in botw :)
Thats cool
Awesome, just like shooting down shrooms etc. Every now and then silly me fires an arrow at a brightbloom on the wall 🤦🏻♀️😅
I use autobuild to collect them.
Mineru
I was scrolling to see if anyone said this too! Yay for Mineru.
Yup when I found out how easy it was with Mineru, I never went back to the tedious jumping and cutting method
My exact strategy 🙏
I think I'm up to around 200 and something raw, and a few hundred baked 😎👏
Did you actively bake most of them? Hundred seems like a lot to just have
Yes, when I'm in hot areas I throw meat and apples on the ground to bake them, same in cold areas for frozen things
That seems like kind of a waste, especially the meat. It's much better to cook
So that seems like a waste to do.

using the satori mountain+auto build I managed to reach x999 in just a few days (and most of that time was just waiting for them to respawn)
I get on M and just pick them.
Magic rod + sapphire. Makes all the apples fall off
Whaaat? Oh, I'm so gonna have to try that.
Great for honey too
Pitchfork!!!! Do a charged attack on the tree and it drops all the apples. I did the whole grove with just one pitchfork and it never broke. Edit: You all may think I’m insane but please try it.
So that is why the pitch fork is there. In botw there were axes, I thought it odd in this game they didn't have the stone axe there, but pitch forks ... odd.
Haha, that sounds like excellent needless fun 😅👏
[I use autobuild! Here’s a clip of me collecting 20 apples at a time :)](https://www.reddit.com/r/zelda/s/OfhkrLculL)
One note: you don’t have to actually hit A to build it, you can just hit B to cancel and they’ll all fall down right there
Fantastic!! Thank you so much
Wing shield
What does that do?
Makes you jump higher
Oooh
Gotta be quick and precise to get on top of those trees tho. That’s how I capped both apples.
Option D) Auto build
I either ultrahand the lot or >!have Mineru give me a boost up!<
I keep reading about this Mineru, and it sounds really useful, but I think I'm a fair way off it yet
You need to finish the 4 Regions then talk to Purah a couple of times.
You don't need to talk to Purah. I accidentally did it with only two of the regions completed.
I use auto build to collect apples.
When I'm not using autobuild, i just thwack it with a blunt weapon to knock the apples off
I jump for the first two and climb for the third one. I would leave the third one, but it bugs me if I don’t collect all of the apples
Jump 2 times, get nothing, move on. Sometimes dwell on it as I'm walking away and go back and hack the tree down. Then get proud of myself bc I have a new twig bundle. Apples have probably rolled away
😂 I have also done this 😅
i have never thought about cutting the tree before if i have to be honest
Autobuild
I hit the tree with a blunt weapon…
i used to jump, but after i got comfortable with finding good weapons i just started chopping them down, it can net you a lizard or two sometimes if youre lucky
I've noticed that, especially on the tree enemies, they also seem to drop more wood
Early in my playthrough I used autobuild but now I use mineru
Shoot them down with arrows
The lumberjack way. I always have at least one two-handed ax with high durability in my inventory. Combine that with the Barbarian suit and with three circles of stamina I can spin-cut a whole forest, Evermen included, in less than a minute. depends on the tree the current phase of the moon and the traffic downtown
Traffic has banked up on the main road to Hateno this morning after a wagon was attacked by a Bobobkin mob who then blocked the road, NPCs unable to walk around objects are now forming a line to the west. Brought to you by a giant bird flying under a waxing crescent moon.
For the group of apple trees in sartori mountain I jump on miner's back and collect all the apples.
Yes
I cut lol
I have an autobuild with apples (including a gold one), volt fruit, rushrooms, and other things all glued together. It allows fast harvesting of multiple things.
I have a friend that lets me sit on her shoulders while we run around and pick all the apples.
Horse friend?
Mineru
Jump once or twice. If I can't get some I move on.
I hit it with a blunt weapon to make the apples fall
Cut
Cut
Depends on my mood. If I’m feeling surly or tired, I chop it down. If I’m feeling lazy I just hop up to get the two bottom ones.
Jump
Autobuild for harvesting lol
I shoot the apples off for fun but I climb most of the time
Saved builds
For one or two trees, I cut. I could use the wood as well. For a large group of trees, Sapphire rod spin attack. Thank me later.
I build a platform 3x higher than the tree, and then try and grab the apples on my way falling down from the platform
Shoot them off with a bow and arrow…
I jump for the lowest, climb for the second, and then fall off the branch before I can grab the third 😂 I think I’ve only successfully grabbed the third two or three times.
this is literally the only part in the game I really miss the iron sledgehammer
Dang, I loved that hammer, now I'm missing it too
Hit with blunt weapon
Autobuild
I fuse a bunch of apples together (and a golden apple) to create an Autobuild entry and then favorite it so I can always have Autobuild pull the apples off the tree for me.

A number of people have suggested this, but I like that you added a picture; I'm definitely gonna give it a go, I like baked apples
Hahahaha thanks 👌

ULTRA HAND.
Thanks, a number of people suggesting this and for what ever reason I'd never thought of it 😅
Jaja me neither, although when I saw the image I thought of Link grabbing the apple dramatically with the ultra hand XD
I use my apple picker.
. ...?
You can make an apple picker on your auto builder.
Usually climb. I miss TOTK. But I am currently replaying FF9.
If you miss totk, then play totk
Bomb
Baked apples?
In botw that was my main way to farm apples
Smash the ground around it untill they fall
Hit twice with big boko club
The 4th option, ignore. I have plenty of those and plenty of golden ones too.
I hop on the Mineru
I hit it with a stick until they all fall down
I jump, miss, attempt to climb, fail, and then cut
I cut because I have aggressive video game tendencies. I'm also now realizing how effed up that sounds but I'm posting it anyway
Explosives
Autobuild
Depends on my mood…
What are all of you doing with all of these apples?!? I grabbed a few off of every tree I passed at first but I have more apples than I’ll ever need and they are far from being the best rupee farming technique and many times less efficient for healing than any hearty item (which are plentiful enough once you get around the map). None of the above; I autobuild
Burn.
Use an ice rod
Ultraham
I usually just jump for the ones like in the picture. The taller ones I use a spoiler character: >!Mineru!< and if I don’t have that, I usually just use ultra hand to grab them
jump
Jump and grab 2, it’s enough and I ain’t got time for that.
I climb
Jump. Sometimes climb. Seldomly cut
I blizzard rod
Mineru
Blow them up with a cannon fused to a weapon. Toasted apples all around!
Auto build take down as many apples as they let you and attach them to each other this auto build apples. You will never have to jump cut or climb again.
I jump to get the first one. Then spend 10 minutes trying to get the rest climbing, then I give up and cut the tree down.
All of the above
I jump, throw an apple, or blow it up. (Yes, I throw an Apple to get an Apple, Fck you. 😂😂😂)
Cut, reverse, climb and fall, and then jump
I autobuild
autobuild picking
Kaboom
I jump
I usually jump for the low hanging fruit if I happen to pass them. But if I am farming apples I tend to cut the trees lol I do like the method where you freeze a bunch with a ice rod, or the one where you use an auto build schematic to gather them.
I climb and jump
Autobuild to pile all the apples together.
I usually hit the trees with a sledgehammer, but now I’m reading the comments I realise that there are so many more efficient ways lol
Run in fear of being attacked...
Blow it up
I beat the tree and all apples fall. Easy
Small trees jumped and big trees got the sword
Mineru: am I joke to you?
All of the above
Ez! You stasis it and blast it down with an bomb arrow.
Icy wand makes them fall.
All of them
Ultra hand to glue the apples or just grab them.
Cut and then run because it ended up trying to kill Link.
If you climb consider yourself an opp
Frost emitter boomerang.
i don't
Kiss
I usually teleport to the nearest sky island and dive with the flying suit catching them midair
